In celebration of all the rain we've had of late, your Green cache was due to be found. With my partner in caching gram4380 we decided to brave this. We always seem braver (or more crazy) in company so it was time. We eventually found a safe place to park and made a dash for it. Soon the cache was in hand, signed and now will be _finally_ converted to a smiley. Thanks for these caches, we've enjoyed doing them (Even if it's taken a little while to get around to it.
DK and I were on a roll. Been out all morning, and this was our last one. We'd found 1 cache that had been disabled and as this was another cache we both had been putting off finding, today was the day. Drove past a couple of times to find a safe place to park, waited for all the traffic to pass and made a dash for it. Found in no time, signed and replaced and now to wait for a break in traffic. Why had I been putting this off for so long, maybe having company gave me the dutch courage that I needed, I'm not keen on caches near busy highways. TFTC
Found with stairman1 on Father's Day. Lots of traffic buzzing by. Cache is nice and dry.TFTC
A slower day today preparing for the trails tomorrow, we did some excellent caches today, 30 caches in 3 hours ,all fine finds, many thanx to all cache placers for the efforts put in, top stuff
TFTC down for the long weekend. Using averages by numbers given from each family member, I have been told that I am permitted to do 5 caches today without destroying family harmony.
Whipping out the iPhone, it decided to take on a 60 m circuit before I read the description, came out of the long grass and headed for each of the pine trees. From the road a geotrail led me right to it. Nicely concealed, but not to the seasoned cacher, which is good when you don't want to pip the kids off in the car. Left a green slinky

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day ten and the day of the actual Mega had arrived. There were a few events to get to but otherwise it was another day of caching on the local Stanthorpe area getting the final apple caches and anything else we had not yet done yet. Happily the weather had come good for the day. Thanks.

I must've taken the hardest possible approach, climbing up far too early and wending my way through webby branches for a long distance before arriving at GZ and noticing the ascent spot there... Ah well. I returned the easier way. It took me ages to actually find this as it was well under the local camouflage, and what I assume was meant to be the 'marker' had been dislodged... Anyway, suffice it to say that I did, eventually, find the cache and gratefully signed it before retreating. TFTC, Rainforest Cookie. =^.^=

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

While this cache had successfully been loaded from a 'Stanthorpe' pocket query, whereas all the corrected puzzles had been dumped I had also seen that parking was a 'touch' difficult. So tonight after realising that I still had a few caches required to fulfil another challenge I had a nice dinner, loaded a few caches on the GPSr and headed back out. Not too many cars on the Highway tonight, so I felt a lot safer parking in an unusual spot. Avoided a small stream and soon found GZ, and with good coordinates the cache was spotted @ 2121.

With logging this cache belatedly (14/5), I have forgotten the particulars on the cache hunt. But I do remember that it was a lovely afternoon. Assistance had been given by our local group of cachers for the working out of some of these final Stans Apple puzzle series.

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "VYV" to save time and log space) for another day of caching around Stanthorpe. This was a nice quick find while driving around this morning. TFTC!

A great days caching on a road trip toward Oz Mega 2015 with Team Crackers and The Coffees. Many differing experiences, some where I walked right to the cache and others where I needed to hunt around a bit. As usual I have enjoyed the various challenges set by the CO's and the fact that I get to cache with friends and am outside in the great outdoors.
Many thanks Rainforest Cookie for placing this cache .

We were in Stanthorpe attending the Mega and grabbing some of the local caches on a very wet day.
Today we were traveling around with micaparamedic and The Coffees and had a great day finding quite a few very enjoyable cache hides and leaving
a favourite or two.
We want to thank the all cache owners for their effort and helping to make this visit such fun.
To save room on the smaller logs we signed as MMCC micaparamedic, maccamob. The Coffee's and Team Crackers.
We apologise for the generic log but with so many finds it was hard to keep track.

