Sorry guys looks like this one has been muggled. Needs to be replaced. Stay tuned for version 2.0
Today out caching and attempted this one of many in the area but could not find after a 30 minute search. Having said this, the cache owner may want to check that cache is still in place as a tree lopping company was trimming all the tree's in and around the museum.
Thanks All, I will take a look this week and make sure everything is ok or make a replacement.
02/01/2014 15:16 This one I was hopeful of finding (before reading the recent logs) as I had help guide iamapom to it a few months back. Looking at the correct tree I searched for a few minutes but saw nothing. Carl assured me it was quick enough, once you knew where to look. Looked, up, looked down but no joy for me tonight. Thanks anyway. It is probably time for a CO check.
Searched for this cache for almost 45 minutes with no result Possibly muggled, so suggest a maintenance call to check if still where it should be.
We have always enjoyed visiting the museum, and the each member of the family have their particular favourites of some of the more long term exhibits.
After waiting a minute for the coast to be clear, I was able to jump in and grab this most effectively camouflaged container.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it after a dinner of Lygon street after watching the new hunger games movie .
We found this cache a little bit more difficult than we expected it to be as it was quite nicely camouflaged. We were looking around the wrong tree for quite a while but after that Geomum moved to the right tree.
Soon after that she made one of her first finds (it was a good one to)!!!
We quickly signed the log and returned the cache as it started to rain. We are extremely glad we found this one quickly as it wasn't a very nice day.

I had had an enjoyable lunch with some former work colleagues from a couple of decades back and now it was time start back towards South Melbourne to pick up my car after it had been serviced. I came upon this one and read "Michells&hound" log as I arrived.
Undeterred I decided to look around. After trying a couple of spots I noticed something lying on the ground...it looked like the missing camouflage. After checking another couple of spots I had the cache in hand...and yes, it fitted neatly into the camouflage that I had picked up. I signed the log and returned the now camouflaged cache to where I had found it.
Thanks to Hafraser for putting the cache here and Asteria76 for looking after it...although I have manged to put it back together, I think you still need to check it out to make sure it is all OK and in the right place.

Found jar on ground minus any Cammo and logs strewn on grass. Have replaced all and covered in a suitable spot right where I found it alas not time to do more sorry needs attention ASAP.

Suscoe was in town for some time today and as we had to walk past this spot we couldn't resist the temptation!
Once the lunching school groups headed into the Museum we were able to search in relative peace.
Cache soon spotted.

Another early morning stop for a cache on the way to work. Only a couple of muggles around at this hour so I was able to search freely. Found the nicely camo'd cache after a few minutes.
Thanks Asteria76 for the cache. This reminds me we haven't been to the museum for a while.

Good hide. Found it after a short search before fleeing inside the museum to get out of the rain.
A good easy find, after doing a bit of walking, got near GZ, and had a rest and eyed up possible GZ, to my surprise I spotted it quite quickly, although someone had already beaten me to it today, TFTC.
Made a bit of a mess of this one to begin with. Found it in the end. Enjoyed a nice stroll after another great dinner on Lygon street.
A very nice area. Mit freundlichen Grüßen und bestem Dank Piratenstefan

Found this afternoon. Easy find with
perfect coordinates. I hope it is
in the intended spot. I am worried
muggles might see it easily?
Great cache - TFTH!

Out caching for the day with Team Crackers, we had to have a good look around before this one made itself known and we were able to sign the log book.

Out with The Coffee's for another one of our Sunday jaunts around inner Melbourne hoping to grab some urban caches on a not so busy day.
We visited the old museum when we were younger, but have only been to the new one once for the Tutumkamum exhibition. There were a few muggles roaming around but at least being daylight we didn't have to worry about miniature cowboys or living dinosaur skeletons, Even so the cache took us a few minutes to locate but we are happy to say that now our names are in the log book.

At the museum popped out to feed the meter and look for the cache found after a little while
Couldn't pass this one up before visiting IMAX to see Gravity. A very quick find with some nice cammo.
Thanks for the cache

Picked this up on my way to lunch. There were a lot of school kids and police around, but they were too busy with the classic car show to be bothered with me poking my head around, and I found the cache without any issues. Nice container (and especially camo) - I found myself staring at it for a few seconds before realising I'd found it. Thanks for placing it!

