13 C and raining. Should I watch a kids' football tournament well, maybe a few caches before kickoff.
Had to Park the Giant GeoMobile a fair way back and walk up the road to this one. Found it but the GeoWife decided it was way to dangerous and not worth an accident to continue with the ones close to the road so this was the last for Today.
Our attempt to achieve 7 times around our grid is getting harder and harder, and I think after May is completed, I will have to make the decision to only attempt 6.
OR 5.
Which is a shame, but to be honest, we are running out of caches in the Warwick/Granite Belt/ Toowoomba area that are achievable by us.
Not planned one today but who can bypass a lonely cache in a sea of smilies.
Thanks for hiding this one here for us to find Rainforest Cookie

TFTC, no reception in the area so be mindful of that. Found with aninjaify. No real need for stealth, traffic virtually nonexistent.
Another cache on my way to Stanthorpe from Goondiwindi via Texas, and another unloved. All is well with the cache.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie for placing the cache here.

TFTC! Out for a Sunday arvo drive and came across this find. I really enjoy the country drives to find a cache or two?
This was the other cache that Pa was prepared to pull up for despite being on the other side of the road. Another quick easy find and after adding my name to the log I returned him to his hidey hole. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Heading to 2018 Big Red Bash at Birdsville, just had to grab a few roadside caches along the way.

TFTC smile 3357 out and about with miss millie geodog on our way home to Queensland
This cache was visited whilst participating n the Cycle Queensland 2017 Adventure Tour - Goondiwindi to Currumbin.
There's no parking problems when you're on a bike, just pull it far enough off the road to be out of the way of other riders. This was a fund day with fire, ambulance and police vehicles traveling in both directions with lights and sirens going. This activity was due to fires, riders crashing and a car and truck collision. It was here a fire truck heading into Stanthorpe went past at a rapid rate of knots.
Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie.

6599 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1120. On our last leg to Stanthorpe for the Canadian Event tomorrow. To travel this way has fulfilled one off our to travel list. Parked at the track intersection and walked the last 170 metres. All in good condition. SL Tnx Rainforest Cookie. Thank you for bringing us this way on our trip. This is now rated number 2 track in Australia for us. A very enjoyable drive.
Spending a few days in the local area and decided to pick up a few caches whilst out and about with geo friends. Thanks Rainforest Cookie for the neat hide and TFTC
Out for a drive on the country roads and of course all caches must be found. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Rainforest_Cookie for the cache.
Quick roadside stop -hard to find place to pullover though in hindsight should have pulled off at dirt drive about 100m before csche (heading towards Stanthorpe) made kid swaps TFTC.
I completely went flying past this one so I had to hook a u-ey and go back, then another one. Not a lot of room to park but enough to get the job done. The cache was nice and dry in it's hide. Signed in with mm29 today then replaced as found.

Back in Stanthorpe for a few days to clean up after Mega, where we spent most of the time on the Apples.
Not much left of the cache hide - and yes, it was a lonely spot on the highway.
Found at 1:30pm on 6th December, 2015. TFTC.

Out for a great day of caching with Gram4380 and DarthKitty. This was a fairly quick find for us. Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Out on a geocaching adventure with joojoo57 & gram4380 and thought we would brave the wild west (at least for a bit). Definitely a bit of carnage on this road and was able to see (and smell) some of the remnants on our walk back to the cache. Cache in good condition. Thanks for placing this one Rainforest Cookie.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! So, I attended the Stanthorpe mega at the request of several members of the organsing team. Having been to every event designated "Mega" in Australia up to this time I almost felt an obligation to oblige. I knew I would have fun catching up with the many friends I've made Australia-wide and that caching would be done -- and done it was! These are the finds I made while in the area and I enjoyed all of them despite the rainy and a tad cold weather. I cached with Uni, Shonky, and SX as well as Moneydork throughout the weekend. Thanks to all who placed caches in the region, they were all enjoyable.
Continuing our journey west we came upon another cache to do. Had to park a short distance away and walk back to this one. The side of the road seemed too unsafe. Anyway found the cache, signed the log and returned to geomobile.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Rainforest Cookie. We found your cache "Wild Ones" at 9:43:00 AM today.
This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9452.)
[Blue]
When we started our cache run today, the weather was absolutely miserable - cold and damp. As we approached this series of caches the clouds disappeared and the sun shone. On our return trip it certainly got colder again. (Maybe we should have stayed out caching much longer.
[Green]Thanks for placing a large cache here. After caching for over ten years it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches (without swaps) is increasing. While nanos and eclipse tins sometimes have their place in an urban environment these, along with 200ml Sistemas, seem to be the norm these days even out in more remote areas. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache.[/Green]
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge. Dropped Trackable: "Australia/Alaska Travel Bug #1"
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
