#3828 (2 of 3 today)

Another day where I need a find to meet my goal of 5 fids per calendar day by the end of 2017 (ie one per year in which I'll have cached).
Only need one today, but as I was going to the Waratah's game tonight (don't ask) I decided to try to finish off the preliminary caches in this series first.

Went for three and got them all. Unfortunately one didn't have the clue required for the series final.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Walked from my last find to arrive at another deserted little park.
For the second time it was a quick find in a logical spot - well, the easiest logical spot, I'd say.

Went to the seat and completed signing duties and grabbed the clue.
Then replaced and off back to *The Hademobile*.

Well, it took a little while and the neighbour and his dog were on the other side doing stuff. The picture I attached pretty much proves that Lew2034 didn't find it. I think someone needs a lesson in the true spirit of geocaching. TFTC btw and for the series.

Having DNF'd a cache at La Perouse, we needed one on our way home to keep the streak up. Drove in to Nilson Avenue, bud had to park a bit up the street due to many other cars being parked there. Walked down to the park, which luckily was totally empty. Approaching the suspected GZ we were made aware that we were very much un-welcome by two dogs at nearby properties. They kept barking all the time while we were extracting the cache, signing the log and replacing it and also long after we had left the park heading back to the car.

Up from down south to drop the geofamily off at the airport as they jet off to Perth for a week. I'll miss them... Wait well that means more geocaching after they have left. So a good few hours in Sydney caching was an afternoon well spent. Such a busy place unfortunately. Thanks to all the cache owners that had caches I visited today. Tftc tnln.

Those dogs don't miss a beat. TFTC.

06 September 2016 06:10:05 OK I hate cut and paste logs so will try my best to add a little something different to each log I post. Code 1 and myself were out on our annual caching run weekend. So some of our logs read both names but to save room on micros and nano’s etc we used CJ1. Like most of our past trips a little homework was needed to work out a suitable location, route and to build lists and PQs, with this done and set we found our self’s in the Camden location. A great range of finds and styles were located with a great deal of questioning over some of the posted difficulties and terrains.

Tried to knock this little series off but some were missing or we couldn't find them.
Saved the info of the 4 we did find so might try again next time we're in the area.
Be even nicer in this park if the dog next door stopped it's continual barking....

Out and about walking the dog I am house sitting again. Big Grin
A lovely day today as well, no wind. Smile
A quick find here as I set off the 'Dogs'. Razz
As I was leaving a neighbour that has seen quite a few people enter the park and leave again asked me what was going on as kids do not play here. So i told her about geocaching and that there was a geocache here. Big Grin Oh, OK, as long as it is noting suspicious. Razz And she headed home. [^]
Grabbed the clue.
Thanks for the cache.

After reading previous logs about dogs, I arrived at the park and all was vacant and quiet. Good. Opened the gate and when it closed there was a slight 'click' - just enough of a sound to set the dogs off. The main dog has a big loud bark. I went and sat down on a seat while the gps settled. The dog stopped momentarily, but every time I went to stand up and it heard a leaf move, it was off again. Then its owner arrived home and kept telling it to be quiet. Undeterred, I moved over towards the cache location, which of course set that dog going mad with barking, which in turn started the smaller dog next door barking as well. I was chuckling to myself the whole time. Luckily after reading the clue the cache was an easy find, so I quickly signed it and left, still laughing to myself about the experience. How do the neighbours survive? I assume that the dogs mean that no kids ever visit the park, which is just as well, as it would then be difficult to get the cache Wink

Out caching with Cryptic8 to continue my streak. We drove around checking out this Hillsdale series. This is a part of Sydney I hadn't been to for many years. Thanks for bringing me here again gullightly. We enjoyed the drive and visiting the little reserves.

After a DNF nearby, this was #1 in this series for us. Found quickly once the clues and compass became clear. Similar cache to another one we found earlier in the day. That barking dog is very annoying, then another one started. But well hidden amongst the trees. Park was free of muggles today. Sat down and signed log, though we weren't too sure which piece to write on! Back in place then on our way.

