We were in Glasgow to see Wicked at the King's and as we'd had the tickets for almost a year it gave us plenty planning time for some cache grabbing before hand. This cache was added to the list and although i qualified on 2 cache types i either needed to attend 70 events in 6 months or find 25 multi's so obviously the later won.
3 days to go and we still had 5 multi's to get so that became priority and finally we had our 3 centuries.

So today we arrived at gz just as the rain started and both of us had a really good look around the hint item but couldn't find anything, retreated to the car to dry out a little before going out to try again as i really didn't want this to turn into a dnf after all the work we'd put in to be able to qualify. But I'm afraid it did as we are either completely loosing our touch or it's missing.

Guess we'll just have to return at a later date to finally get our well deserved smiley here.

Now I know I'm a Leo and Leos are supposed to make grand entrances and enjoy all the attention, but I promise I was being really really discreet (and am a little shy at times too). So it seemed really unfair that the moment I got into the vicinity of GZ, there was a loud announcement on the tannoy that the station was to be evacuated and everyone was please to get out!

What did I say? What did I do???

Anyway, as it started raining, I decided to carry about my business and hope I didn't look too suspicious. However, my GPS wasn't playing ball and decided it was going to footer around and make me walk from pillar to post without getting anywhere significant. Oh, really subtle, GPS! I couldn't find the relevant hint item because something bigger and better seemed to be closer to the 0 ft position. Finally however, I found the item but not the cache. Hmmmm. A quick fumble later and there it was.

Now to the qualifying bit. Well when this was solved, I easily fulfilled 2/3 of the requirements with traditionals and mysteries. The next closest was the multis which I think were loitering in the 60-somethings. So time to address that and address that I have, with a lot of fun in between times. However, in the last few days, I have struggled with the final 2; in fact, I've struggled even to get out caching, so dull and depressing has it been across the country. Yesterday, I found one of the two I couldn't complete last weekend, but the final one eluded me. So it was on 99 that I signed this today, but I'm claiming the find here as I have subsequently found the 100th which qualifies. As I always log in chronological order, that log is to follow…

TFTC, and thanks also, through this challenge, for getting my interest in multis reinvigorated. They are great, but because they require a wee bit more effort, people don't always find the time to do them. Yet they are some of the finest caches out there.

Quick edit to add the numbers:

3740 Traditionals at the time of finding this (now 3742)
352 Mysteries at the time of finding this (now 356)
99 Multis at the time of finding this (now 100)

As I was coming to Glasgow for a city break I looked to see what caches were local to our hotel and hey presto it was this one. Did I qualify, yes! After a great meal at The Wee Curry Shop RTM, SagBag and I came to collect the cache. It was SagBag who got it! TFTC.

Now we qualify Big Grin

Found with Niri. We spent many months of caching trips focused on multis to qualify for this challenge. We thought we were heading for a 3rd DNF in 4 challenges but after reading the logs we understood we had been searching the wrong hint items - not even realising the GZ was a hint item. Once we got the correct structure Niri quickly made the find. Very nice to finally complete this one. My profile page shows that I have centuries in the tradition, unknown and multi categories. This challenge certainly altered our caching strategy and I have many more multis than I would have done without it.

Found with Landsbanki on a rainy day caching trip to Glasgow. We had completed the challenge a little while ago, and as at the time of logging this my stats are:
2237 traditional
143 unknown
102 multi

It's been hard getting there, but of course fun too.

The cache was a bit tricky. The coords put us out in the middle of the road, then we searched every cycle path sign we saw. We didn't realise what the structure where the cache was hiding was. Interesting and unique.

Nice early morning find with good clue. You will see on our profile/stats page that we have 4 centuries completed, Trads, virtuals, unknowns and earthcaches and only a few short of 100 multis Smile Thanks for the challange

Easy find due to could hint from the CO - come to think of it you always give good hints which is an incentive to actually go and grab the cache

Pretty sure at the moment we only qualify on traditionals and puzzles but we are working on multis as we have a 500 challenge back home with an FTF still up for grabs!

28th November.
Not many more caches required to complete challange so signed when I was passing during a day in Glasgow.

20th January.

After a great day out caching along the River Almond in Livingston, I found my 100th Puzzle Cache and now meet the requirements for this Challange Cache. The screen shot from my Statistics is attached.

This is also my 2800th find, not far from 3000 now.

TFTC. When this was first published I was still one century short, toss up between multi and EC as both were sitting around the 50-60 mark. Decided to concentrate on the multi's as there are much more of them nearby. Finally got our 100th in Edinburgh today. Dropping off a geopal across the road so stopped by to sign the log. Took a moment or so to find the blighter, thought it was awol for a minute. Cheers Smile

Challenge now completed. Eventually got the required multis over 6 months later. Cheers

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

An afternoon of caching in Glasgow on foot. Loved the structure this cache was attached to. Not what I was expecting the hint item to look like. Nearly didn't spot it at first but it was all in the fingers.

My granny used to stay in the flats next to the cache so knew the spot quite well.

Nearly hitting 4000 caches so thought I would qualify for this cache no probs. huge surprise when I tick the trad and puzzle caches but still way way short for earthcaches and Multis. New challenge for me is to start doing more Multis. Cheers

Ganz vergessen, hier unsere Logbedingungen:
Tradis 1798
Mysteries 391
Multis 237

15-Dec-13

I spotted the site straightaway (I have one located at one of the other three types) but needed the hint to track down the container. Not sure about the T3.5 rating though! When I found the cache my stats were
Traditional 3175
Unknown 550
Multi 232
so I guess I qualify Wink. TFTC

04-Dec-13
Challenge accepted - but quite a way off. I see from the log our neighbours from the Wee County were here earlier today!

04-Dec-13
Started to work towards this when we only had about 50 multis and finally got our 100th on 23 Nov. Took the bus to Glasgow today to sign the log. Enjoyed doing all those multis - even got us a beautiful cycle round Loch Rannoch. You can see our stats on our public profile - at time of signing we had:
Trad 2079, Unknown 295, Multi 102.
Thanks for setting this challenge.
BTW is there a challenge for taking 6 buses to find only 5 caches? Wink
