Staying at the nearby NZMCA park and grabbed this cache this morning while in the area, TFTC
Quick find. Interesting project! Only open on Thursday mornings. Found two caches, put both logs in original box. With reshamfiriri. TFTC
Found with kakariki. Another cache container lying in full view on ground nearby. Put both logs into cache. TFTC
It has stated to cloud over but it was easy to find. A young lad was in the swing across the road so stealth was required hence the photo. All good here. TFTC.
The plan for today was to take my bike up to Kurow and bike the newish section of the A2O between there and the Waitaki Dam.But before I left Waimate I decided to have another go at this and try and turn a blue face into a yellow. Yahoo! I was successful.Cheers for the cache, erninz.
A nice quick find at GZ. Looks like this will be a cool new addition to town once it’s all up and running. TFTC
Out and about for a Sunday drive. Time to head to Waimate for a late lunch and a couple more caches. Nice quick find here TFTC erninz
Found after a short search with Campmotherandken & hrh54 today, last of the day! TFTC
Last one for the day need some refreshments now - found with Juju54 and HRH54 - TFTC
Nice find although original cover has deteriorated. Inner cache still in good condition.
We had a quick look but found nothing. This is the fifth DNF so I think it needs checking CO.
second DNF in a row although I didn't spend a lot of time heremdue to workers over the road and the previous DNF log.
I am back in Waimate to sign off a few more caches.
This is one that I DNFed a year or two ago and again this time. DANG!

Day 8 of our Sth Island (substitute for Seattle) trip. Today it's Timaru/Waimate. We beat around the bush and it turned up. Thanks for bringing us here.

Took a few moments to find but got there in the end. Would love to visit here when it is open.
This will be an incredible asset to the town once completed. Hope to come back and see it one day. found with lytteltonwitch. TFTH
We are biking around seeing the sights of Waimate. Thanks for bringing us here erninz
Found all good thanks erninz for the placement...foggy old day ..nice and fresh though
#15731. All was quiet at GZ so we parked outside the gate and made a quick find. TFTC.
Our last day in Waimate, so we thought we'd better find some Waimate caches before heading back home to Christchurch . We set out at 8am on a grey dismal morning, eager to find as many caches as possible before the forecast rain started (luckily it remained dry until late morning).
No beating around the bush for us this morning as a quick find for StreetWalker. Now to return to our accommodation to make a coffee and pack up. TFTC.

Day 2 of our 6-Day End of the Year caching trip to Dunedin. It was infact precisely where I thought it would be on approach to GZ but we went and checked the real live thing first. Why didnt I stick to my instincts? Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies today. Happy Caching
Looks like a cool place. Will have to try and come back one day when it's open. Tftc
Found while on a weekend leave pass with Karma Reprint, heading up and down the Waitaki Valley with a few bike rides and wanders on the way. Looks like an interesting idea for an important historic part of NZ, no sign of it being open anytime soon though. Cheers
Good parking and a nice quick find, cheers.
Off on a caching weekend with Kiwi Moose, to the Waitaki and slightly beyond. Great weather, great place to be, great company, and more than a few little plastic boxes.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

While Mr Gruffalo cooked a Mothers Day roast lunch we came to find some Waimate Geocaches. This was a quick and easy find, plus we discovered some cute Waimate Rocks (which we took to rehide around both Waimate and Timaru). TFTC!
Nice and easy find,. Would be interesting to visit when the area is open/finished.TFTC
We certainly beat about the bush and must have overlooked it several times. It wasn't hard to find at all. TFTC
Holidaying with tmann421 and collecting some caches along the way. Really enjoying this lovely part of the country.
A nice quick find for us here. TFTC

First find of the morning on a bike ride to pick up some of the caches in the area. Not much beating about required, it was a pretty quick find. Signed log, TFTC
A quick easy find at an impressive entrance, but it looks as if the project still has a long way to go. TFTC
501 - really enjoying caches around waimate - have to come back here on a Sunday for the market
Having a ball caching around Waimate!! Last time we visited it was before caching, and I feel that we never got to know the place until now [^] Did not have to beat about the bush for long here! TFTC!!

Bugger me - I had this down as a DNF in 2013. Couldn't have looked very hard because I found it in 10 secs! Perhaps older, uglier and wiser these days.
Close to home and at the gates to a local community project established to recapture our pioneering past.
No beating around the bush with this one, quickly logged find with Granville86a
We did wonder about the place through the gate, looks interesting. Found with debsnz and Woody104