After spending the last couple of days frantically driving around this gorgeous countryside, today was to be a leisurely day attending the Cito and Flashmob, tidying up the puzzles and collecting a few others along the way. Thanks Rainforest Cookie
Vamber, myself and Vistra (signing as VYV) knew we had to make an early start today, we had a couple of goals, to get the 10 caches types in a day for Vamber, to finish the apple series, to attend some sessions at Mega GZ and my own private one was to get 35 caches to make the Mega itself my 7500th.

After a climb to the top of Bald Rock this morning we headed back to camp to recharge the batteries with a breakfast of bacon and eggs. Once that was complete Swellerfungus, Walandor and I headed back out to grab some other interesting caches in the area. I had set my GPSr onto this one on the drive home but our route did not take us near this cache. However on the drive out after breakfast I looked down at the GPSr as we drove along to see we were only 70m from the cache. Luckily no one behind me so a quick stop and we dashed over to the cache where Walandor made the find. TFTC.
Happy Easter Stanthorpe!! Back out on the road again today with Chwiliwr and The Better half, trying to finish off the remaining Apples and lab caches, plus whatever else popped up along the way. Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie

This was the choice for the traditional that gets our 10 cache types in a day (we include lab caches!) and though we pulled up in a slightly unusual spot, I am not sure where else you would!. We quickly grabbed the cache by following the very evident geotrail....I guess that is what a mega does to a place!
Day Four of the QLD Mega saw us tackling the 10 different cache types in one day, accompanyed with yorkshirekiwi83 and vistra. Found this one enroute to picking up some of the necessary caches that we needed to complete our challenge. Thanks for the cache!
The final afternoon of mega event caching around the area, so time to get a final few finds. A bit of a drive around to get some caches and some fun exploring. Apologies for the generic logs but I suspect the cache owners are going to be buried in emails and not reading all the logs. Thanks for the hide Rainforest Cookie.

A plan was put together, very cleverly orchestrated by my regular caching partner sedgwickDave. The plan was to attempt to find at least 25 D/T combo's in a day and Qualify for the Marcus Vitruvius "The Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge" west of Newcastle. Dave had worked out there was 28 different combo's available to get this done, so together with Ice Foxy, the challenge was on!!!!
This series of puzzles was the last ones we managed to solve before heading to Mega Land, some very challenging puzzles here. Woohoo, another Stanthorpe series now complete.

Found on a rather rainy day with Phetlern while at the MEGA. Despite the rain we visited several of the local establishements as well as managing to find a few caches.
Day 2 of the mega. I was up early and headed out just on daybreak. It was a bit damp and getting damper but not so damp that I was getting saturated. I found a few caches east of the railway track around town. I had to give Xmas tree a miss as it was just to wet to stop. After breakfast I dropped bee2 off in town as she was working at a friend's shop. I headed out to the showgrounds tohave a look at teh markets and picked up a new beanie perfect for Antartic cruising. Back to the B&B for a nap and then out for anniversary dinner.
A fun filled day. Thanks for the puzzles and the grand tour of some places I had never been to before.

Weather or not! We thought it was a good idea to list caching with Alansee, on the agenda for today. Finding caches was interspersed at regular intervals with stops for strawberries, cheese, wine and cider; which proved to be a great way to dodge a few heavy showers of rain as well as satisfy our hunger for caches.
Our thanks to Rainforest Cookie for bringing us here.

Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.
Great Puzzles, Power Trails, landscapes, History, Apples!, and company. Politeness and respect by all
Many Personal records smashed this weekend First MEGA, Finds per day, Altitude, etc
[green] - Found It on Friday ... at 3:48 PM ...

Total Finds now ... 1201

Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit

Attending the QLD Mega with Skyebomonkeytown, Ali600 and Geotooter. Geotooter and I were off doing the lab caches and enjoyed finding this one into the bargain. Thanks for the hide.

Visiting the QLD Mega and apologies for the generic log. Wonderful area and a great variety of caches found. Generally, all had excellent coords and were well stocked with large log books. Many thanks to all the locals involved in setting up the mega and providing lots of challenges for us Southerners. Pity about the rain.
