In an obvious place. Not as exciting as first thought.

13-Aug-15
I had made a quick find around the corner so when I saw another green dot on the map so close by, I thought "Why not?"
The stroll to GZ was pleasant enough and a likely hide was identified easily.
I moved some camouflage and grabbed for the cache that was in sight.
As I grabbed the cache I detected something foreign and un-cache-like. Upon closer inspection I realised the cache was being fiercely guarded by a protector.
I dropped the cache to the ground but it clung on. I poked the cache several times with a stick hoping that would be enough to convince it to let go but to no avail. I used the stick to try to lever him off the cache but he got very defensive and reared its front legs and then pounced on me! I just up and down squealing and flicked my leg and somehow he disappeared.
I did manage to sign and replace the cache as found (without the guardian) but I'm not sure where he went. I really hope he isn't in my handbag. :-0

24-May-15
Strolling past with miss Rogainer #2 after performing maintenance on 'The Seventh hill' nearby.
Found the new pill bottle and signed the log within.

Thanks to all

Tough mother Monday. Out fot a wet stroll. Wink tftc.

18-May-15
Found with mnance, remsjw, misssusan and jemillalucy today. Well we're not sure if we found the right cache but we did find a pill bottle with a log inside that we signed. Tftc

18-May-15
A quick and easy find today whilst out with the tough mothers.

18-May-15
Out caching with Remsjw, Lisylou, Misssusan and Jemillalucy. Quickly found by Lisylou. TFTC!

18-May-15
18MAY2015 actually - I received a note to the effect that what I found (with the Tough Mothers group) was in fact a replacement container. From previous logs, the original might have been mugglised.

18-May-15
After searching for some considerable time and also after rereading quite a few recent logs it would appear the cache is no longer around. I have replaced as a "temporary" measure with a camo pill bottle so that there is at least something to find. It seems that the cache owner has had no activity on Geocaching.com for well over 2 years, so it may be prudent for someone who lives closely to take over this cache.

18-May-15
Tough Mothers took a bit of a break to get this one.

13-May-15
Claiming a find after replacing the cache with a camo pill bottle in a likely hide. After reading back over some recent logs it would seem that this cache has been muggled or put out of action by nature. If the CO disagrees with my log please feel free to cancel the found log, however I did this only so as those that follow will have a cache to find.

10-May-15
Had a good look but no clue. A lot of water would have been running through here in recent storms so wondering if it's gone astray.

02-Jan-15
Found this cache a week ago with Genyo. We managed to nap a few caches along with his one before a storm. We searched for a while before we found the cache lying on the ground. Repositioned as close to what we think its position would be. TFTC!

Another hot and sunny Saturday...time to geocaching. Big Grin
So I parked the car and started walking 'the circuit'. Big Grin
Earlier today at another cache I said, "GM62, your caches are getting easier", I so think I am about to eat those words now. SurprisedRazz
Around and around and around, looking, looking, looking, looking. Sad
Sat down and read loads of logs, not much help there Twisted
More, looking, looking...Oh and somewhere about now *insert swearing* Razz
After about 20 minutes I found it. Cool
NOICE. Cool A fav point Mr GM62. Razz
Thanks for the cache.

29-Nov-13
A nice roll mostly down hill to this one. Took the hard way to GZ - that trail's not on my map Wink

This one took a while. We had a bit of a hunt around. Once again lots of places you could hide a cache. At some point we even mentioned what we were actually looking for and still did not find it. Found lots more places you could hide a cache. You just have to be in the right spot and looking the roght direction.

I was in the right spot for IolantheK to be looking in the right direction Smile Another geckomaster special.

