Up and down, around and over, we followed the mountain bike track along the river to this one - only difference was that we were walking not riding! Initially we were looking around the wrong leaning tree, until Mrs Harrowang noted Riddells logged comment. Ah hhhh - that's better. An easy find and now the name & description all makes sense. Another easy find, spotted from the track. Covered it to make it less obvious to the next cacher. Thanks kamikaze cacher for the fun
thank you for bringing us here and setting out this series of caches for us. Found quite easily with misschief18 and Bentley TB

Plenty if hiding spots but luckily we fluked it.
Great series and good sizes caches as well .
Thanks for the cache.

Quickly found after a lovely walk from the car. Signed log and replaced. TFTC.
Our first visit to Sheppardton, staying for a few days to cache around the area.
We made our way along the trail, missed a few caches & left a few caches.
This was one we picked up, & we hope to return another day to complete the trail.
Many thanks for placing this cache, kamikaze cacher, for us and others to find.

Finally found some time to head back out along this trail to grab a few more geocaches. It was quite a warm day today so I'm suprised we didnt come across a snake on some of these very grassy areas. Found after a short search. Clues retreived for a later date and a few more SGBR's crossed of the list. TFTC
Searched and searched then read previous logs. It was too late in the day to get wet.
Hmmm !! I thought #8 was a challenge to find
But on my "long way around" stroll, #10 turned out to be a real bother to find
Yes there was a great deal of "TIMBER" around
So I scratched around it for a cache, or a snake, whichever came first [:o)]
Nothing found after 10 minutes of poking, so I sat down in a shady spot to ponder the clues again.
Looking around I had a 'forehead slapping moment' [:o]
So obvious !!
And a few seconds later I had the cache in paw
TFTC ... the stroll continues

Found the quiet tree 16m from gz where i searched a very noisy one. All smiles with cache in hand. Can't begin to say what a lovely Australia day I am having.

Suscoe headed across to Shepparton today from Benalla for a big day out.
This was our 18th find of quite a few.
Well we were happy that not one slithery friend was spotted today as we went our way around here in the long grass. Took the bike on this part of the trail. All good at GZ.
It was pretty hot today with little breeze and a hot sun.
Thanks to Kamikaze cacher for placing this cache.
Disturbed some picnic folks along the way.

An event in Shepp. A chance to catch up with a good bloke from Wagga and share a few finds. Doesn't get much better...
We had to resort to the clue as the GPS pointed us 12m away. The cache name and the clue were very helpful.
Thank you for the cache kamikaze cacher. Thanks Roosta for the fun afternoon.

Another great day of caching around Shepparton with WazzaAndWenches after the EC event.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good quick finds.
Although this one took a lot longer as Wazza found it a good 14m from our GZ.
Thanks for the cache kamikaze cacher,

On our way back to the south coast today but before we leave Shepp we aim to find a few of the SGBR Series.
Walked past this to start with before realising the title had some real significance. Found in good order.

What a beautiful stretch of the river. Shepparton residents so lucky to have this great walking track.
#851 Like Erosion Gully this was another previous dnf that we found relatively quickly today. We recall checking this spot last time but there was definitely no cache there. Today was a different story and we are happy to tick this one off the list - tftc.

We totally over complicated this one. Good thing we already had wet feet! Tftc
Had to swim to get this one! Duck dived, nearly died- AND THERE WASN'T EVEN A GOOD BLOODY TOY IN IT! Improve people.
Found after expanding the search area. Nice place for a cache. Thank for the hide
Out caching the area with ben.ro and he found two caches here as reported in an earlier log, nobody had signed the new log so we removed it and notified the cache owner.
We were in town for the State Square Dance Convention and with a spare afternoon on our hands went for a walk with the 2 Rascals to look for a few caches. TFTC
A wonderful walk, with some great scenary. Was a nice and easy find abd very relaxing signing if the log. TNLN TFTC
A good challenge with the gps bouncing everywhere! Loved this place, great trees
We were in town for the State Square Dance Convention and with a spare afternoon on our hands went for a short walk with the cookemonsters (not so short in the end) to look for a few caches. The GPS suggested that the cache was in the river so we looked further. A rather warm day and as we didn't bring any water we called it a day here. TFTC.
A great days caching with many differing experiences, some where I walked right to the cache and others where I needed to hunt around a bit. As usual I have enjoyed the various challenges set by the CO's and the fact that I get to cache with friends and am outside in the great outdoors.
Many thanks kamikaze cacher for placing this cache .

