It was a great cache, but I don't want to go to all the trouble of replacing it to find it goes missing again. So sadly I have to archive...
Very sad to have to do this - but between the last found it log and the DNF's there must have been a big working bee/clean up mission on the memorial by the hall. All the big shrubs have been pulled out and the stones that were around the memorial have been moved to under the new little plants. It doesn't look any better to us, maybe the harder surface they put in is easier for wheel chairs? Anyhow, the large book cache must have been removed. Temporarily disabling now, will probably have to archive, but I'll think on it.
What a beautiful day to head up to Wanganui for a weekend of caching. Headed off at lunchtime and continued until the sun went down. Great day and a lot of excellent caches in this part of the country.
Excellent cache and great theme. TFTC

With one of the Orsome4some being a Librarian, how could we not come and find this. In the end, only signed the log though. The hint made us laugh. TFTC. Great idea.
Will have to visit this one again to add to the collection. TFTC

I have driven past the series around Ohakea a few times with no time to stop off, but this trip to Palmy I decided that it was time to knock them off. As this cache was on the way, it would be rude not to grab this one also. No books to swap, but great idea. TFTC
Not so easy a find in some ways. Many children clambering over the War Memorial appeared to have found the cache and sorted through it. They knew all about it. However, the cache is well - I left a book did not remove one. Novel idea??? Thanks.
14 caches so far today. Time for lunch! Nice spot on the steps in the sun, out of the wind. Good idea for a cache too. Easy find. I wonder where to memorial was originally. TFTC
A quick stop on a trip heading North. A good opportunity to visit a few of the caches that have sprung up along SH1. The Picton Book Crossing cache was the first one of those I had done a few years ago. Always nice to come across another one. Good simple camo - took me a few seconds to pay attention to it!

Quick find with little blue hen. Area deserted so no problem with locating. Added a couple of toys. Already had a book to read so left the library in place. TFTCSL
Only have Kindle on me not about to leave the e-reader behind.

Back in the North island Caching all in good order sign log book . TFTC See Taybee log
Book caches were one of our first early finds. This one was a little tricky to retrieve and its great to see this type of cache still going strong. TFTC
Last (and best) find of a short session whilst the others were doing the sprint orienteering. Worth a FP for both the size and concept, TFTC.
Doing the circuit around Ohakea with Tramper Ted after the sprint orienteering champs at Ohakea air base. Wow this one is big - so big we had trouble extricating it. Thanks Swaybars 69.
Here for the New Zealand Orienteering Champs. Had a quick lap around the airfield picking up a few caches
Heading North once again following a long week in WGTN, so a few stops along the way seemed just what was needed
Great sized cache, a real surprise

Yes, you're so right, it is LARGE. Nice to see a cache this size, they are so rare! No swaps. but TFTC.
Cool cache what a great idea. Thank you. Wish we had remembered to bring a book... Signed log anyway. This is number 12 today!
I had scoped out some likely candidates for picking up on our road trip to Wellington for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular and when I saw this book swap cache I couldn't resist. An easy find, and the cache was all there and nice and dry. Picked up the travel bug, and dropped off one of our own. Swapped John Wyndham stories for a teen science-fiction trilogy (registered on bookcrossing.com but not compulsory to log).
Love the idea, and a favourite point from us. Thanks for the cache.

just love finding reason to get off the beaten track and explore the zillions of back roads.. and here was a perfect reason.. on this occasion had to drive on buy pretending to be lost on account of a little muggle in a very large farm implement deciding this was the place to stop and get out... finally i was alone and cursing these owners who think their caches are so obvious to the people who did not place them.. i realized in this case they where right.. who needs a clue for that!! Came here on a weekend trip to the Manawatu. Definitely a decent sized cache, Mrs agcnz would have loved this one. Found quickly - signed log, TFTC
Lots of choice for avid readers. Unfortunately I not one. Enjoyed finding the cache though. Cheers and TFTC
An afternoon's caching while going south on SH 1..good to stop off to get this one..What a cache!I'm all booked out at the moment so didn't need to take one and no room to put one in either! I looked through the titles..quite a range of books too..well done and TFTC!!
Maintenance visit today thanks Edwards Family for letting us know the lid was missing. The cache container should also be inside a BAG and now is again. If adding your book means the container cannot clip shut properly, please arrange the box and take an old looking book out, or take a book without leaving one. We need everything to be really weather tight for this cache. Glad you are all enjoying it. Re-visits are fine. It has some good books in there!
This was my second find of such a cache, the Picton equivalent being one of my first finds.
I didn't have any books with me today. I did not expect to get this far north today but the weather got better and better so I just kept on caching. The container is now full with a good variety of books.

