A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today was a bit of a cruise around Feilding, weather reasonable, caches too!Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
For some reason some muggles congregated nearby when I first came past, so I sorted another and returned later when the coast was clear. TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Day #3 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend. This was our first cache of the day to start us off and a nice quick find...lets hope they are all like this one! Thanks for the cache.
And a click of the fingers it was a new day of caching and shenanigans.....one of the group suggested we head North from Palmerston North for a spot of caching, and it was a very good suggestion..... Day 3 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
1st of the day.Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Quick locate after waiting for muggle cyclist, who turned around as soon as she reached me Fun to imagine the sawmill here, and intriguing read. Cheers the Seagnoid
Decided to stop by the nearby creative cache and these were on our way there. Haven’t had a cache for a while from all of that nasty flooding/weather, nice to see its back to normal. Last cache if the day!
I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found, TFTCSL. Thanks the Seagnoid for this Traditional Thanks for helping us get one step closer to our next milestone.

Beside another ‘now no longer there’ railway line in the Wairarapa, oak trees were planted to be used as sleepers when they had grown to a certain size. As they were never used they are great places to sit under for a picnic or just to cool off under after a walk or bike ride on a hot summer’s day.
Out with Itchyfeet2020 finding 50 caches today for the DGSc challenge in the West Coast. Kia ora rawa atu for the cache the Seagnoid.

NZ_B and I are spending the day around the Fielding area with a goal to get over 50 caches in a day for a challenge. Our journey led us here. Fascinating reading thank you. Hard to imagine massive totora stands and railway sleeper mills now.
It's been an interesting day of geocaching today, complete with three 'failed to be fast enough' to be first to find, one successful first to find, four did not finds, twenty two successful finds, multiple 'can I help you's as I was searching, and a dead car battery with the rescue coming from a fellow Geocacher (it is so much easier to tell someone where you are stranded when you only have to give a GC code).
This was my ninth cache of the day. I always enjoy the information in the railway caches by this CO, and there are a lot of them, in multiple cities, and in multiple islands. One day I will find them all.
Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's placing them and taking care of them that this wonderful game continues.

First find of the day! Master Four was more fascinated by the snails on the cache. TFTC!
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Quick find. Thanks for the cache
It sometimes amazes me where railways ran. Fairly step ground too. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
Tftc. Last find for the day. That makes 10 today, pretty happy with that for a little afternoon road trip. Nice little bit of history here.
Out on a caching expedition with TharntheHalken around the Manawatu. Quick find, all good. Tftc!
A quick find after a long day caching in the region. 68 caches and no dnfs. A great day. TFTC
On our way to the Halloween Community Celebration and decided to clean up a few on the way. Quick find, all good TFTC
Heading back to the East Coast after a week of work in Whanganui. Thought I would make it a leisurely trip and collect a few smileys on the way. Enjoyed a bit of biking on some back country roads. Cache all fine. Thanks
Well that has to be the fastest I have ever done a Park & Grab, all by myself in the MIOW mobile, tftc Seagnoid
Grabbed this cache on the way home from work. I had intended to get “Behind the Barrier”, but that GZ is a bit of a mess as someone has driven their vehicle right through the barrier, moving it well Behind!
Not sure what the previous finder’s problem was. The coordinates are accurate and there could only be one place for the geocache. All good here, but for the snails.
Not logged until now due to pressure from fellow geocachers' interpretation of the Covid-19 coronavirus lock-down rules. Thanks for keeping your cache active and thanks for the cache.

This one took a little while to cross off all the no possibilities, in the end there was only 1 viable option!

The rail lines were obviously very busy here at one time - fantatsic that this series tells us all about it. Thanks for all the research the Seagnoid and of course the cache. TFTC # 14,919
Really enjoying touring the countryside on a beautiful day. Thanks for the smilie .
Up this way today enjoying the warm weather and the countryside. Found the odd cache along the way as well (as you do). TFTC
(I apologize for the late log but the date is still accurate, time got away from me)
Found today with TwigNZ while we were in the area for a CITO. TwigNZ and I had no trouble locating the cache and signing the log. Thanks for the cache.

