as the lid is broken I will archive this one and look at replacing when I'm next in the area
Out and about for a three day road trip. Day 2.
After yesterdays rain the area is still a little wet. The locals need it so I am not complaining ... much.
I managed to park close to this one and made a quick find.
Unfortunately the container (well the lid) is broken and will need replacing.
Thanks for the cache.

The first damp, cool day that I can remember since we left home in early March on our way to attend the Red Centre Experience over Easter. Where to keep warm and keep dry? Driving around the area with the occasional jump in and out of the car to grab a cache.
This was #1 and due to the great coordinates, it was almost a DIDO. (Just that we were on the wrong side of the road. ) Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find Rainforest Cookie. Stamped log.

Another fine day for a drive and a few caches on the way to Texas.
Not many muggles around today, and a good quick find here.
Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie,

Catching up on what should have been logged long time ago. Driving the long way down from Brisbane to Sydney, added an 1944 Australian penny into cache.
Found nice and easily while camped nearby at Texas. Cache in good condition. Tftc
Interesting looking at old mines and diggings and thinking about the history and people involved. Did this one make them a fortune or send them broke?thanks for the journey and cache.
Found at 1:14 PM GAFF1.
This is the first time we got out of the car after leaving Stanthorpe and we were immediately struck by how much warmer it was out here! Interesting old mining equipment around here and the view down the valley was lovely.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.

As we approached GZ we were a little apprehensive about making our way through the long grass. However we then saw a much better route and we got to GZ without any hassles. We located the cache immediately. Apart from the hinge on the lid of the cache being broken, the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Rainforest_Cookie for the cache.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
With a few days off work, it was time to head out west towards Stanthorpe. This cache was number 7 for the day, and was a quick find after a short search. I added my name to the logbook, and rehid the cache before heading off to grab a few more for the day [^]

Nice easy find. Had no idea this had been a silver mining area in the past so it was great to stop and view the mine ruins. TFTC
I rarely cache these days but couldn't resist this one. As last I was working down here I pretty much parked on top of it without realising.
This is an historic mining lease so there is no actual mining on this one. That happens on the other lease down the road towards town when it is operating.
It is a silver mining area.

super quick drivby, just the way we like them ! will have to do some research on this area , certainly some history here, thanx for the cache and showing us !
Out go a Sunday drive and ended up in Texas. Thanks for the cache. Found easily. Onto the next one.
Our cache find 1951, birth year of hubby! Just as well the old workings are here. Just as I pulled the cache out of its hiding spot a school bus appeared out of nowhere and delivered a young Muggle to his home. Hubby took pics of the old workings, bus drove off and the log was signed and returned safely to its spot. TFTC

On our drive to Texas couldn't stop at other caches as no room to park a van so was good to be able to stop and grab this one. TFTC
After attending the mega event we decided to head inland for a few days. This was one of several caches found along the way.

Found while attending the Qld Mega event over the Easter weekend. Decided to take a trip out to Texas on our 6th day in the area. Found quickly on the drive. TFTC.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! So, I attended the Stanthorpe mega at the request of several members of the organsing team. Having been to every event designated "Mega" in Australia up to this time I almost felt an obligation to oblige. I knew I would have fun catching up with the many friends I've made Australia-wide and that caching would be done -- and done it was! These are the finds I made while in the area and I enjoyed all of them despite the rainy and a tad cold weather. I cached with Uni, Shonky, and SX as well as Moneydork throughout the weekend. Thanks to all who placed caches in the region, they were all enjoyable.
We couldn't help but build a detour to Texas into out MEGA trip as we were caching with SEMIK, who is initially from Texas USA.
Interesting spot. A quick find on my way to the Stanthorpe Mega event. TNLNSL TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Quick find as we drive toward Stanthorpe for the Mega 2015.
See you there Rainforest Cookie!

We were pleased to have the opportunity to visit the other Texas today (we have we to the Lone Star State) and managed to find this cache on our way. A big thanks to Rainforest Cookie
A silver mine most likely as there is a bigger one up the road closer to Texas. I doubt that this one is still in use but it makes finding the cache more enjoyable to see these old mines and equipment. Tftc
Found while in Texas for a wedding.
Day after the wedding most getting together for lunch, so thought I would do this before the get together.
A nice drive out of town and a nice bit of history

A nice find while travelling to Tenterfield. I've only just realised the area is called Silver Spur. This certainly is the wild wild west! I enjoyed finding this cache. Well done RC.

Progressively working my way south now to go west a little. Started out on the run to Texas at a reasonable hour. Giving the macropod family time to get off the road and back to bed, the live ones that is. Quick find.Very quiet. TFTC Rainforest Cookie
Well this was where we were headed with Aussie Liahona driving Betsy the Beast and fearlessly exploring the wild west in search of caches. This HAS to be the wild wild west. Why there is even a silver mine! You don't get one of those with an urban cache I can tell you. Yippee ai ay! We were on an adventure and this was just a part of it. Good work with the series Rainforest Cookie.
Well, congratulations must go to Harleyria for their FTF on this cache today. We were hoping for the FTF ourselves but you beat us to it and must have been here earlier in the day. The early bird catches the worm! Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie. We are really enjoying our tour of the Wild Wild West on our way to Texas. Thanks for bringing us out here. NINOSL as 2nd TF.
FTF! Whoo hoo! This is a really top road for motorcyclists, and a great excuse to go riding the Hog to find a cache along the way. Didn't know I would be the first to find, so that's an added bonus. Took TB, left "Found" embroidered patch, and SL. TFTC Rainforest Cookie!