It was finally time for KiwiFruitsNZ and Vamber to make their way back to Auckland - with a view to picking up a few more caches along the way, as well as tackling The Amazing Race multi by The Wonder Stuff.
Our colleagues needed a large cache so headed odff to get this one. A quick and easy find.

Day 5 of our New Year's geo-cation with KiwifruitsNZ, and this day marked our road trip back up the North Island, this time our destination: Taupo.
Cache was quickly spotted at GZ! Lots of books in there, but no swaps for us today. Thanks for the cool cache!

Thanks for the cache. Swapped a book, easy cache to find. Container is full, If you want to swap, bring a skinny book! Happy new year.
We are on our way to Christmas lunch so decided to do a couple of caches along the way. A very easy find and a neat idea for a cache. We ensured we had a book to swap and sure enough we found something to swap it with .

Heading southward again, this time on Christmas Day and dealing with a dot day - we just had to do some caching. This was the 12th one for the day.
Great cache - an obvious standout positioning - didn't bring a book with us so no swap this time. Love the concept though and gets a fave from me.
Cache find was straightforward. Cache in order; log signed, re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!
PS - I recommend Christmas Day caching, fewer muggles, less traffic and more 'get around' factor.

We were over to Sanson to pick up Mr RiffRaffs spoiler for his RX, had a look at the market
with Grandad RiffRaff and then set about picking up the rest of the caches in the area.
GPS was a bit goosey but Mr RiffRaff found it after a bit of a wander. Great idea. Thanks heaps for the cache.

This is an interesting variation. Dropped off Firefox Down at 1313hrs. Maybe not an appropriate title for this area. Took P North to read over the hols. TFTC
Great Cache, FYI the box was full of books,
TNLF, didn't find a log sheet to sign.

Easy as find but half books were soaked....luckily I brought a good stash with me so replaced all the wet ones
A nice quick find without any problems. We've done one of the book swap caches in Picton. A great idea. Didn't swap any books today though. TFTC
If the cache is over flowing and you see something you like - take a book! It beats the risk of them getting wet because they are not well covered. If a replacement would not fit, you do not have to leave one.
A quick easy find of this cache, which is full of books, with a few extras outside it nearby. There is slight dampness inside the cache. TFTC
Cool idea!!! Had a look...curious more than anything. Didn't swap a book..( didn't have 1 to swap with)... Love driving through country side seeing and hearing all the farm life!!
Another good cache found on a day adventure with TuisReturn.
Very early start and long day out and about.

12372… There sure are a lot of books to choose from, unfortunately, we didn’t bring any with us so no exchanges were made, many thanks for the Book Cache.

Eww spiders are out in force tonight. Biggest cache i have come across. Have left calling card. Thanks for the cache
Was out in Sanson for a late brunch so decided to pop over and check this one off the list. I love the idea of this cache. Nice one. TFTC!
I hadn't looked at the name or description of the cache until I got there, so I didn't bring any books to swap.
Nice idea for a cache.
Easy find.
Thanks.

Had a chat with Swaybars today and realised I should have put a favourite on this cache. After all, I have a reasonable library at home too!
Favourite added. Well done Swaybars, a great idea.

Took longer than it should have, but got there in the end. Lovely sunny day in the Manawatu today. Very little traffic about, but when it did come, it all seemed to come at once ... then quiet again!
Great idea for a cache, and fully stocked. Apart from the fact we didn't have any books to swop-in, there was also nothing inside that interested us to read. (maybe next time).
Well done, on a good idea.

A quick bike ride out to this one today on a still Winters day, and the great big container was found
Will have to return with geo-daughter to swap book in/out
Nice location for a cache too.

More of a watcher/listener than a reader, so didn't make a trade - just signed the logbook and carried on. Great idea for a cache!
thank you so much for the cache! i will try and come up sometime and put an extra book or two in. we took the ape, butterfly and dumbo book but only had one with us to leave behind. 3 geograndkids were with me today!
An amazing War memorial here I wondered what the hall was called so I was surprised to see it called Ohakea. Thanks for showing this to me.