Today I attended a CITO with my lad in Ashhurst, and I was also hoping for a chance to grab a few more caches around Ashhurst and Feilding that I hadn't previously gotten.
So now I was heading towards Feilding, and decided to take a route I didn't normally use in order to have a crack at a few caches local to Colyton. This was the fifth one we stopped at. On the face of it, it looked like it would be a straightforward park and grab, and indeed it was as it was a very similar find to a lot of this series I have found elsewhere in the Manawatu.
So I signed the log and placed everything back in the container ready for the next cacher
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

Time to head home and with our route all planned out we were going to go past another rail cache so had to stop. Thanks for all your caches we have found on this little caching trip.
I was in the area after spending a lovely weekend with family decided I needed an earthcache and some more caches to get my 60 points for the adventure thats on at present so did a detour and grabbed a cache or two down this lovely country road. Thank you for placing caches out here in this lovely rural area lots of sheep and their baby lambs in the paddocks, so cute. TFTC nice quick find here today

Road trip time! This weekend Team BOP consisted of Davidson Clan, TNXPro, Squirrelnutcase, FapAndGap, McJandals, NZFlossy & myself. We'd had this trip on the cards for a while but only recently had we locked in all the details. We were off to central Manawatu and we had a very narrow list of ‘must gets’ so this trip was essentially a numbers mission. We had a great time and managed just over 200 finds. Most of the caches were found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and straight forward placements although we replaced a lot of logs and a few containers as well. A huge thank you to the CO’s as this was a beautiful area to visit and there was certainly an abundance of geocaches!!
Team BOP on tour in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region... With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro.
This weekend had been in the pipeline for ages. It was always going to be a mission for various team members to get coordinated leave passes... We secured accommodation in the rural heart of the Manawatu. This placed us well within reach of a massive trail of caches... We travelled in one vehicle, so our journey was filled with lots of laughs, and good times... Fortunately, the majority of caches were in place and were fairly quick to locate - thanks to straightforward hints and great coordinates. Many of the caches had not been found in a while, so containers were waterlogged, and logbooks were wet... Thank goodness for waterproof paper. A huge thank you also, to the various COs who made our weekend worthwhile...

Team BOP decided that with the MEGA rapidly approaching, we need to boost our numbers so we could try for a milestone number at the Mega. I am approaching my 3000th cache but was still about 325 caches away from that. Reaching the milestone may or may not happen, but this weekend certainly was about the numbers. I had an initial target I was trying to beat and that was my highest number of caches found in one day and we comfortably beat that, achieving 158 caches (subject to confirmation, once I log them all).
The best way to do the high numbers is with power trails and out here, there is a smorgasbord of powertrails.
We loaded up the van, gathered up all seven of us and headed to our accomodation somewhere in the middle of nowhere, getting there well after dark. The location was convenient, as it was right in the thick of a power trail territory.
There was no splitting us up, as we only had one vehicle, so we all experienced the cache locations, some beautiful and some not so.
As with powertails we have done in the past, there was a high proportion of waterlogged caches, but unlike powertails we have done previously, we managed to find every cache and were glad to be able to clear out an area. Also, with powertails, comes cut and paste logs, to which I apologise for.
Thanks to all those CO's who have placed the caches out there. Without you, our fun road trips wouldnt exist. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and got home completely shattered. It was so worth it.

A nice quick find here with darthcacher1 and purply. One of 140 caches we found today.
#2912. I am heading north today to the Mega event in Turangi. So decided to go via Ashhurst and west side of the Ruahines to pick up caches in an area I haven't yet covered since starting geocaching. The day started wet in Wellington but was reasonably good in the Manawatu, just a few light showers. I pulled up nearby and spied the hiding spot immediately. Nice quick find here. Signed the dry logbook and returned the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Was in the Manawatu for work and decided that I would go and pick up a couple off caches while I was in between meetings. I decided to go out of the main hustle and bustle of the CBD and go and get a couple of drivebys caches out in the back blocks.
This was the first cache that I had on my list that I was going to do today and it was too far from Palmerston North as the crow flies and I have being pass this area quite a few time but not down as far as Colyton for quite a while.
Arriving near GZ I managed to over shot pass GZ and realised what I had done before I went too far, decided to do a U turn and managed to drive back to near GZ, actually it was within 10 metres. Decided that I wouldn't park too far off the road as the side of the road looked like it was very wet and I really didnt want to get stuck in the grass and have to call for assistance. After finding a safe park it was a quick, easy and puddle jumping walk to GZ as I was in my work clothes and shoes.
As I got to GZ I soon spot the cache next to the hint object, was glad that the logbook was double contained as the first one was very muddy and wet. Managed to retrieve the logbook without any issues, sign and returned back as found. Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (10954)

Road trip 2 weeks in a row.... Left hawkes bay at 5am. First cache for the day at 7.10am. Thanks for giving us so many caches to find.
It seems like a long time has passed since I last found a Manawatu Rail cache. My objective for today was to find a good number of puzzle caches but I decide to look for the odd traditional as I traveled around. This one was easily found and was in very good condition.
Picking up some rural caches today and ended up over near Feilding. Weather has warmed up, sun is out - great. A quick find - TNLNSL. Fascinating history again the Seagnoid. Thanks for the series and the placement.
Quick find this morning enroute to the short multi at Colyton Hall.
Thanks for the cache and I was impressed with the waterproofing measures!
