9335 + 1058 = 10393. Knocked off a few tree climbs with LuckyL10n after the event today !!
Hearing that these ones may soon be archived I thought it was about time that LuckyL10n and I put in play our plan to grab these ones. After VII we continued on to this one. This one was a tad easier as once again the cache container was located on the ground. Signed, returned up high once again, and we headed off in different directions until this afternoon's event.
Thanks again VikingOlly !! Enjoy the US of A !

I am happy for a cacher to replace the container ( a one litre fruit bin) if you wish. I am not present in ACT now.
Found 8:42 pm with LuckyL10n. We arrived at this cache after doing another nearby. We were prepared to assist each other up the tree to get this cache but as we searched the heights of the tree we couldn't find it. Again another look around and still no cache. Then LuckyL10n out of curiosity probably a bit of frustration started to look around on the ground and then spotted the illusive cache container. Not quite where it was supposed to be. We signed the log which was a little damp but still good and replaced the cache where we thought it could hang. Still could be tricky to get to it so think before you climb. Thanks for the cache.
#3059 - 20:40; Out and about with MrDamage for the nightly daily as he closes in on the magic 366 day streak. We had picked up another cache nearby, so popped over to have a look for this one to see whether we would give it a go. We wandered aimlessly for a while unable to see anything cachelike as we looked to the heavens for inspiration. Decided to unleash the geosenses and set my sights a bit lower when I spotted the cache lying on the ground. Managed to sign the damp log and then replaced the cache in a spot more in line with the terrain rating. TFTC VikingOlly
Found it, but, alas, its not waterproof enough to keep the recent rain out, and the contents are quite waterlogged. I drained it, but it needs a little more sun to dry properly

Found this one other day. A fellow cacher caught me looking for this one. Lucky she did as my phone had led me to the wrong place. Tricky one that becomes easier with a little lateral thinking. TFTC
It was time for geoteen give the L plates a work out so she got to taxi Mum about. We parked near this one and spotted someone wandering around in circles looking at his phone. She told me to make friends with the geocacher. I approached from behind to see ImLost having a running start to get up a near-by tree. After comparing notes, spotting the cache and a bit of collaboration the container was retrieved and replaced without either of us getting vertigo. TFTC.
Tricky....! Sent geojunior up first......but she definitely needed a hand and lots of encouragement to get back down to earth. TFTC! Left miniplane.
It was probably a bit silly to do this one whilst feeling quite sick but I thought I should have a go anyway. I arrived at GZ with dad in tow. Almost didn't need the help but I was wearing slip ons and couldn't get any grip. Once up, the cache was retrieved quickly. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC VikingOlly!
Log book is wet. Chin ups on the pergola at home are helping me with the kids stuff! Had an early start to play golf today and the flaming cats woke me before dawn; so instead of going to sleep I thought this would be a perfect time to get a few caches in high muggle areas or where the Geokids probably wouldn't go or not easy to get to. Thanks for a good spot and find.
Found with O319 on a pleasant afternoon caching trip for his 50th birthday. Turning 50 doesn't seem that bad if you can still do that!!
Found with Debandian on a pleasant afternoon caching trip for my 50th birthday. There was a certain degree of pleasure in doing this one, 50 year old can still climb trees.
Found it by chance - it had fallen from the tree and moved quite a way. We put it back in what we think is the right tree, high enough to make it a challenge!
spontaneous decision to get this one made it a difficult climb with inappropriate attire, but was still fun!
Found with Renwallz. It was my turn to do the climbing. Up I went without assistance. I'm getting better at this, after a year of practice. I dropped the cache to Renwallz, who signed the log with my name and his, and tossed the cache back up to me. Great team effort! 2nd VikingOlly cache of the arvo. Tks!
Found with tripperOutThere. I was impressed watching ToT climb the tree, it's not an easy start but he made it up there without a fuss. Tree climbs are always fun, thanks for making them!
Found whilst filling in time on Saturday afternoon while waiting for my daughters who were doing other activities in the area. Sighted the container no problem, but getting to it was a challenge. With some persistence I eventually had the container in hand. TFTC.
Found on a market outing with my son who is not so keen on caching but loves a tree climb! Thanks...
In love this series!!! TFTC
that one was a lot more challenging than I was expecting.

