You didn't stump me. I'm glad it is the time of the year for dry grass or else I would be soaking wet collecting cache from the side of the Manawatu Roads. I didn't have to dig for too very long, to find this one.

13-Dec-23
This was a puzzle that I solved nearly three years ago, at the recommendation of a more seasoned geocacher (Bruzie, if I remember correctly. It certainly taught me about geocaching in Spain!Today, heading north to Taranaki with rattll, we found ourselves in the vicinity of the solved coordinates, so stopped to search. The vegetation around GZ was very overgrown, leading to a rather more extended search than anticipated. Came up with the goods in the end. All well in container. Tftc!

04-Mar-23
Only had to dig a little to solve this. Quick find of the buried treasure today, cheers the Seagnoid ️

Found it!

Solved a few months ago but didn’t click that I drove past here every weekend.
First finder of 2023!

Nice and dry, well hidden and good camo

Day 3/20 of my puzzle caching challenge series and I decided to take some time after work to travel to Spain. Who knew Spain would be so wet and miserable at this time of year! After some wading about , and lots of digging, I found the cache.

Very cool puzzle

Stayed in Levin last night and now pottering up to. Stopping on the way for a few caches. Parked up in SH56 and headed out for 6 caches along the road with a slight detour to this one. Managed to get all of them so well worth the cycle ride. Cache all fine here. Quick ride and grab. Thanks for the smiley.

Up from Kapiti with Flowerydaze finding caches in and around Palmerston North. A lovely Summers day for it as well. A quick find thanks to the clue, some muggles around so had to stand and "take photos" to look the part, an easy retrieve and replace. TFTC

19-Feb-21
As soon as we stopped the car we saw the hint object. Unfortunately due to a muggle approaching, and slowly, Talla64 was obliged to stand and pretend to take photos and we admired the view. As soon as he had gone, we were on to it and the cache was a quick find. Thank you for the puzzle and for the cache the Seagnoid.

Thought I was up-to-date with my logging, but I see this cache find is missing. This day I'm pursuing geocaches to contribute to the **project-gc** 360° From Home Challenge for 193-194°
Very clever little puzzle. I might just use that for one of my own geocache hides as it's a subject that has long intrigued me since I learnt in primary school New Zealand was diametrically opposite Spain as seen in a school atlas back in the '60s.
Straight forward find. Worth a FP TFTC

07-Mar-20
Making my way from Levin to Palmy that took a whole day! Taking another little detour here Smile So cool - and it looks like a visit to Spain would be great! Maybe I need to start digging!!! TFTC!!

Solved from home and soon uncovered. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We were really keen to log a Leap Day Event cache and collect the souvenir, but our nearest was the camp-out at Awhitu. We have already cached in that area and wanted to use our time a bit more effectively, so we reasoned that a trip south would be worthwhile. There were three events in the Manawatu region. Road trip...

Another Leap Day marked and confined to history - Now it’s time to head home to some normality, but not before we visit a few more caches along the way... Gap solved this nice little puzzle. Luckily, we didn’t need to book air flights to Spain, nor did we need to dig too deeply for this one. Buenos dias the Seagnoid. TFTP and TFTC.

Solved this one a long time ago, have done puzzles similar before the easy to solve options became available. As we were in the area heading towards the KAS series we spotted the solved icon on the map, no worries with the find on a nice hot New Years Eve day.

(# 5102). Today is a trip up the way to grab some Palmy caches. The weather was kind so an enjoyable day all up. Had solved this some time ago. A quick find at the final. Everything in order. TFTC

04-Mar-19
On a planned geocaching trip with specific targets.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 1 Hamilton to Wellington 31 caches.
I left Hamilton at 6am and got to Paekakariki at 4pm.
I solved this some time ago. It was not when I was in Spain though. As that was before geocaching started. So pleased to finally be in the area to collect. Thank you for the placement

It's a wonderful thing to be able to sign off on our some of our solved puzzles, this was a nice puzzle and a straight forward find. TFTC

A quick and easy find. Cheers

We are on our way back south now. A quick trip, so not much time for caching. Signed the log as Ms+Mr KR.

Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

#6366. Heading north today on a 2-day drive to Auckland. A bit of a late start but time to divert into Palmerston North and pick up a few solved puzzles. I have a similar puzzle to this one so knew what was required here. So didn't take too long to solve. Parked near GZ and after a minute or two of circling the most promising object I finally spied the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks the Seagnoid for the puzzle and the cache.

