Unfortunately the area is being developed and its time to retire this cache. Thanks to everyone who has found it and those who tried.
No luck, couldn't understand why it was so far into long snakey grasses but we tried and couldn't find it
I'm winding my way up to Exmouth for the eclipse After an overnight camp at Goodies, I was back in the car for the next leg up to Carnarvon... with a few caches to find on the way for good measure The two caches here were almost opposite the campsite so made sure to pull in and explore before heading north. Parked up along the track and headed over to GZ. Interesting to have a poke about among the relics. Spent ages on one particular host but after looking all over I wasn't having much luck. GPS was being a little ambiguous so thought I'd look over the other host... and surprised myself by making the find very quickly in the second place I checked! Relieved to make the find - phew All ok here today, TFTC
Parked at the fire station and walked up the firebreak until we were close. Had to walk through high grasses so pleased we had our snake aware trained up Geodog along ready to alert us of any slithering dangers. Found reasonably quickly after putting trust in our gps. TFTC
A quick trip up the coast so trying to grab a few caches along the way. Interesting bit of history and it took way too long to make the find and lots of distraction but we worked our way around and made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
I drove in here because of the rain, but then saw the long, dripping wet grass I had to walk through. It would have soaked my jeans, so didn't attempt it.
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
After a short search we had the cache located. Cheers Squash2!

Day 2 Arrived in Gero last night. The plan today is to hit the series and caches around Gero. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches - sorry for the genetic log. Signing as GT
love a bit of history - thanks for bringing me here

Found it. TFTC Squash2. Spent my share of time here and looked in all the usual places for this type of GZ. Nothing. Went to plan “B” with same results. Meetup with CO at previous Cache so I used a PAF card to get some sort of guidance. How many times did I look there ? Well I’m not saying because I will embarrass myself. aaaagh. Nah, I don’t wanna talk about it. Replaced as found.
Found it with help from the CO. It’s one of those “I can’t believe I didn’t see this the first time ”
I tried to find this cache today, but my luck was not good, or maybe it was my eyesight, or maybe it was not there. Will have to return at a later time effect a find.
This was my 3 DNF out of 4 DNFs and a total of 50 Finds on this outing.

Down and dirty girl (Me&B) strikes again! Definitely earned scones at Oakabella.
We ran out of time unfortunately. The GPS was playing up and it was too large of an area to search. Next time!
Thank goodness for that, this time we managed to find this cache, so many places to look...... but to be honest I’m not sure how we missed it the first time TFTC
We arrived at GZ without much hope after our total failure at Nanson Nomad but I am pleased to say that it was not too long before we had this one in hand. TFTC Squash2
Out and about near Geraldton WA and decided to go chase a few caches, Lucky we are staying nearby.

We are slowly working our way south on our way back to Victoria. Last night in Northampton and onto Geraldton for a few days. The incentive to continue south is not very high when we look at the weather forecast. Maybe we should turn around and head back to Broome. Only problem with that is we have cleaned out all the caches up there. The further south we travel, the more caches there are for us to find and Geraldton has always been a bit of a gold mine for caching. Plenty of quality and variety.
We pulled up in the area suggested and then walked to GZ. Our first reaction when we saw GZ was oh no! Then we realized it must be Eric's first car, left where it must have died! The only thing missing was a Holden badge considering all the rust!
We began to search trying to be thorough where the GPSr said was most likely. After a few minutes of feeling round we finally got a visual on the container and were soon signing the log.
Our first cache for the morning as we finally head for Geraldton.

We walked to this one from Where's the School? Felt a bit like we were heading on to private property but the sign from the road insinuated that it was okay to go there.
Had to walk through the long wet grass to get to GZ. It took a long time to find this one and we should have put more trust in our GPS.
Got caught in a rain shower [again] on our way back to the van.
Thanks.

Day 2 of our mini road trip and still in town doing some more caching. Today's plan tackle Alexander series then head to Northampton, Nabawa, and Nanson then back to Gero.
Have a few caches on my list so fingers crossed we can manage as many as possible
Turns out another warm day in town and I didn't pack my shorts
Another DNF due to time restrictions, will have to look another time

pug002 did not find this one, flies driving us mad, gps taking us from one car to another, so gave up to preserve sanity!
Headed out early this morning with iluvtrekking with Nanson and surrounds as our destination. Of course there were other various locations to explore along the way and some great caches. Quite a challenging location, rusty old car and waist high grass. The two geo-men called me for help, they were a bit miffed when I spotted it in a place they had both checked!! Thanks Squash2
We had a wonderful day today exploring the countryside around Geraldton looking for history, flowers and caches.
Thanks for the cache Squash2, but not sure where the post office is, must be buried under the long grass.