Another one of theses! Lucky I had Captain Tomato with me today. These ones are rather hard and all those rocks nearby. Pity they would of been a good hiding spot themselves. TFTC
Lovely location near our home. Good to see our little park is now part of the geocaching world.
Funny watching the attempts to retrieve this one, we finally got in the end with extra tall wasptor doing the honours, TFTC!
Gumby Maca and I joined Wasptor, Fraggle-Rock and their geokids for a tree climb. After an attempt by Gumby Maca, Wasptor retrieved the cache within a few strides. TFTC.
2013: 285 Days In A Row - I'm a seasoned veteran at fetching caches out of trees (being tall helps), and I was so busy climbing I nearly went past the cache. A great little spot. TFTC!
Out for a spot of caching this morning with Wasptor, Fraggle-Rock, their geo-kiddies and Binni, and yep - this one was a challenge! I clambered half way up and realised I left something I deeply loved below... the ground! Wasptor couldn't wait to clamber up there, and pretty much bounded over me to scale the quarry - 3 or 4 large leaps and the cache was ours Thanks VikingOlly
Sunday 29 September 2013 - glorious warm sunny spring afternoon. Tough climb but got there in the end. Thx p2p. TFTC.
Found at 1535 - I've had this one in my sights for a while, but what with it being dark, or wet, or being tired, or not being correctly attired, it's been on hold. No excuses today, though timing the run to coincide with school getting out could have been my downfall.
No worries in that regard - the playground and park were abandoned when I arrived, so after spotting the container I made the vertical scramble with minimal effort then found a perch to sign the log from (TNLN). Most of the branches were thinner than I'm usually comfortable with, so a bit of careful weight distribution was employed during the ascent & descent to ensure both the tree and I emerged from our encounter unscathed.
Once grounded I headed back to the car - and just in time as the first mini-Muggle crossed the park heading straight for the patch I had so recently departed. Thanks for the cache VikingOlly.

Had 'found' this one before, but wasnt able to retrieve it, this time was a success.. TFTC
A real team effort on this one and I don't mind admiting I took on the dangerous task of coordinating the two flashlights in my hands and trying not to shine them in anyone's eye or eyes (or other parts, eh Peter?). There was much laughter and debate as to did we replace container exactly as to where we found it? Because there were a few times we found it on the ground.
Tomfoolery my father would call this - line up a bunch of friends and head out in the dark to do silly things, and stand around and giggle. Thanks VikingOlly.
(Boy are there some falsehoods going on here though - a lot more names logged on line than those who have actually signed in the log).

Thanks for the tips guys - I will re-vist my cache soon and note all who have signed the log. All non-signees will be removed from this online record.
7145. [green]Well that was a lot of fun so thanks for the invite Mrs W.. Rube Goldberg should have been suitable impressed to see the contraptions we cobbled together. After that we decided to try for the cache. Not sure why AB was illuminating my derriere as we all know that's where the sun shines from. [/green]
[blue]Thanks for the cache VikingOlly and the Ned. [/blue]

Gee....some porkies going on with this one......
Found in a group assault with McPhan, Winglen, and Agent Basil. We discussed a few ways of retrieving the cache and although one or two were a bit radical, we employed the best means and soon had the cache in hand. Took a bit longer to get backup there, but all was good and the signed log and cache were back in place.

These tree climbing ones always seem soooooo much more difficult in the dark!. The tree looked like a little twig and cache seemed soooooo high. Mr Stormcatcher put his hand up to do the work so it was up into the heavens. Have to admit I was a little nervous but it wasn't too difficult in the end, coming down was a lot easer. Thanks again VikingOlly for another spine tingling cache.
This was a much ore challenging tree climb than the one I did yesterday. I must admit to wondering if I could manage it, but I had to give it a go. I could just reach it from the spot I chose to stop at and was very careful not to drop anything. A tough get but fun when it is all over. No car problems here ! Thanks.

easy to spot and after a VERY short discussion decided this was a job for mr Crump. tftc
DogBoyOz took care of the GPS and the navigation while I did the climbing and signing. I like these containers better than the fruit tins.
We decided to engage some primate assistance in retrieving this for us. TFTC VikingOlly
Spotted easy enough and a quick discussion saw me legging it up the tree.
Not as hard as some of your other VO!
Not as hard as some of your other VO!
On the way home from a couple of VO FTFs, I decided check if there were any on the way home. What do you know - another VO cache! So decided to try this one! Not has hard as it looked, signed log and returned. Thanks VO
TNLNSLTFTC. Yawn. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC4AQ3A ?????
2135. I noticed that this one hadn't been claimed on my way home from work, so thought I would just do a recce to see what "aids" may be required. |I arrived at GZish and began my search. Arhh, flat battery in the torch, so back to the car for another torch. Back at GZish with iPhone in one hand, Oregon in the other and a torch somewhere in between, I searched some more. I guess because of the cloud cover, neither of the devices would settle. Eventually the hide was spotted. Now I asked myself "what aid/s I should return with ?" It was dark and everything was very wet from all the rain during the day. So aided with only the iPhone and a pen, up I went. Probably a bit silly, but I find it hard to decline a good challenge. I think the hardest bit was holding the iPhone for the light and signing the blank log and hanging on all at the same time. All good in the end and a *FTF* at 1757 hrs.
Thanks VO for another challenge.
