Day 2 of (almost) 4 in the Boise area and today it was down south to grab a few around here, and of course hit a PT or 2. Plenty of other caches in there as well....and it was neat day. Being from Australia, it was strange not to see the rise until just after 8.00am, but cool all the same.
As for the Challenge side of the cache...yes I meet the requirements to log this one, as my profile reflects.
Thanks to all cache owners for the work to have them out there. Thanks also for showing me some great views along the way.
Cheers....and greetings from Australia.

We had another great day caching the Idaho trails. We moved basecamp this morning from Glenns Ferry to Grand View to begin the Owyhee Uplands Byway. We had a lot of caches to look for on the way and only had one DNF and we told ourselves it had to be missing
Also, it was a rattlesnake free day, so that was greatly appreciated We signed a lot of the logs as 2 Gypsies, and our heartfelt thanks to all the local cachers who put out these caches. The state should fund the geocaching organization for bringing in paying customers, heaven knows we have left enough cash all over the United States during our travels but what a great way to spend your time and money. This is our third trip to Idaho, the first being just before we started caching and the next 2 times to cache.
Proof is on our profile.

Out with Lorriebird and Team Greenwoodturner today. Thought about hiking the train, but decided to wait because of the rain. Thought about tackling some more of the Byway, but turned back due to snow. So, we decided to tackle some of the caches in this area. As my profile shows, I've found 100 caches in 14 different states so far. This was #29,000 for me. Thanks for the fun!
Neither rain now snow can stop cachers who traveled thousands of miles to log some smileys! ...and traveled a few thousand miles to collect lots of caches in every state. As of this date my profile will show more than100 caches in the following 11 states:

A great day of caching in the Idaho desert with PhilatSea. It was quite windy at timed and hard to see for all the dust. It was our goal to pick up all of the challenged caches in the area as well as the traditionals. For the most part we were successful but one road was just too rough to travel on. We will save these for another time. Thanks for placing all of these caches. Stamped the log with the Canadian Caching Crew or Canadian Maple Leaf stamp.
Signed the log but do not yet qualify.

Visiting the area and going after the challenges that you folks so thoughtfully placed for all of us. We enjoyed the few that we got to, particularly the variation in hides and containers. Thanks for allowing us to benefit from the fruits of our previous labors, as well. SL with the initials VGG. Our Profile will indicate that we have qualified for this challenge.
We loved all these challenge caches. Our public profile will show that we have 100 caches in 13 states. TFTFun
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, our challenge cache tour continued in the Mountain Home area of Idaho today. We ran up and down the gravel roads and even saw a coyote at one of the caches. All caches were in great shape with good coordinates. I replaced a couple of containers that were broken. I also talked to a local landowner that was geocacher friendly. Thanks for placing these challenge caches
Well, it's on. I talked dkestrel into doing this track because of all the unknown type caches that were on it (her weakness, as in she can't resist them). We hydrated up and off we went. For most of the route I was hanging off the side of the car and sent out to find the cache with dkestrel giving me the direction as we stopped. Most of the finds were luckily strait forward and easy to spot. For the ones farther from the road I took the GPSr along. For some, dkestrel actually had to aid me in the hunt. As we neared the fenced off area, we thought we were heading toward a prison. As we got close, we realized it was an Air Force base. I wonder what the people on watch think when they see us geocachers scrambling around in the desert around their base. Thanks for putting together this mighty trail. We grabbed what we could and the logs were signed "DD". Caching in the dark with a flashlight in the desert can be intimidating. I'm glad most of these were strait forward finds as I lost some wind from my sails after we found the rattlesnake. My profile will show my qualification for this challenge.
In the latest in a string of insane caching extravaganzas, Doc and I headed out for the second International Earthcaching Event in St George, Utah on a long weekend.Since we were "in the area" we also wanted to pick up Potter's Pond to complete our Jasmer Challenge. Well, check and check. We saw a lot of amazing country and grabbed a bunch of virtuals and earth caches in which this area is, for some reason, rich. We also met some awesome folks and had a lot of fun. Needless to say we picked up a bunch of other caches along the way too. Thanks to all the cache owners who thoughtfully placed and maintain their caches to crank up the volume on our fun meter. You can check my profile to see that I qualify for this one.
Out and again picking up some very cool caches. Found cache in good condition. Just trying to keep cool! Thanks League of Id Cachers! TFTC SL
Out for another geocaching road trip adventure! This was a third day in Idaho working on the power trails and other fine caches around the area. Thanks to the Idaho COs for all the hard work on putting these out there for all to enjoy! Found everything safe and sound. TFTC

This is day seven of an awesome caching trip. Our main objective was to hit the Owyhee trail and possibly get some caches of the train. We succeeded in both although we were not able to complete all the trail. On the trail we ran into fire fighters mopping up hot spots. They are great the way they have to work on that rough terrain and still put out the fire that seems to be everywhere. It is amazing how different the land is from one end to the other. It sure was a beautiful ride. Our cache team is Ohio Cache Crew consisting of Happyyeti, The busy Bee, Skibug9 and myself ohiograndpa. Thanks for the cache. see my profile