On a road trip to Gero for the IGD event with Kyzabra, jinta29 and SVKR_WA. Lots of good hearted banter was flung too and fro over the weekend while picking up several dozen caches about the place.
I needed a cache up Northampton way to fill a spot on a challenge I'm working towards ([GC3TR3M](https://coord.info/GC3TR3M)) and managed to convince the others that it would be good idea to take trip a little further north. On the way back we met up with Barnzy12 and cravo10 for a total of twelve eyes at several caches.
Spent a few minutes looking around here at two distinct objects and finally succumbed to not one but two PAFs. Just as the numbers were being dialled I reached up into somewhere that I seen more than one person check and laid my hands on the prize.
Squash2 I found your cache at 11:32am, this was the 13th of 40 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3394. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

TFTC! Today was day two of the "boys weekend" with me and Cravo heading up to Geraldton for IGD 2016, my third trip to this great part of our state and johns second. Think we will continue to do this every year? Especially with all of the new caches getting published around town!!
We picked up a number of new caches along the route and even some that we had missed on previous visits, being in a 4wd this year made it a lot easier to get to some of the hard to reach places that a 2wd would struggle to get to.
Started day two meeting up with Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett, SVKR, M4YB, clan Wallace and others to grab some orange tree series caches. We grabbed two and missed two, with safety being a first
Priority, two of them were just simply too high up even with some pretty series ladders!!
We then headed out to Nanson, Nabawa and finally to Northampton to complete the Nabawa Bound caches and everything Inbetween whilst dodging cyclists on the "tour de Geraldton" as we dubbed it. Was some really nice country driving today, this is way I love about caching, getting out and seeing the state on remote country roads.
We headed into Northhampton and found our first cache at the window entrance to town, and were surprised not to see the motley crew of Kyzabra, Jinta, Grannett and SVKR as they were heading to Northampton from the orange tree series so I thought it only fitting to leave them a nice little note in the logbook. We grabbed a couple of other caches around town and were met up by the motley crew at one of them, before we basically joined forces to grab the caches between Northampton and Geraldton. With six sets of eyes the caches didn't really stand much of a chance, although we did have to PAF at one!!
We made our way back into town and grabbed a bunch of caches with the motley crew along the Alexander trail where we signed logs at team PGC, don't really know what it means but that's what we signed the first fifteen or so with until the motley crew decided they need lunch and went their own way and we continued to finish the series and met up with other cachers further down who were out enjoying the sunshine.
Grab a couple of other "must do" caches the chirp chirp cache (highly recommended), Roxy rotunda (previous multiple DNF), something fishy (think we've tried for about five times!!) which was great as we had no DNFs which is very good for Geraldton!!
After lunch we headed back to the room to get ready for the event, arriving slightly later than planned we were only there for a short time before caches were published!! Someone announced twenty four emails had come though and I loaded the map and started running north to the nearest cache, gaining some valuable meters on the competition
It was like a scene from the IKEA ad, with Cravo asking if he should get he car and me yelling back "GET THE CAR!!" So I legged it to the first cache and he got the car and picked me up, it was the first of about fifteen FTFs for the day, we
Completed all of the caches north of the event and then looped back around to grab the caches furthest north and then back toward the event. We had a couple of DNFS Which was disappointing.
We headed back to the event and had the pleasure of completing some of geraldtons finest caches, the shake rattle roll, emergency were awesome. We were one of the few teams that actually didn't need the CO to assist by bringing the key!! Definitely a favourite and probably easier doing it with a beer in hand by the foreshore!!
After finishing the event we had a quick drive out to grab the new plane caches, got 3/4 there and then headed down to the water to complete he whereigo cache (highly recommended) and the two traditionals on the walk. Can't wait for tomorrow's adventure.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches

In Geraldton today with Jinta29, Granett and Kyzabra for International Geocaching Day 2016
Headed out to Northampton to grab a few caches. Looking with Cravo and Barnzy without success. We resorted to a phone a friend when Granett came up with the goods
Squash2. SVKR_WA found your cache on 20 August 2016. This find brings our finds count to 1469.
We have signed the log and replaced the hide as found.
Thanks for bringing us to this place.

Headed to Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day event on Saturday 20th August.
Barnzy12 and I packed the car at 6am and headed North. Despite making a critical error by choosing the freeway to start the journey we then made it to Geraldton and checked into the motel.
Today was day two and started with a little tree climbing caches with a group of others.
We then headed further north today prior to returning to gero for the event at 2pm.