13-Feb-16
After reading a few of the previous logs, I was a little concerned about the barking dog. However, the little park was closed in and there was no-one around so it was a quick find. (With the dog barking in the background!) TFTC

beware of all the poo, two of our three man team suffered

12-Nov-15
Well the neighbours must love the dogs here. As soon as we popped the gate entrance to the park they started barking continuously till we did a quick find and sign. TFTC

03-Nov-15
Going to pass on this one, and hope I can figure it out with the rest of the clues. Insane dog barking, stirring up the neighbors, mosquitos eating me alive while I creeped thru the trees.

Great find

Out at the Eastern Suburbs today with the grand kids helping out looking for caches. This is my second go at this cache as I didnt enter the park because of the barking dog and neighbors looking on last time. Fortunately the grand kids played on the equipment which gave me some confidence to wander around looking. Of course we were "serenaded" by the dog all the while. TNLN, SL. As reported previously the log is still damp but it is still possible write on it. Unfortunately I didn't collect the clues from the other caches for the final one. TFTC gullightly.

TFTC,
3rd for the day. We had CIH before the dog started barking and moved across the park to sign the log. Forgot to collect the clue for the Bonus and hope the CO sends it to us.
Trying to get to 3000 before we go away next month. I finished all the caches in the Macarthur Panther series over 12 months ago and wish to make GC4G0Y4 the big one. Today I have reduced my remaining count from 27 to 12 by traveling to the Eastern Suburbs.
Visited a group of trackables.

23-Aug-15
Another quick find while geocaching in the area, except for THAT dog barking, thanks to gullightly

15-Aug-15
Park very messy with dog poo

10-Jul-15
Unfortunately the previous logs about the barking dogs and the fact that the park is a doggy toilet were correct. I tiptoed through but when the barking started, I just gave up.

07-Jul-15
I am going to log this as a note because the neighboring dog was barking loudly and I was getting suss looks from the neighbors so I didn't even enter the park and attempt to look. Aries44.

The third of four in Hillsdale this evening. Checking out the map, there were two obvious ones to grab and reading their listings, it looked like they would be fairly easy to find. After a bit of a drive from the previous cache, we arrived near GZ. I jumped out and headed toward GZ. There were a few dogs barking, which made me wonder if anyone was watching. I spotted a way to GZ and found the cache shortly after. There was quite a bit of rubbish around GZ but I didn't have a bag to do CITO. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC gullightly!

This is a disgusting dog toilet, I refused to let my kids in the gate, please move this one!

30-Jun-15
I've NEVER seen a park so filled with dog poo-its almost impossible not to step in it. And the barking dog just added to the unpleasantness-we didn't hang around.

30-Jun-15
The rest of this series has been nice, thanks for the effort, but this is the most filthy and disgusting playground ever, thanks to some selfish dog owner. With Miz Wacket & Count Jacula, we didn't stay long.

With the bike around this area. So we made the series Hillsdale. It was not so good to look around the playground area. So we can´t look at some locations. Here we can find the cache really good. Thank you.

Visited with Felix the spy and liampj. Started to rain just before we got there, so we had to huddle under a tree to sign the logbook. Thanks!

With the GPS dying at the previous cache it was lucky I'd done my homework before I left home as I've never been in this area before.
That led me to the right park and a quick look around resulted in a find.

Reperio at 1215 in the company of Grub Fred.

We left Newcastle nice and early this morning for a day of caching in and around Sydney, and we decided to try and complete this series. We arrived at GZ just as we thought a muggle was heading there with his daughter...but they walked on by...and we soon had the cache in hand.

Felt uneasy snooping around the trees with home on the other side of the fence. Thankfully due to the light drizzle there was no one around except a few interesting looking spiders. Not my best caches but TFTC anyway.

This was the first cache we found in this series. It took too long to find, but was quite obvious in the end - just the coordinates were a little out.

Thanks Gullightly for the info on Hillsdale - it's always nice to learn something new about this city we all share. This was the first cache we attempted in the series. Playgrounds are definately not our favorite places to go Geocaching in and we always hope Mrs Ozjeepers presence is enough to allay concerns of others in the vicinity. We had the whole area to ourselves and made a quick find.

26-Dec-13
Up from Canberra visiting the family, so that meant it was time for the geobro, Goldfinger777 and I to get out and about on an afternoon geomission Big Grin

Stopped by this cute little park during our geomission around the area. Luckily for us it was muggle free!. We searched here and there, up and down before GF777 approached from the right angle to spy the cache and make the nab [^].

Thanks for yet another in the series, gullightly Smile