23-Nov-18
The start of another big Geocaching weekend for the lad and I (we are doing the Stickman series tomorrow) so another chance to go and spend a great evening with friends in Palmy, and to grab a cache or two on the way up to knock off another dot day whilst we are at it.

Most of my recent journeys to Palmy have been approaching from the southwest, but today I decided to travel up this way instead and make a point of grabbing this solved Puzzle. I hadn't been down this particular road for me, but it was nice and quiet as I would have expected as I parked up near to GZ. We spotted an obvious likely hide location, and on investigation we came up with the container after a brief search.

The contents were quite damp, with the logsheet being the worse for wear, so I popped in a replacement logbook, having signed it for the pair of us, and then put it all back before heading back towards Palmy central.

Thanks for setting up this Puzzle. As I'm half Spanish I'm always interested in any cache that involves Spain.

08-Oct-18
I solved this one during my "Wow, I can solve some of these!" phase during the Planetary Pursuits promotion. As we are house sitting in the big villa, I had a chance this morning, before the other 2Prettys woke up, to zip out and find some caches. This one had a faint geotrail, through wet grass (thankfully it's shorts weather!) right up to what would be the hint object, if there were one. I'm not sure we the attributes say a tool is needed, but I was happy to sign the log and replace the container as found. The log is a bit damp and could probably use freshening on your next visit past.
Thank you for the mystery and the cache!

22-Sep-18
Worked out a while ago, just waiting for a day in PN.
Nice drive in the country after a hard day of training in the area
Log wet but able to be signed.

11-Jul-18
I took a day off work to do some geocaching up in the Rangitikei area. Mostly to bulk out my numbers for the Hidden Creatures, but to also finish qualifying for a couple of challenge caches, plus a few other geocaching tasks. I had solved this ages ago and it wasn't until I had already gone past the wrong road that I thought I'd go and grab it, so turned back to head the right way. All good here. TFTC

07-Jul-18
I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal

Out here with Scoria in the Palmerston North area, today specifically targetting regular size caches at the start of the day all I need to get the bronze badge for the regular size cache badge was 18 more regular caches, not an overly hard to goal to achieve over the next couple of weekends

Although this is not one of the target caches I had on my list it stills adds to three of my other long-term goals

With all but one of the target caches found and logged, the sun starting to set behind the rain clouds there was just enough time remaining in the day to grab one more cache on the way home.

Scoria noticed that he had solved this cache a while back but had never around to going out and logging this cache for some reason. So we headed off to solve this small oversight and correct it. We soon arrive parked up and made our way to ground zero and soon had the cache in hand

Thanksfor the cache

07-Jul-18
Out with D6 targeting regular caches to build up his stats and picking off a few bonus caches that were in the nearby vacinities.

We were over long burn and I noticed this little mystery on my screen which I had solved a couple of years ago, I was suprised I hadn't previously found it.

Simple resolve and we picked it up on our way home.

Pity this doesn't rate as a Spanish find, I could use a find in another country Smile.

Cheers.

In Manawatu for the long weekend so spending the day exploring - and collecting caches. Had solved this some time ago so had to get it even though it was raining. TFTC

Found while on a day out with junior cacher. Not a bad afternoon's haul, for me: this mystery cache, 20 trads along a power trail and a previous DNF. Thanks for the cache and another interesting puzzle to solve.

My Dad always said if you dig deep and straight you will end up on China ...guess the same applies here thanks for the cache

23-Nov-17
Didn't have to dig too deep to find the coordinates - a couple of Sangrias later....Solved a few caches in anticipation of a trip down this way but this was the only mystery signed off. We will be back!! The grass was talker than me and no trail in. My eyes are still watering from all the pollen lol. Cache all ok here - but no dashing Spaniard to help. Thanks for the puzzle and placement the Seagnoid

Didn't have too many issues solving this cache and after a day out with Popmac finding a heap of caches, this was one of the last of the day. No problems locating the cache today. Thanks for the cache.

#831 Funny, when I was in Portugal, and the locals found out I was from NZ, they would always mention that if you dig a hole from there you can get to NZ ! Funny thing was, my nephew was talking about this exact thing a couple of weeks before, something about making a sandwich between the two spots, in any case, the website he mentioned helped me out.

Clearly there hasnt been a recent visit to the cache location and there was no geotrail inthe VERY long grass. The final location is quite cool, gets a fav from me for that! How does one find these random locations to put a cache? Thanks.

19-Nov-16
#29 Found with mum. Lucky she didnt get me out of the car or else i would have gotten lost in the grass!