29-Nov-13
Out with teamdfl for a mini Freaky Friday Wink Following the tracks around, then we expected a bit of a bush bash but look, here's a track that's not on the GPS's, and it took us right to GZ [^] But this find did not come easy Twisted So many possible hiding spots!!!! We searched all over and had lots of discussion, but still no cache. Previous logs gave us an idea that changed our searching, but the cache was still not turning up [:(!] We were about done and getting ready to move on, when I just happened to look over teamdfl's shoulder and saw the one little thing that was odd. Gotcha!!!! Very satisfying indeed. A favourite point from me. TFTC, geckomaster62.

23-Oct-13
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:07pm. We found the log book outside the cache but found the cache soon after. Maybe it needs the CO looking at it. TFTC

Out with Aussie Liahona, KarenHippo and Bristracker grabbing a few caches after the Dawn Event.
Spotted something a little different and a cache was had.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks geckomaster62 Cool All good with this cache

23-Sep-13
Well this took a while, even with 4 of us searching. When we eventually found it we could see why it has received so many favourite points. It really is something special. Reminds me of PigWig caches with its clever construction and camo. Loving our string of geckomaster caches this morning.

23-Sep-13
Out caching with Aussie Liahona, Bristracker and Team Benders after event this morning. This took a little bit of searching but Team Benders spied it. Awesome hide!!! TFTC

23-Sep-13
Can't resist adding this cache to our favourites. After arriving in Brisbane just gone 5am today for the Spring Soltice Event this morning we were fired up and excited to get out and do some geocaching before returning home. Karenhippo, Bristracker, Team Benders, and myself, set out. We wandered a little here and there near GZ, as it appears so have others, but before long Team Benders sharp eyes caught something and before long we were signing the log. Very good camo here geckomaster62. The cache was in excellent condition. [^][^]

Leaving work a little earlier as I was to pick up my son not far from here. I needed cache for the day. I have this habit of selecting geckomaster62 caches. I don't know why I do this too myself!

I want to leave this one alone but it was hanging on my mind while I was looking for it. I cannot believe my luck! I managed to find this one! the construction on this one is Fantastic! A Favourite point for me!

My only issue I had with this cache was trying to retrieve it between all the joggers in the path and all the funny looks as they go passed!

GREAT JOB !!!!

This was the 21th day in the 31 Days of Geocaching.

17-Aug-13
After the International Geocaching Day event, I took a drive to clean up a few caches that have appeared on my map over in Geckoland and surrounds. This was the last cache of the day and after a nearby DNF, I was not feeling confident.

Once at GZ, I gave the usual bush hides the once over. I was pretty certain that this recent gecko instalment would not be your typical systema in a tree stump, but for peace of mind, I still had to look.

Having done that, I set about observing what didn't belong. No luck. Sometimes, when looking for a needle, it is useful to take a look at the haystack. So, I stood back on the path and scanned the surrounds.

I couldn't even tell you what it was that caught my eye about this item. A close inspection revealed a well constructed cache with very realistic camo, only just perceptibly different to the surrounds.

Nice work GM62. A favorite from me. Thanks for the cache.

A beautiful day in Brisbane brought about the chance for a quick spot of caching.

I managed to find a convenient parking spot then headed off along the track to GZ. Almost at once my eye was caught by something which didn't quite blend in with its neighbours. Surely not? Oh yes!

This one earns a well deserved favourite point from me.

TFTC.

I had missed out on going to the event so I had to wing this one by myself.

Knowing that it was a GM62 cache I knew that i would likely be here for a while. I was not disappointed. However, after 20 minutes of looking high and low I gave in and called the CO.

He dropped me a couple of small hints and I went back to the search. Finally, after another 10 minutes I spotted something a bit different to the rest and managed to extract a log from it.

A great bit of camo Mr Geckomaster. I will have to remember this one. It sets a fav from me.

23-Jun-13
Not being one to underestimate the craft of GM62, I stood on the path and surveyed the area. No doubt the area had been well covered by the first expedition but what was I looking for. A read of the logs gave me some idea what I wasn't looking for and where I wouldn't find it.