First cache of the new year...and once at GZ...I searched around but to no avail. It wasn't until I eventually extended the search area did I locate the cache 15m away! As I picked up the cache, there was not one...but two caches at GZ???? Looks like the cache that was replaced was actually there.
Gratias Team Kamikaze.

A very quick find while out introducing friends to geocaching. Great day for a walk in the sun. TFTC
Had no luck here even though I was there with o.kay who had found it previously there was no sign of this cache. May need to check this on kamikaze cacher
Logging a virtual find with permission as the cache was missing in action and replaced just after my fruitless search THANKS kamikaze caxher
Decided to tackle four caches this morning with 8yo geo-son and 4yo geo-daughter, This was our third of three DNF's for the day (out of four caches, not the greatest result). After reading and re-reading the description, we came across two or three promising candidates, but just couldn't come up with the goods...
Came down to Shepp today to get a couple of things from Bunnings, so why not get a few more caches out of the way... This one took a little while as had to widen search, but after reading cache description I kept heading back to the same location where I reckoned it might be and finally found it ... TFTC
Searched for ages for this one but to no avail. Even tried Robmc's coords, which took us to the spot we suspected, but still no go. Must be very well concealed. Too good for us!
Found 12:31pm , find # 2327
Today I used my Senior's Free Rail Coupon to travel from Melbourne to Shepparton, and then I walked around for the middle part of the day picking up some of the local caches. Mainly concentrating on some of the Shepparton Goulburn Broken River Trail Series, I also picked up a few around the central part of the town before catching the train home.
I had a great day, with only a single DNF, and ended up walking just under 20km.
Some of the caches took a while to find, and I also did a few multis, so my numbers weren't high, but I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
This was find number 7 of 13 for the day.
This one took a long time to find.
Switched to Robmc's coords but that didn't help much.
A nasty place for a GPS. The clue could have referred to a number of locations with 5 or 10m of the indicated GZ, which kept shifting.
Eventually found it, but it's very well hidden.
Thanks kamikaze cacher.

I had to go back for this one. I was in the right place last time but couldn't find it. This time I did a more thorough search even though the rain was falling and the wind was blowing! TFTC kc A great little cache with a very good hidey hole.
I searched and searched and then went further afield. I spent ages there looking for this one but to no avail. It had been raining so the trail was greasy in places and I muddied my pants in a BUMpy slide downhill. I'll try again another day.
A trip to SGBR for a small caching ride through Shepparton with Bettyboo3747.
The big trees were giving the GPSr some grief and several caches were a bit out (a couple we have included our find co-ords). A nice ride along the trail on a rare sunny day.
We had to find a track back to this one as we had chosen incorrectly and went a bit past GZ. We were soon at something that matched the description and even had close co-ords. BB was all over it like a rash!
I went a bit further down the track and found something that I though matched the description a bit closer. Interesting.
Searched it a couple of times before I got my greasy mitts on the container.
It creaked a few time in the strong wind which gave me the willies a bit.
Thanks, Robmc.
btw, my find co-ords were 36 24.160 145 23.134 not too far out, but a bit.

# 3897. Joint FTF with Robmc. We had high hopes for today's ride knowing that there were 20/21? caches to find and that it was a newly released series. However, there were quite a few damp spots as a result of so much rain and the coordinates were a long way out on many caches which slowed the searches considerably and caused a lot of frustration.
We were surprised to be FTF here after the series has been out for a few weeks now. Again the coordinates were out quite badly and Rob took a WP averaging here. He sussed out the cache notes a lot better than me but it still took him a while to locate the sneaky hide. We did enjoy being the First to Find here. Signed log, collected what we needed and were soon on our way. TFTC