Sidewaze was onto this one straight away so quickly solved so basically I was along for the ride. Stunning sunrise here today and I couldn't help but wonder what the sunset might be like in Spain. TFTC #9374

This cache has been on my list to do for a while now, had a work mate help me work it out, so had a couple more to grab while over in palmy, the log book was soaked through, i replaced it with a new bag and some of my note pad paper until Co gets a chance to replace with book. Thanks for the cache placement, and what gave the office something cool to talk about.

I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.

Today I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a full day of caching before an event in the city tonight. We picked up a few caches around the city first, then drove down towards Opiki collecting caches down some of the side roads as we went, then headed across to do the KAS Power Trail, before going up to do the caches around Ohakea then headed back to Palmerston North. Solved this puzzle a few nights ago and as we happened to be in Spain today, we dug our way to this cache and eventually had it in hand. TFTC!

Vistra and I headed down to Manawatu as the KAS trail has been bugging me in its incomplete form, as we both needed numbers for personal goals it seemed like a good opportunity. Thanks to the cache owners for all the caches and the variety, over 2 days I found over 200 caches, so thank you for placing and maintaining them.

Most were quick easy finds, although there were some very clever ones and some well thought out. A bit of last minute working before we set off and we had the coords, nice easy find onsite. TFTC

Had this one solved for a while so decided to collect today to keep my 70 day streak alive.
Nice quick find here. The cache was quite wet and as it was raining I couldn't dry it out.
Had to sign in the driest part of the log book i could find to stop my pen from ripping up the paper further.

I've had my suspicions about this one for a while, and having bounced my thoughts off EL, I'll be back to grab this one soon.

03-Mar-15
I dug and I dug and gave up....then I changed tack and dug again and worth the effort and a few prickles to come up trumps!

I did wonder if there was a lot of rain in that area of spain of there would be flooding issues.

21-Feb-15
I wish traveling from one hemisphere to the next was this easy! After adjusting the resolution on the Surface Pro to accommodate the digging tool the puzzle was solved quickly. Once at GZ I stepped into a rabbit hole... which made me smile... perhaps this really IS a portal to Spain! The container and contents were in fine condition when found; the log was signed and the cache returned to the hide. Thanks for the fun globetrotting cache hunt, Tom.

Quick find once the initial mystery was solved. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Spain, brought back some childhood memories Wink TFTC..

This required a bit of a chat.... no... a big bit of a chat.. to solve this one and in the end another Gcer took pity on my futile attempts. so finally it was a drive ... my car will float!! and I arrived in Spain..I Wish!!!!!!!!!! I had no trouble with customs even although they did query my super hydraulic retractable spade which proved not to be required!!! So after signing the log, retracting my spade and packing the floatable car again I was on my way home.. OOPS! i had foreign soil on my shoes, I didn't declare this! and got home finally. thank you for the cache!

This puzzle had me stumped for a bit but I was able to finally work it out! Today I was in Palmy to collect the smilie.

As I pulled up I could see a geo-trail so I was confident I was in the right location. After waiting out a couple of cars I went in and found the cache in the second spot I looked.

I think this is the third cache based on this theme that I have found now. Solved the first one using the hit and miss approach. Employed the Dovedale method for the second two which is a lot more accurate. Cheers and TFTC

Nothing like the opportunity to be caching on the old home turf. And a pleasant day's caching it was too.
This one solved before leaving home, but in preparation for this visit.
Nifty concept, requiring a bit of brain work to figure.
Once at GZ, straightforward find; cache in order, log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.

Out of curiosity, soon after taking up geocaching, I figured out which cache was the furthest from home. I wondered if I would ever get there - not likely, I suppose.

At the time, I did think about setting up a cache of my own of this nature but that's as far as I got. As soon as I hovered over the question mark on the geocaching map, I confidently guessed how this puzzle was going to work. Well done, the Seagnoid; you made a far better job of this than I would have done.

There's only so much backfilling you can do while tunnelling so I just followed the "geotrail" and made a quick find during my lunch break.
Only just made it back to work in time - Spain is a long way from Palmy Hospital, especially on a 50cc scooter with a head wind! Surprised

I think I was the second successful GeoCheck tick but for some reason I never made to to GZ to claim the smilie. Now that August has arrived, I am very pleased that I hadn't!

Nice quick find after A LOT of digging.

Worked out the co-ordinates a while ago, knew the idea of what to do straight away but it still took quite a bit of figuring out the exact method required. The find was reasonably quick thanks to the geo-trails in the area. There are many suitable hiding places within a 1m radius of the cache though.