So off I set to look - high, higher and highest. Over here and over there - but nothing was revealed. The circle got wider as the gpsr changed its mind as to where i should look.

Eventually I stood back and surveyed the whole area and noticed a feature that led me to a spot which upon a very close inspection revealed a very nice piece of cache artistry. Very nice indeed.

The log was extracted, signed and returned and off I trotted - happy.

Sorry Geoff I did not get to you sooner.I checked today, and all is in place. Elliott assures me that the co ords are good, when the FTF party found it.

01-Jun-13
One should always log a DNF when you don't find a cache. I hunted about for about 20 minutes - until I realised I was just weirding people walking past. I called Mr Geckomaster for a hint, but he was otherwise pre-disposed.

But Mr Geckomaster did call back - and it turned out I was oh so close. I shall return again. TFTH - and the phone call back, Geckomaster Smile

I never ever considered I would be able to say this about a GM62 cache *FTF* shared with a small group on a day out for lunch in the bush.

This one is up to the usual standard for GM62 and will have many people scratching their heads Smile

Joint ***FTF*** at Ms Maddy's 1000th cache find bush party with Ms Maddy, Perusal, Goldielover, OrionJ, HNRooster, Whird, DanSync, tdimdad and Stairman1. Big Grin

So many good logs have told this encounter that there is little to be added.

Dansyn and Dr THR arrived a little late to Ms Maddy's bush party. Upon arrival we noticed a few people were discussing a new set of co-ordinates. We are always up to looking for a new cache. Big Grin With OrionJ in the lead we followed suit -- down the trail, through the bush and up the hill to GZ. Why we didn't just follow the path is beyond me. We then split up and started searching like chickens scattered looking for feed. Not there, not there, not there. I can't believe it took so long for a bunch of expert cachers to find this one. That said it was a really, really well crafted and disguised cache. A great gift for Ms Maddy's 1000th cache find.

TFTC GM62. Congratulations on your 1000th find Ms Maddy and OrionJ. This cache is definitely worth a favourite point.

Joint FTF while at an event. Very sneaky hide. A typical GM62 hide. Well done Smile.

26-May-13
Was at a little party in the bush yesterday to celebrate the milestone of 1000 finds for Ms Maddy. When GM62 started being a little quite going through something on his phone.

Next thing a piece of paper with coords are being passed around and away the group headed off. I was close to the lead with tdimdad. With Ms Maddy, HNRooster, perusal, ruzzelz, The Hunting Rabbit, stairman1, Goldielover, not far behind.

As it turns out the walk was a good little distance away (not like GM62 to give us an easy one). Arriving at GZ the hunt was on. Once everyone worked out where their device was giving them GZ. As the hunt is going on there was some heckling from GM62 Jnr at just how many of us had looked straight at it or been ever so close to it.

Finally we find ruzzelz standing alongside GM62 Jnr, with a happy look on his face, commenting just how far he was from the hide which he had found and managed to sneak himself back to the path without letting on. Taking his hints, I was next to spot this tricky little hide, and joined the onlooking duo on the path.

Even still the find was still not made for a little while by the others while Goldie Lover stood right underneath it for a couple of minutes, before moving off. Eventually the penny dropped and a further inspection by another one of the group managed to find the hide and then it was onto the group signing of the log.

This little Group FTF was a good highlight in the party and just a bit of fun for all involved.

TFTC GM62 and yet another tricky hide to say the least.

26-May-13
The first finders quietly found and then stood on the path not giving anything away.
I think that I was 4th to find it and unfortunately an "ah ah" escaped my lips and that brought the others running.
This was very well hidden.
Thanks for the fun geckomaster62 and to Ms Maddy for having the party.

26-May-13
Joint formal bush party *FTF* with Ruzzelz (absolute and seriously happy FTF), Perusal, Goldielover, OrionJ, HNRooster (in full length gown), The Hunting Rabbit, Whird, DanSync, tdimdad and Stairman1.

