Time to move on today as we head to the Warrambungles, caching on our way. Virtuals, puzzles, Earthcaches and some trads on an at times wet day, but not as cold as we have experienced in some recent times. It was an interesting day's travel with a variety of caches and some good things to see.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache RYLISH.**SKI Pair****
Found by Mary and David at 11:30. An interesting multi. D took one for the team and got absolutely soaked. Container was a tight fit and slippery when wet. Our thanks to RYLISH.
After a fair search we found the cache in an almost obvious place. If we had opened our eyes a bit more it would have been easier. TFTC.
bunadoorian and I used this cache as a way to stretch our legs . We were searching and about to give up when bunadoorian said found it. Just pays to be at the right angle. TFTC and for bringing this monument to our attention Danthesouthsfan.
Found It!
Interesting bit of history and a quick find here while passing by!

Out for a drive today to grab a cache for the day, and this one looked like a relatively nice drive by. After checking out the monument, I wandered over to a more likely spot and soon located the cache.

Coords were a bit off but cache was found in good condition in the area you might assume it would be. Needed to look around a bit and long grass wasn’t an issue. TFTC.
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 21 – Last day for us today our journey would be from Dubbo to Canberra. We were both well and truly ready to be home again back to the home comforts. Nice to go away but even nicer to return home. Many caching stops along our way home and this was one of them.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks for the hide Danthesouthsfan

Hunted around a little while before I found this. Where I come from this is a micro.
No trouble today, not sure how I missed it last time! Thanks for the cache Danthesouthsfan
The GPS had me in the middle of the open area, and the logical spots were too overgrown for me to make more than a half-hearted effort to search today.
Making our way to Wangaratta Mega, we created a geo trail from Maryborough QLD, to Wang, picking up the caches we can with the caravan on the back.

Took awhile to find this cache, longer than a D4 down the road did. Haha , there it is right in our faces!
Thanks RYLISH for the placement.

Returning from our "unplanned alternative to the QLD mega" holiday in the New England area, we spent last night in Wellington at the same caravan park we stayed at on the way up, and today we travelled towards Cowra.
A nice quick find at GZ. TFTC Danthesouthsfan.

# 6806 On a trip to Dubbo for a long weekend away from Canberra. It's been a while since I've managed a geo-trip so it's good to be on the road again. It's also very hot, days on the mid 30's are hard going. First stop is Cowra, then Canowindra, Molong and Wellington. I returned via Orange and Crookwell for a bit of variety.
A quick find.
Thanks Danthesouthsfan

Our 12th and last find for the day with meals 5. Interesting monument to a local landholder. Wouldn't have stopped here but for the geocache, so thanks.

#3720 A quick find after looking at the train on the side of the road. Replaced as found.
This was a adventurous long weekend drive from ACT to Wellington caching along the way with TheSkype. Muggle bro in toe. Roadside monument, TheSkype keen eye spotted this. Tftc
Found on a pilgrimage to Bathurst for the 12hr car race. Lots of space to pull off the highway with this one however I will agree that the co odds are way off. My GPS’er has me near the highway so if you have geo kids please be careful.
Found though once I stood back and thought logically.
Left a pin for swaps.

Left Blackall after the QOGM event, heading south for St. Arnaud event next month. Day 50 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 2 caches for the day and 1578 for the trip. TFTC
Coordinates way off. Once I turned GPS off and just looked close by I found it. TFTC
Found & logged while on the road, while doing the mystery in the museum.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Aargh! This was frustrating! Coordinates definitely out by 11m (as mentioned elsewhere in log), but not too far from the GZ and monument. Took M looking from the right angle to spot the cache, using his now more jaded caching eyes.
Thank you. I normally would stop for monuments like this but would have missed this one except for the cache
Thanks for pointing out this monument, I would never have stopped for it if not for the cache!