Given the "Flashlight required" attribute and the cache name we assumed this was some sort of night cache. Got a big surprise when we actually found the nicely cameoed cache! We remember when the MM was located in another part of Melbourne. Things have changed since then, although many of the displays back then are still available at the present location.
FEDBACK TO CO:- The substance that your container is made of is not on the Groundspeak recommended list (for obvious reasons) and suggest you need to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Asteria76.

Awesome little hide. Luckily there wasn't too many people about today so was able to have a sit down to enjoy the sun and sign the log in a bit of leisure. Unfortunately time is against me today so couldn't visit the museum
Just as I got to GZ a muggle arrived and sat down. Had to wait a while but finally was able to search and sign. Thanks Asteria76.
After a visit in the museum and enjoying the newborn sun, we found this cache very quickly. The coordinates were very exact. Thanks for hiding
Nice and easy found after the visit to Melbourne museum. TFTCSL. Love two duckling cache guardians.
Cool camouflage, found easily enough though. Because of this cache I ended up visiting the museum.
Thanks for the cache. Did this one after the bike expo a couple hundred meters away. Only took a second to find. Thanks to the CO for this one. PIPPAESP
Took the Geokids to the nearby playground to burn off some excess energy.
Whilst they were playing, I wandered over to this cache and startd my hunt.
The GPS jumped over a few locations but eventually settled at GZ.
I investigated further and had the prize in hand.
Good cameo and location.

Great camo, very clever. I just wish the other half of team bgf had even there to look dodgy with me! TFTC
Went geocaching for the first time with my friend, and chose this as my first find. Thank you very much it was really fun and I hope to do more geocaching in the future! Me and my friend took the dinosaur and the pink elephant and replaced it with two other treasures (:)) It was great fun and not too easy to find. Thank you!!!
King Sr and geoprince
What a day after joining the team picket line at work, I picked up geoprince and went to the SES depot as the storm was in full force with the pager going ballistic. With so many calls now coming in we had to prioritise our truck movements so at the depot I worked the phones getting any extra detail to help in this decision making process. Even geoprince helped out as paper moved around the comms rooms. Leaving the chaos behind Geoprince and I went to imax and almost back to SES but no - home to deal with the next P1 task dinner and maybe another cache but no.
Thanks for the cache

Signed and replaced with absolutely no interference from the school groups wandering around! I was surprised, I thought they'd make it tricky to get to this. First stop on our walk out to Fitzroy; we'll probably stop back for the other two near the gardens on the way home.
My sincere apologies to all cache owners for what I am about to do. Unfortunately, I have been unable to keep up with my logs for the past 5 months or so, meaning that it is becoming very impractical for everybody involved. Over the these last few months I have certainly found some fantastic caches showing off both the beautiful areas around the world, and the ingenious minds of cachers alike. I haven't had the greatast find rate over the past few months, but that is also due to the same reason I have fallen behind in my logs. I would like to thank all cache owners for their wonderful contribution to the caching community, and again I sincerely apologise for the generic logs.
Thanks for this cache Asteria76

Onwards and over, this was next on my list. Parking is so easy at this time of the day and having done that, I mosied on over to exactly where the O3 was telling me to go and quickly had the nicely camoed stash in hand at 06:30.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks again hafraser.

Found this one after work, a little bit wet and cloudy but nice to wander around the museum.
What a convenient place for a cache - I was going to check out when "Hidden Universe" starts playing at the Imax... Found the cache with four others - we'd just lost one of our companions. TFTC
Continuing the night time hunting with lochb, Bexta, QueenK8 and quiet1_au, this one had ut stumped, well, those who hadn't found it of course... Bexta and Lochb stood back and watched as the ones keen to find it, scanned the entire area and found nothing... I guess it didn't help that we were on the wrong side of "something" and once that as corrected, quiet1_au spotted something and moved in for extraction... Aha, great work.. That's a well placed hide too... [^]
Business done, it was tucked away and we moved on muttering all sorts of nasty things about the CO and the fact we missed it for soooo long... Stupid game we play...
Cheers Asteria76.

