Looks like the cache is missing! Pine tree and surrounding trees have been recently lopped! Lower branches are missing. Looked high and low but no luck. However I did come across a sleepy possum!

08-Mar-19
It's had a good run but for the moment it's gone - they have trimmed the tree and the cache is gone.

I plan to put it back - if possible for tomorrows park opening but I'm not sure if I have a container at home.

Thank you for this cache! I work nearby and this was a nice quick find. Very fun. Don’t be put off by the nearby construction, the cache is intact and outside the construction boundary fence. Hope it stays that way.

To celebrate the wonderful Countrykittykats birthday, we set ourselves the mad challenge of visiting 30 counties in a day. Not at all sure that it was possible, I planned and prepped and we set out hoping for the best. Only hunting for D1.5 T1.5 caches to accomodate Countrykittykats injured ankle. Low are behold after an epic day of caching, where we saw beach and city, suburbs, bush and farms. We made it! Our 30 counties found and one extra for good measure Smile Just for an extra perk. A wonderful day out together and an adventure we won’t forget quickly! Thanks everyone for making this wonderful day possible by keeping your caches alive. TFTC

Found 21/10/18 with The_Jugheads. We were worried that the cache location wouldn’t be accessible because of the works being undertaken at the oval, but fear not - the cache is still in tact and easy to get to. TFTC

In the area, visiting my husband who's just had surgery at the nearby hospital, I was a bit early for visiting hours, so decided to look for this cache. A nice quick find, due to the great hint. Took a TB. TFTC

14-Oct-18
Our trip to Australia together with kimallus was on its second full day and before the activities in the afternoon and evening we went for a walk around St. Leonards close to our hotel.

We started from here. At first we were afraid that the construction work would block our way, but that was an unnecessary worry. As soon as we arrived to GZ, we found a possum occupying a nice slot. Luckily the cache was not there but in the next location. Thanks for the cache.

14-Oct-18
Thank you for the cache!
More later.

08-Oct-18
Was visiting a relative in hospital with Trodectus, so this was one to try for after visiting. Approached GZ and despite part of the area being cordoned off after a short search had CIH. Log signed and returned, then on our way home. TFTC

08-Oct-18
Found with Coybear2000. We came to the hospital to visit a relative. Afterwards we decided to go for this one. We tried to follow the GPS unit, but it was forever pointing into the construction zone. On looking at previous logs, we saw that it had been found recently. So we started searching where we were closest to GZ and soon we spotted the hide. Log signed and cache replaced and off we went for a bit of lunch. TFTC.

06-Oct-18
Found on a nice Saturday afternoon. It was raining this morning. So when it stopped I went outside and decided to do a cache or 2. Quick find. Cheers for the cache!

nice walk and easy find over lunch - thanks

17-Jun-18
Visiting a friend in hospital today, so was walking right past this one going back to the station. TFTC.

09-Jun-18
I was very pleased when misspalot suggested we meet up this weekend and take a sizeable walk from St Leonards to North Sydney. Of course we probably didn't need to make the walk longer by heading the wrong way out of the station. Then it took a while to find the cache in this surprisingly quiet spot. All rather embarrassing for me given I already walked down and found this a few years ago. Still, misspalot made a good find in good time and allowed me to start emptying a swag bag I've been accumulating. All the while a very confident kookaburra looked on from a nearby temporary fence.

09-Jun-18
Met up with rassilon256 for an overdue catch up (geocaching). Being a bit rusty, started off the day by going in the opposite direction - oops! At gz, the trees provided enough shelter from the rain while a kooky kept watch on the branch nearby, perhaps it will have a good laugh if we don't find the cache.
Very well hidden, needed a good poke to fish it out, thanks!

06-May-18
Found this on the way home from shore school. The hint is very useful and I still found the possum next to the tree. TFTC.

03-Apr-18
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

03-Apr-18
Tree has been marked with an "X" for a long time - it looks like with the current works at the oval the cache is safe. Longer term they are looking at building an indoor sports centre at this location but it is a long way in the future.

02-Apr-18
Nice hide! Clue was very helpful. TFTC!
As a bonus, I noticed a brushtail possum staring out at me from neighbouring tree... very cool.

02-Apr-18
Noticed that tree is marked with spray painted yellow X... often a council sign that tree is planned to be removed. Cache may need to be relocated.

Wandered down from work this beautiful sunny afternoon and was soon rewarded with a quick find! Cache is in great condition. The log states 2 trackables can be found here, however upon inspection I found zero here. Someone must have taken them and forgot to log them. SL TNLN TFTC!

Neat spot, easy find Smile

09-Dec-17
Tftc, had to visit someone in hospital and I had the geotoddler with me who need to work off a bit of cabin fever. We wandered down to the cache area and she tried her best of the exercise equipment, loving it all! We then did a treasure hunt which she didn't enjoy as much.

25-Nov-17
Today, once again I ventured to the north. Starting again at Greenwich Point however this time walking the beautiful Lane Cove Gore Creek trail with a diversion to Northwood and then through to Artarmon where I caught a train to Nth Sydney for an extra few before heading back to Balmain from McMahons Point. 22 targeted, 19 found, 2 DNF, 1 missing.

Quick find thank to the hint, few muggles about but no problems here. TFTC #455

I was in the area this morning and after having found great parking decided to walk to the nearby caches and get the best value from my parking fluke. Found the GZ quickly and once I made the correct approach the cache was easily spotted. Replaced with some natural camo to make it look less obvious.

05-Oct-17
Quick find here on a pretty busy day. Glad it's far enough away from the exercise area to avoid suspicion. TFTC

Day 11 in Australia: North Sydney and Harbor bridge.

Quickly located the right place based on both coordinates and the explicit hint. Small corner of the container was barely visible but enough to do the trick and the logbook was in my hands and ready to be signed.

No signs of any of the mentioned travelers which are supposed to be in it though.

Greetings from Latvia and Belgium!

Had this bold hide pretty much dissed out from about 30m out. On a breezy Monday afternoon there weren't any muggles about to disturb the hunt. Sat down nearby with Mrs MajuraHathi and signed the log, giggly to ourselves about what would happen if we did a Facebook checkin at the RNSH across the way (we live in Canberra)!
Thanks for the fun today....
Cheers

This was my first geocache! It was so fun and creatively hidden. For those who struggled, you must look where the bush is and it is not on the ground.

14-Aug-17
Attending a work meeting in a building over the road and was given a lunch break long enough to cross the road and find this cache- even dropped off a free promotional pen I received 2hrs prior. Thanks for the cache and the work break -had to leave the nearby cemetery cache for the next work visit.

09-Aug-17
Seeing a client at the hospital means it's time for a cheeky nearby cache. Few muggles around but none paying attention to me. Once around the tree before quickly making the find. Cache #231 TFTC

A nice distraction from a doctor's appointment, thanks! Great hiding spot too.

01-Aug-17
I fear this cache may disappear in the near future as they start doing major works at the oval (rotating it and turning it into a synthetic field). Once I know what's happening I'll update this and move/disable/remove it as required.
