We definitely both had one of those parallel universe twilight zone GPS moments.at this hide. Both of our phones said the hide was 50 metres away. Usually my iPhone and my wifes Samsung are close but usually fight over a metre or two. This time they both agreed on how far away the hide was.The weirdest part is that I really wanted to check something that I had parked right next to. Thats where I found the hide and when I got back to the car both our phones were still saying 50m away. tftc
A quick park and grab on a country drive helping my youngest rack up driving hours. All in good condition here. Tftc!
TFTC & for bringing us to this location. Found on an overcast afternoon with my two-munchkins MissCharlieBear & AmazingGracieGrace Geocache is in great condition, comes with a pencil (not that we needed one) for signing the log sheet.Signed Log, Took SWAG, Left SWAG & Returned As Found.Geo-munchkins thought the SWAG was awesome!!
Working may way towards a personal milestone of caches found in one day. Target is 70 and this cache is number 51 for the day.
On track to get there by close of play.
Cheers

Spending a day caching around Nanango on all the roads less travelled
Probably the cleanest place for a dip around at the moment after all the recent rains making the creeks very muddy.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Two old Tassies having another go at a few caches not too far out, fitting them in between other necessities for the day. Got a fair string this arvo. including this one which we "ticked off" pretty efficiently. Thanks for many of today's finds youngoldfella.
I had a couple of dips, but Mrs SKI came up with it on her first!
Rain put a bit of a dampener on today's plans literally, but in the morning it allowed us to do a bit of housekeeping and minor repairs.
After lunch from the pizza place in town we decided to head out and dodge the showers and see what we could find. Our early efforts where stymied when Loche Lane was closed, but we moved around to some others. When finished here we thought we would push our luck and head out to Nanago Brooklands Rd and a few caches that are along there. That was a great decision as there was some really good caching along that section.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Catching up on my finds from a few months ago. Had an hour spare on my way back to Jericho TFTC
Tftc YOF, day out from Nanango today to collect a few caches that we missed out on last time we were in the area
Weather fabulous , but will get warmer .
Smaller now, found on ground.

A lovely morning driving around these country roads picking up some smileys and this is one we found. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for another one youngoldfella.
Enjoying country roads and caching with Aussiemates. It seems strange to us the idea of tick free and not... Aussiemates walked the long way around while I went straight to it. TFTC
Nanango Blitz Weekend with Stealth Seeker.
Had to stop for this one on our return journey as the farmer was there.
I did the circuit to locate it and just before I reached the last side, SS found it -the first place she looked.

After a couple of days cycling in the area it was time to head home. However there is more than one way home and more than one way to travel the back roads.
Spent a very enjoyable day ambling back to Linville (not on the BVRT) . Some beautiful country through here as well.
Must be fatigue setting in already, took 3 rounds to pull out this cache.

Round and round i went, oh there it is.
Sort of spitting, and there's kind of a shelter here, should i stay... is it going to rain... aaah too many unknowns. Ok let's do this.
Back into it i go.
No ticks or cows sighted.
I read that nanango's split with ticks. Right down the middle. Is this true?
Thanks yof for teaching me about what this is and what happens here with a geocache.

Shame that someone has decided that they are going to spray graffiti over the two water tanks. Senseless. If you they want to do some artwork, why don't they do art - not scribbles! A nice quick find, no. 22 of day 2 caching around Nanango. We decided to have a quick bite to eat and drink at this spot. TFTC.
TFTC. We are in Nanago for a few days before heading to Maryborough on Friday. We arrived just after lunch and set up camp at the showgrounds. We then settled on a direction to head to find as many caches as possible in the couple of hours before it got dark. A great couple of hours with 21 finds and only 1 DNF. Despite the rain the dirt roads were in good condition. High grass, so glad we were playing today and not in the height of summer. Thanks YOF for the adventure.
Nice quick one here. Only one lap and spied the container.

My husband and I are staying at nanango for a couple of days and this afternoon i dropped him off at the races and I'm off finding some caches. Love this country rd. At gz I took one lap before I spotted this cache. Thankyou for all the fun
Didn't find this one, but there was a lot of treasure on the ground with a pencil and a smashed plastic container. I would suggest that this one has been destroyed, which is a shame as I was trying for the full set.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
Day after the 2019-2020 New Years catch up.

Caching with Oddiewan, Moneydork, Flash_Cat, BitternA4 and others at the New Year event in Kilkivan. Exploring the area caching style and as always lots of laughs when enjoying time with friends.
On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the container is small we may sign as CG.
Found on the ground in the open. Left the contents in a new ziplock bag.
Lots of thanks to youngoldfella for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

#9016 - 08:10; Day 2 of the South East Queensland tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Nanango late yesterday after getting belted by a storm later in the afternoon/early evening. Much to our relief the heavy rain seems to be moving on and it is only overcast and occasional light drizzle this morning. Another quick find on our morning run as the rain seems to be clearing. TFTC youngoldfella
On a 5 day trip around the south east of Queensland with LuckyL10n chasing Geocaching Australia caches. Now in Nanango and with the GCA logs completed it's time to complete the GC's that were found.
Stopped here for the nearby multi and grabbed this one on the way back to the car. Met a farmer who had a few head of cattle in the yards and he was up for a chat, so stayed around for a few minutes before he had to attend to them.
Thanks again for the cache Youngoldfella.....cache all good.

