As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Nice being back to the beach I grew up at with my 4 year old. Did not find anything but seems a while since anyone has
Went to the local beach with my daughter. Disappointing day didn't find anything.
TYFT C We were never able to find the one that used to be at this spot ages ago
Don't know where this was. Looked everywhere we could think of pertaining to the hint, but in the end decided to carry on with our walk up the coast.
Was tampered with... Found contents on beach. Needs new logbook. Rehid in same location.
It was the last day that my grandson was staying with me and he wanted to do some more caching and, of course, I wasn't going to refuse that request. I had been here previously and suggested that it had gone AWOL. But after about 5 minutes I put my hand on it. Dang! don't you just hate it when that happens.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Looked all over and still no find. Maybe it was removed. Please check and confirm. Thanks
Would be a great place for a swing, and even a cache...if only we could find the jolly thing
After a walk in Long Bay Regional Park there was enough time left for some afternoon caching in and around Torbay before heading to the Sunset BBQ. Found a few missed a couple. TFTC
Found during the Mega weekend. The weather turned out to be much better than expected, and we enjoyed exploring all the walkways, nooks and crannies. Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches we found.

Found it while out caching with Fencarrows and SethRaven while we were at the Mega Event today. TFTC
Well we looked and looked and looked, GPS had us some distance from the cache. Just as well I cache with some kids in tow, not sure if I could have gotten this one. TFTC
Day 2 of my trip to Auckland for the Mega event. Today I decided to head north to the Whangaparoa Peninsula to take in some of the views and then to explore the Dairy Flat area to look for some smiles before finishing off the day with some Fish and Chips. The day did not quite start out as intended, so I ended up going straight up the motorway.
I headed back from the peninsula but managed to end back on the motorway so it was a 15 minute drive down the motor before I was able to get off and begin my afternoon of caching. After reaching the most northern of these caches I headed back toward Auckland knowing I had a dinner date.
After dinner I went to look for something sweet for dessert. I parked near the restaurant but they looked busy so I looked for the cache instead. Luckily I had the torch and after looking high and low I found the cache well tucked away. I then spotted the police just up the road stopping every-one on the friday afternoon drive home. So I knew I wouldn't be heading that way.

Out caching with Edvern after the NZ Mega Okura Bush Walk. We couldn't find this one after a bit of searching around so called off the search . Thanks anyway
Wasn't really the weather for swimming (except for the dedicated) so thought it would be a good evening to have a look.
Correct only one person around and they were at the other end busy with a mettle detector, which was good as it took a little while to find. TFTC

Found with KiwifruitsNZ and alpenmilch80 on our big day of tackling the geocaches in the area. A fantastic day of walking in both rain and shine, some friendly competition between team members, and lots of laughs as usual!
Lots of likely hidey-holes for this one! Eventually, alpenmilch80 had her hands on the goods.
TFTC and thanks for the company, both alpenmilch80 and KiwifruitsNZ!

We decided today to cover the Long Bay area and joined Vamber and alpenmilch80 for what turned out to be a long, but incredibly fun day. The standard events of a KiwiFruitsNZ/Vamber outing were all there - mud, geo-graphically challenged team members, the ongoing threat that someone would lose an eye to a branch, team members attemting to take short cuts to caches (though the usual suspect was surprsingly well behaved this time), the odd scrach or bruise, a few risks beeen taken, and, most importantly, a lot of laughs and friendly banter (even witnessed a high-five that I never thought I would see!)
Cache was found with relative ease, though once again, found in a spot that we had previously searched!
Thanks to alpenmilch80 and Vamber for an amazing day of caching! Bring on the next outing!

TFTC Nice hide, the GPS had me going round in circles, but my son has spent a lot of time on this little piece of the beach and searched this tree with his little torch til he found what was hidden.
My Dad used to live just up the road and we used to walk here all the time, GPS was out a bit cause of the trees but I kept hunting til I found it! TFTC
Narrowed down the possibilities before the search commenced and it was in the first place we looked. Nice cache tucked away safely from prying eyes. TFTC
Just started to rain as I arrived, so had the beach all to myself. Found after a quick fossick. TFTC.
Nice sheltered spot also for a picnic, all quiet here today with the weather closing in, cafe across the road was quiet

Thanks for the feedback. I will check tonight and ensure the cache is still there. Please note that the hint relates to the height of the positioning of the cache and doesn't necessarily imply that you will see it from the sand.
We were in Albany and had just scored a FTF on that cache when this notification came through. The rain had stopped so we decided to head up the Bays for a look. It was dark and the coordinates had us on the beach but the hint narrowed it down to 2 likely specimens. Being dark and with only a small torch it was like looking for a needle in a hay stack as there were plenty of places to hide a cache. After a good looks around both items the cache was finally located and another blank log book. FTF. . TFTC.