Almost ready for dinner, there was time for a couple more this evening for our little team of city cachers. Bextra had previously found this one so guided us past the skating muggles to GZ, but there were a few options and after searching a couple of them, the camouflaged caches was discovered thanks to a glint in my torch light and an out-of-place shape. Another nice little cache in the city - thanks
There were a few options for the location of this cache. The six of us spread out and checked them. In the end, it was found in a location I had already checked - obviously not thoroughly enough!

A day of geocaching in the Melbourne CBD was set up via the Melbourne Geocaching Facebook page. I decided to go in a little early to pick up an earth cache and a multi cache in the hope of getting five different types of cache in a day.
Having done so, I made my way to "Southern Cross - The Age of the Wave" where I met up with gunnie69, who was in town from Brisbane. He and I then walked to "Batman's Hill" where we found Bexta loitering. The three of us explored harbourside and picked up a few caches before finding LongJohnSilva hanging around "Trainspotting Too". A free tourist tram-ride to the other end of the city had us waiting for lochb and quiet1_au at "Spot Marks the X".
Our group of six could be seen striding around the streets of Melbourne on a Monday night, being not-at-all suspicious as we 'paused' at certain locations. By time we stopped for pizza and something fizzy, we well-and-truly deserved it!
We picked up a few more caches to the north before lochb told us that a new cache had been listed only 1.5km away! We walked (and ran for a bit!) to get the FTF, only to find that we were even further away from our cars, motels and public transport than we had planned By the time we made our way back into the CBD, and I got my train home, it was after midnight, and I had been going for twelve hours. Despite being exhausted I slept fitfully (still on a high from the day!), and have woken to find that my feet ache from my hips down. Still it was a great day with 24 caches across five different types, and a chance to meet five great cachers
Thanks for a great afternoon/evening out, and thanks to all the COs for your efforts!

#416 for us and the one to give us souvenir 30/31 for the 31 Days thingy.
Up in Melbourne for a meeting, I parked as usual under the museum. This cache wasn't here last time I was in this part of the world, so I was pleased ot see a new one.
Not having time to hunt on my way to the meeting, but I did slow down and have a bit of a look. As I was slowly walking off, I passed a guy who'd stopped on his bike a little further along and I heard him call. He asked if I was Geocaching and he'd noticed he Geocaching Melbourne hoodie I was wearing. Turns out he was an Ingress player who'd stopped to check out some Ingress-ish thing nearby...when I confirmed I was a cacher, he was very keen to recruit me to the game, as he said cachers made very good players. Not 100% convinced I need another distraction, but it is kinda tempting.....who knows ?
Thanks for the hide, the souvenir and possibly to yet another GPS-based addiction Asteria76 !

Decided to have a walk to the Carlton Garden and go for the 3 caches around there. This one was the last one an i liked it the most. Close to a path with a lot of people (at least that's what i imagin it to be on the day, at night there was nobody), but safe, cause of a good camo TFTC! SL
I parked nearby on paid street parking, and paid for my ticket and everything. I spent about 30 mins hunting in the various arboreal beings that the GPSr was confusingly sending me between. I PAFed Landau351 (well SMSed) to see if he'd done this one, but he hadn't. I suddenly realised that he would now know that I was parked in the street, and he would entrap me in his evil parking inspector ways....!!!!!! he'd keep me hunting forever until I'd gone over my paid time, and he'd be onto me, and would give me a Grey Ghost big money ticket. He helped me no end, pushing me to the right organism so I could make the find. And I beat him to the car so he couldn't fine me.

Found after (almost literally) a night in the museum. After the SmartBar event that the museum ran, the GeoGF and I grabbed a bite to eat then came back to grab a couple of caches. Found this one with little difficulty - a nice easy find, even in mostly-darkness. Cheers!
45.000 km around the world with stops in Dubai, Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for placing the cache at this place.