Oh! And Zack the geodog Razz

Geckomaster62 stayed back with the party food and ice bucket in the company of Mr and Mrs Guddink and they were soon joined by Teamtinda.

What a wonderful surprise in the middle of my 1000th geocache celebrations! But it's a GM62 cache so we were given the coords (as the cache wasn't published on time as expected) and headed off up and down the dirt tracks for a fair distance (around 500m). Happily I had purple Dunlops on and had left my black heels hanging on a post back at the party location!

Around GZ, I managed to step in something 'fruity' as did stairman1... Yikes! Must have been that pair of sneaky beagles walking past.

Master Gm62 heckled from the track and after some prodding, started to leak teeny weeny clues. He's a hard nut to crack, I can tell you Wink Well trained in the art of vagueness.

Then Ruzzelz went from whining about not being able to find GM62 caches, to standing next to Junior GM62 with a huge grin on his face. Then another one joined them, Dansync I think, next was OrionJ and then Perusal squealed and we were all at GZ in a flash!

A very tricky hide, and another example of fine workmanship Smile Junior said we'd all stared at it, and a couple had touched the cache, before it was found. We were a bit slow though... must have been the pastries and champers, eh? Dulled the caching goggles, he he.

A nice touch, thank you so much for being there today to celebrate with me and also OrionJ's fastest 1000 in Australia, helping to set up... Junior GM62 found his calling at decorating trees with colored streamers, cooking (yummy!) and for setting up a cache for us all to search for Big Grin

TFTC, you rock Geckomaster62!

A FAVE point from Ms Bling! Bling! Maddy!

26-May-13
Had the pleasure to be part of the first expedition group to this hide.
In the nearby Ms Maddy's 1000 finds milestone party, the CO suddenly produced previously unseen coordinates, which caused buzz and excitement amongst the party-goers. The CO also graciously offered to stay behind to guard the delicacies and drinks. Tough call - to trust all those super-yummy pastries and tarts with him without supervision, or not??? Let alone the super-duper-yummy liquorice all sorts.

Soon after the group was in its way, lead by OrionJ. The last leg meant bush bashing, only so that we can realise the civil people could use a path to arrive to the GZ.
We were accompanied by the CO's son. He had insider knowledge on what we're looking for, but even the medieval inquisition would have been frustrated with the amount of information that can be extracted from him in these circumstances. So, no other choice than search.

The whole group searched through all the trees, through all of the undergrowth, through the path, we even managed to put the bridge back quite nicely...
After 15 or so minutes of intense effort, OrionJ and russelz suddenly retreated to the path with a big grin on his face. They were gradually joined by a few others, laughing at the rest of us who were completely lost.
Suddenly an 'Uhhuh' from behind, and the search was called to a halt: the hide was revealed to all.

Log was duly passed around, and a happy tourist snap taken near the GZ, and it was time to move the party back towards where the food was...

Oh yes, another typical GM62 hide. Be prepared to come back after one, two, or even more wasted trips. This one will require a keen eye, indeed.
You also will sure be delighted of the find: both for the clever container, and the stop to a possibly lengthy search.

I was pleased to find myself in very friendly company in Seven Hills on Sunday afternoon! Discovering that the ever-smiling Geckomaster had put out a new cache was an added bonus. I arrived a little late so the hunting party had already left but I was quite satisfied just to pull up a chair, open a beer and chat to the guddinks, Whird and GM Sr.
I left my run for later in the afternoon and made a solo raid (staying on the path: lol!). I decided to rely on the iPhone which duly sent me round and round, but as usual it got its act together eventually and I found myself in a new spot which I had previously ignored.
The cache made me laugh aloud because I have been expecting to find one like this for quite a while, but have never seen it brought to life... before now. This is an absolute classic... I love, love, love it!
Congratulations to Ms Maddy on your 1000 (hope there are many more); Orion J on your very speedy 1000 and GM62 on your wonderful addition to this parkland!