The IGD Geraldton trip is fast becoming a MUST ATTEND weekend and this was my second trip up. Joining forces with Jinta29, Granett and SVKR_WA, we bundled into the SanteFe and headed up.
After a big day yesterday, we hit the ground running with an early start again today.
A couple of early first to finds, followed by some tree climbing, then a trip up to Northhampton.
Happy to cross this one off. After quite a hunt, Granett made the find.
Squash2 - Kyzabra found your cache Where's the Post Office? . This is my find #14 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

The second day of our Geraldton IGD trip and we had a plan to grab a few oddball D/T rated caches around town and also a few caches north of Geraldton . Kyzabra, Granett, SVKR_WA and I had an early start today as we had a fair distance to cover. This one was on the list, thanks for the cache

I had a short holiday in shark bay and was heading back to Perth so it was a caching run home ..... Quick find here TFTC
After attending skool,
I headed for the post office
Which strangely enough is something I used to do as a little tacker.
Yep !! "If" used to collect stamps and every time a new issue of Aussie stamps came out,
I could not wait for primary skool to end so I could head next door and spend me pocket money on as many of the stamps as I could afford
I kept collecting stamps all through high skool too.
The local postmaster always kept the best stamps and first day covers for me
'Nuff of the postal stuff !!
It took a while,
but I eventually found the cache out back of the Howatharra P.O. and can now post a finder's log
The olde mail van has seen better days
A lot of the panel work is perforated [:o]

Day fifty three of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Another travelling day - Hamelin Pools to Geraldton.
Woke up to a grey day, but the rain didn't start until we were past Northampton - about when we started doing a few caches.
Not a lot of the Post Office left here! Just a few cars waiting for a bit of service.
No cache for us here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

The first of 6 DNF's for us today. However we did note a lot of old building stuff lying around on the way back to the car.
After a HUGE hint (thanks CO) found the cache. I would have found it the first time if I had been prepared to get down and dirty. TNLNSL TFTC Squash2
Plus - Great to see a Triumph Mayflower, even if it is a rusted shell. They were fairly common when I was a boy in the 50's. Minus - Couldn't find the flaming thing. A hint would be a nice thing with a micro on machinery. Maybe next time.
No luck again although we did navigate the grass this time. Tried to phone a friend. Next time.
Came here after a couple of other "Where is" caches. Unreal that there were such well known locations here. Makes us feel very unimportant in the grand scheme. Who knows, maybe GEOCACHING logs will live on to make us immortal GeoJ started the search and made the find a few minutes later. TFTC Squash2!
Geohubby looked three times in this place as per my instruction! Third time lucky TFTC
NO; we are not disappointed,
Yes; it was a hot day,
Yes; the grass is high, but not too bad if you do not want to take the shortest route
Yes; the cache is still in place and we found it within ONE minute, just a matter of looking properly .
Yes; it is always very rewarding to find a cache which has not been found for a while .
Just to make sure it was the correct cache we checked the last name on the log scroll with the one logged online and it did match. Cache is in great condition so no need for maintenance at all!

Kyzabra and I were heading north grabbing caches along the way. This one we did not spend too much time at as there were many possibilities and we were time tight. Maybe next time.
This proved difficult. Three people looking still was not enough. Thanks for the cache.
Heading home from our northern adventures, trying for a few smiles along the way
Unfortunately no luck here. Had set myself a ten minute limit on all hunts. And was quickly used up the available time checking out the old wrecks.
So trod of defeated back to the car, nearly falling in a old septic pit hidden by the long grass.
So for future cachers beware as the description state the old building rubble and holes

2 grey nomads from Vic touring W A on a memory trip. parked camper in the big area and walked to the cache, took a little while to locate but eventually found and signed. ttftc
Parked the van in the large parking area and crossed the road in search of the Old Post Office site. A short walk later we found the plaque. Lots of old cars and bits and pieces here. Cache proved to be a bit more elusive here but a short search at GZ had us signing the log. Thanks for the history lesson Squash2.
Looked for about 20 minutes but DNF, had to head off on our journey south, thanks for bringing us to this cool place, greetings from the UK
On our way from Perth to Darwin we saw many great things and places - many of them thanks to geocaching! We thank the owners for sharing their favorite spots with us by hiding their caches!

TFTC Squash2. We did this one after the School one and noted, like Sue and Peter, that there was a white 4WD ute with a blue cover parked near and watching our every move. Thought that it may have been because we had our caravan in tow and that he was watching to see if we attempted to camp there. Anyway, set off to find the cache and found the co-ordinates to be spot on. Soon had the prize in hand and log signed.
After the strange episode with "school" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=9eb27abe-08e1-40ed-9f06-e13e29dfc909 we did not attempt this as it was closer to the muggle residence.
On holidays here with my family... Dad found this one! TFTC Squash2, I loved these old machines
We drove within about 35-40m of GZ, where Janine thought she would jump out for a quick find . Well after 5 minutes, she returned saying that she needs some help. The rest of us got out, and followed her back to the area. I followed the GPS'r until it read 'zero', stuck my hand in a likely spot, and retrieved the cache ... wow, that was lucky. We all admired the old cars for a while (DangerMouse09 was 'driving' one around at one stage), before making our way back to our rather more comfortable one
Co-ords were spot-on for us. Thanks for showing us another interesting old place Squash2 ... and TFTC
