13 C and raining. Should I watch a kids' football tournament well, maybe a few caches before kickoff.
Pa and I were moving from Texas, Queensland, to Stanthorpe this morning. I wasn't sure that I was going to enjoy that camp as I had heard stories about how cold it gets up there. Despite a previous log on this cache we decided to see if it was feasible to stop and look for it while towing our van. As we approached, Pa said no worries, and he was right. There is a wonderful place to stop, so while I did the short walk, Pa made morning tea. It was an easy cache to find and the log now holds my name. TFTC Rainforest Cookie.
Day 25With the QOGM event now over it was time to continue our journey alone back to Coffs Harbour. Visiting some new towns and LGAs we explored the countryside, Big Things, water tower art and of coarse many caches.A quick stop off here as we head to Stanthorpe. Thanks Rainforest Cookie for the placement.
A terrible 3 Way Corner to try to park the Giant GeoMobile. Was sussed out by the Farmer and his Wife who thought we had broken down but after explaining geocaching to them they were fine and left me to find the cache.
We were on holidays in Victoria for the MEGA EASTER 2023 and afterwards in NSW and are heading home now.
We stopped here, found the cache and signed the log.

I’m starting to dread reading “quick find” or “easy find”! After all the rain out this way, there has been quite a bit of debris dropped, so the cache was “well covered”! But Geohubby’s persistence paid off and we finally found it! Co-ordinates were spot-on. TFTC!
Hahahaha loved this cache! Dropped a trackable to continue its journey with someone new!! Happy caching!!
I stopped by here on the way from Goondiwindi via Texas to grab this cache. I noticed it has some unloved so was glad to pay a visit.
Thank you Rainforest Cookie for placing the cache here.

11:22:00 AM. A good place to pull up and check the caravan brakes. A short walk from the gravel stock pile and the cache was found. Log signed. Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie
Was a little tricky to find this one. We ended up leaving and coming back to it on our way home when we found it that time. Sneaky little spot.
TFTC! A nice quick easy find! It’s nice to find a cache in which gas not been found in 7 months. As always, I really enjoy these country road finds.
Day 22 Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. We camped beside the river at Bingara last night, and today drive from Bingara, via Warialda towards Coolatai, Texas, then onto the Granite Belt, where we narrowly missed a good storm.
I did not want to have to make Mr D stop too many times along this road, he was beginning to get a bit testy, but thought this one would be OK with the caravan in tow. We made the turn off, but no where to park, continued up the road to Inglewood till we found somewhere to turn around, then back to the intersection, and parked in a sort of dangerous spot. A truck slowed down to see if we were OK, the van on a rather precarious lean..... To cut a long story short, we found your cache Rainforest Cookie. Then we found a far better place to park.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie - no more stopping along this road for this trip.
Found with The X-Trailers whilst enjoying a day caching around Stanthorpe. After setting up camp we headed out before it was dark. TFTC
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Heading to 2018 Big Red Bash at Birdsville, just had to grab a few roadside caches along the way.

Now heading towards Stanthorpe, after visiting the limestone caves, we stopped at these couple of caches on the way.
I soon found this one and added our name to the list.

Re-logging. Going through my statistics for Challenge caches to complete. Noticed my stats for 8 Nov 2017 were not right - some caches not logged on correct date - causing my Most Counties in a Day and Distance Travelled in a Day to be incorrect. Plus some are in the wrong order of my travels. I need to fix it for my personal and stats accuracy.
Changed original log to a Write Note and will delete soon.

Found 8 Nov 2017 it sure pays to make notes on caches when your travelling so as to pique ones memory of a cache. I have forgotten everything about this one. Nevertheless, I know I stopped for this cache as I was looking to find caches with interesting names or in interesting places. This one was on my list of stops for me as I like the name. SL. Thanks for bringing me here.

6597 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1120. On our last leg to Stanthorpe for the Canadian Event tomorrow. To travel this way has fulfilled one off our to travel list. Parked on the inside corner and battled the Farmers Friend grass to GZ. Cache in good condition. SL Tnx Rainforest Cookie
Spending a few days in the local area and decided to pick up a few caches whilst out and about with geo friends. Thanks Rainforest Cookie for the neat hide and TFTC
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Then came the task of removing the "farmer's friends" seeds from our clothing. We had forgotten about them after our last visit to Queensland but the memories of getting them off clothing returned very quickly. After about 10 minutes, we were back in the car. Thanks Rainforest_Cookie for the cache.
Finally stopped raining and sun is coming out. Heading to northern sundown national park to find waterfall. Stopped for a quick cache. Nice easy find TFTC. Took off again trying to find a spot to turn around and came head on with a flock of sheep coming down the road had to turn around quickly!
On a mission today so as soon as I left Nundubbermere Rd I headed straight for this one first. A bit of a drive out to here but thankfully unlike Nundubbermere Rd (that's a mouth full) this one is alllll bitumen. With no one around it was safe enough to pull up on the joining road to make the find.
I signed in with mm29 then replaced as found.

Back in Stanthorpe for a few days to clean up after Mega, where we spent most of the time on the Apples.
Yea! Made it to the Wild West! But there's nothing here except a cache! Oh well, guess that's what we came for!

The most west cache for our adventure today. Caching is much easier with additional sets of eyes. Soon it was in hand and signed before we turned back and headed south. Cache in good condition. Thanks for these Rainforest Cookie.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! So, I attended the Stanthorpe mega at the request of several members of the organsing team. Having been to every event designated "Mega" in Australia up to this time I almost felt an obligation to oblige. I knew I would have fun catching up with the many friends I've made Australia-wide and that caching would be done -- and done it was! These are the finds I made while in the area and I enjoyed all of them despite the rainy and a tad cold weather. I cached with Uni, Shonky, and SX as well as Moneydork throughout the weekend. Thanks to all who placed caches in the region, they were all enjoyable.
This one took us a while to find.
We couldn't help but build a detour to Texas into out MEGA trip as we were caching with SEMIK, who is initially from Texas USA.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Rainforest Cookie. We found your cache "Wild West" at 10:03:00 AM today.
This was our 4th cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9455.)

When we started our cache run today, the weatherwas absolutely miserable - cold and damp. As we approached this series of caches the clouds disappeared and the sun shone. On our return trip it certainly got colder again. (Maybe we should have stayed out caching much longer.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
