Logs
**THIS LOG IS A FEW DAYS LATE**Upon arrival at GZ, found the cache washed down from its hiding position in a hole that was eroded by rain and natural elements. The cache container is no longer waterproof and the (original) container is completely destroyed. The current container is in one piece but full of water and logbook is unable to be signed. Can the CO or someone please perform maintenance? It might be a good idea to place a new container here in the tree or on the pole as the containers that are here currently keep getting moved/damaged.MaxI125
Decided to try this cache whilst passing the dam. Found container washed away in the washed out ground holes . Contents are soaked and cache full of green water. Needs maintenance. Logbook is unable to be signed due to how wet it is but once dried it should be ok to use as it is in one piece. Photo for evidence. TFTC, cache replaced but moved from the washed out hole . It is near a small stem of a tree/bush at GZ.MaxI125
Stopped in here after completing a couple of Woronora Dam caches nearby. At first was misled by the broken cache container like previous finders but then found the real one. While the log was very wet, the write-in-rain properties are holding good. We dried things out as much as we could before completing the necessaries!
Found the old smashed cache then Geofriend said I can see another container. CIH
Although we couldn't read the description this one was an easy find. Beware the fast road, there is a good and safe spot to park to the north on the side road.
Seems the original container is still there and not in a good way, but there's a secondary container which is in good shape which contains the logs. Log is a little wet, but definitely usable.

Found with geodad, it was easy to find, but close to the road.

After a quick dash across the road, I quickly signed the log and placed it back. Thank you
We added a small pill jar with waterproof paper. However, we left the old container and logsheet there. TFTC

Decided to head south this afternoon for today's finds. Thought I'd go for the three hides around Garrawarra Centre / Hospital. And one or two more en route...
Ended up getting all of the five I attempted.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Quick and easy find. Plenty of parking off the highway as the dam is still not open - sign mentioned the bushfire risk... Really? After all this rain? Hmmm.
The container is well and truly broken, and the log is still signable only because the whole container was in a ziplock bag.
Still a touch damp, though.
Signed, replaced and time to head home.

While over from Tassie to attend the Gong OzGeo Muster 2019 myself and Goose of GooseandEgg we managed to polish off few series and grab some other random caches in our five days on the big island.
We flew out on Thursday night and arrived back in the apple isle late on Tuesday night, thanks for all the caches.
We normally try and get some old caches or D/T's we are missing but this time it was more about a couple of series and catching up with a few fellow cachers.

Im in the area over the June long weekend attending a scout camp at the nearby Camp Coutts and snuck out to grab a cache.
I had intended to go and grab the High Point cache today but was a bit disappointed to find that the road to the dam has been closed for the next couple of months for work to go on.
I had found this one a while back and logged it as a dnf so its good to turn it to a yellow smile.
Thanks.

A little worse for wear. Where ARE those Germans, when you need 'em for cache maintenance?

16,004. Found during a GCA run down the coast with minniek.
While concentrating on one type of cache today we had time for a few GCs. On a previous trip I had found AUS-001 and AUS-004 so it made sense to try for AUS-002 and AUS-003 today. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks The Arkaroo + RockSandra !!

28/3/17. 1:23 PM. Cache #4899.
7th of 10 finds today (& 3 DNFs) - Maddens Plains, Darkes Forest, Helensburgh, Woronora Dam, South Turramurra.
Heading home from "Postman Rat", I decided to target this "Blaumilchkanal AUS-" series along the way (travelling north, this meant 004, 001, 002 then 003).
Another fairly easy park & grab, with a short hill climb involved; the find was then easy. And that was going to be it for the day. Time to head home, an hour away, for a late lunch.
And then the new cache emails pop up. And there's a series of five within 3km of home! I coordinated a visit with some fellow FTF hounds and hoped to get there first, with them. So, "Scout Trail - Mowgli" was my next find. TFTC.

The Arkaroo I found your cache Blaumilchkanal AUS-003 on 3/1/17, 11:54 am. This is my find #1818 and find #7 today. Another quick park and grab. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
I parked in the left turn lane and made a quick find. This was only possible because of the almost non-existent traffic.

Was travelling along the old Princes Highway and saw that there was a cache at the junction nearby. I can't understand any of that German but fortunately I could understand the English hint. As it turned out I pulled up in the car right beside the correct one, and a quick scramble and a look revealed the cache. Signed the log and replaced it in the same spot. Found with SR. TFTC
The coords were way out and had me still on the road, but a quick read of the hint made it an easy find

Quick stop after the event at the dam. No traffic today made it a muggle free find.
Did this one at night searched all around the area before double checking some details and the find was made. The cache was laying on the ground which looked out of place, did my best to cover up the cache, log was a little damp as well.
Found on a beautiful day out house-hunting in Wollongong. Another in the series but I did this one first today. Good use of similar caches in the series, makes me smile to pick them up. Tftc ??
I had planned this day of caching all week. I headed off from Greystanes at 8am with my list of 56 caches and supplied with water, sandwiches, and a thermos, tea bags gloves and GPS.
I head south down Woodville Rd through Moorebank heathcote, waterfall, madden plains stopped at sublime point for a cuppa, then along Appin Rd and down to Cataract Dam. Then back up Baden Powell dr over to Appin, through Campbelltown, the M7, M4 and home, arriving at 1800. For 176 km, 32 finds, 5 DNF and 19 DNA for different reasons.
The finds today included meeting 2 groups of cachers on Baden Powell dr and I found my 1st ammo tin but now I have found 5, picked up 2 TBs, and the spillway was open at the dam.
It has been a great caching day. Buggered but now it is time to do some logging.
I parked up the side street and walk around the corner for a quick grab. TFTC.