Out and about on a day of caching adventures, seeking Hidden Creatures and getting a few smilies . After a very early and foggy start to the day we arrived in Nanango for a quick stop to stretch the legs and acquire some sustenance for the day ahead. We then travelled up hills, down dales and all over the local country lanes bouncing over pot holes and swimming through a few boggy patches.
We scrambled through long grass, poked our hands into all manner of hidey holes and found all the caches in good order, where they were supposed to be. Logs were signed and everything was returned as found. Thanks youngoldfella for a most enjoyable day and for bringing us to a new place to explore. TNLNSL TFTC .

Today's caching hunt was brought to us courtesy of youngoldfella, with his extensive list of caches in and around Nanango. We have had another busy day selecting from the menu on offer and have had a lot of fun.
Apologies for the generic log but that's the way it has to be for us. Each found cache had our name put on its log before it was replaced as it had been found. Thanks, youngoldfella, for the variety of containers and hide types. We only wish we had more time to continue working on your caches.

Found this cache hiding safe and sound. Nice quiet day so the log was quickly signed and returned. TFTC YOF!
Decided to spend a few days camping in Nanango with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to go out and find some of the caches hidden in this beautiful part of QLD.
Scruffy being a country dog knew exactly what the smell was,
"so ready to get dipped Scruff ?" .. nah better not, she'll make a mess of the back seat of the car .. lol ..
All Good .. TFTC ..

Up North today today finding some caches I've purposely left for a day like this. With my thermos filled and tunes pumping, I set off.
This was on the ground when I approached GZ. I signed the log and returned it to a good and likely spot. Thanks for the cache, youngoldfella!

Nice and quiet here today. Not even the smell of the cattle - wind must have been blowing the other way.
Another one easily located thanks.

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you youngoldfella for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Spoilt for choice it was difficult to decide on where to cache today. We decided on a small loop before lunch then a longer list for the afternoon.
We were impressed with the quality of the cache locations and containers here in Nanango. Very happy with our total of 42 finds with only 2 DNF's add to that 1 cache that muggles were hanging around even though we tried twice today. Think we will retry that on Monday when schools in.

Doing a maintenance run after a few found logs in the past few days have highlighted some issues. No issues reported here but as I was driving pas anyway decided to check on it. All Good. Have Fun.
Back home after a couple of weeks caching, camping, and 4wding. Catching up on all the logs.

On a cache run from Toowoomba to Nanango with Eskies5 as I head towards a targeted milestone. Skipping over Nanango we decided to head down this road and do a bit of a loop to grab a stack! All caches along here were found after a quick search, GPS coords were excellent. Containers in great condition. Sorry about the cut and paste logs, so many found today! TFTC and day youngoldfella
A numbers run was required in order for Kestal to reach a milestone on an upcoming trip and the Nanango area provided a suitable playground. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just the driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda...a handful of those on the list I had previously found but was happy to stop by again for Kestal to jump out and make the find. I apologise for the largely cut n paste logs as we did manage to collect 50+ smilies today. TFTC youngoldfella.
continuing on our afternoon of caching, found this well maintained cache so decided to drop of a TB. tftc
WE made the find, signed and returned, then turned to admiring the cattle yards and the dip, that is one well constructed dip and so clean. TFTC
Decided to go for a drive today with the GeoWife and clean up a few green icons along the way. Plenty of fun finds and great caches. Thank you for placing the caches to be found. Tftc
We are in your territory Youngold fellow. Nice to find your cache for a change TFTC.
After spending the last few weeks settling in to my new abode and being domestic and stuff like that. Decided that I had to get back to doing what I like best Geo Caching. So I set out on a mini road trip to explore my new surrounds and hopefully pick a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me here
Today was a combination of both domestic duties and geocaching. After moving into the caravan park and saying gidday to the Gullivers it was time to wash clothes, the floor, do some cooking etc. Then out we headed to do some geocaching. We love these rural areas for geocaching and we enjoyed the location and finding the cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.

Happy to have been able to attend the nearby event and then off along the dirt roads with Nature0Nut to log a few caches and soak up the scenery.
The flora seemed to be greener along this stretch and lots of tiny wildflowers. Its quite dry in some patches, so hope you get rain soon

Saturday. Slow Puncture took off early to fuel up Blue Thunder for our excellent day out at Youngoldfella's "Nanango's First Event" event. We had a hassle-free drive from Burpengary to Nanango, particularly enjoying the part of the trip from Blackbutt onwards, as we had not been past there in a long time.
Please pardon our generic log, but this is the only way we will ever get them recorded This cache, like all of the ones one our trip, was found in good order, and with lots of recent logs from cachers well known to us!
This was the 10th of 36 caches found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]youngoldfella[/Blue], for showing us this place.

After attending Nanango's first event, Ms Maddy and I happily went caching into what seemed like the wilderness. I absolutely adored the scenery! Thank you so much for bringing us here youngoldfella! This was a nice and easy find. TFTC!
Lucky Dip indeed! It's always a good thing to have this necessity when out and about out of the towns. This location was extra special as it held a geocache that we were glad to find today and happy to add our signature to the log. Thanks youngoldfella for another great cache location on these wonderful country roads. Cheers! [^][^]
