Disappointed to find container has been moved with no sign of it within the designated area

It looks like the container is missing from the location. I had noticed that the previous activity logged says "they grabbed it"
Disappointing as the kids searched for a few hours.
We will keep an eye out just in case it's been moved.

We had been doing some 4WDriving in the region and decided we'd stay overnight here at this great spot. I knew there was a cache here and thought I'd grab it after we set up camp.
So up out from the creek crossing we come, only to find a big bunch of people set up camp not far from where I figured the cache would be. Straight away I figured I'd have to use some geo stealth to grab this one.
After we'd set up camp I went for a "casual walk" around with gps in hand and to my horror the thing jumped around a little and ended up settling on this idea that the cache was 12mtrs away from where I was standing....yup right next to where these people were camped.
Great, how am I going to get to right next to where they are without being caught.
I decided to come up with a plan that i'd put into action for the next morning.
So for most of the afternoon & night this cache taunted me, it flat out drove me nuts that I was so close yet wouldn't risk giving away the hide.
There was a fair bit of rain overnight and the cache crashers were up and packing up early, we were doing the same. There was no way I was leaving without this find, so after a bit of thinking and re thinking I decided to go with my first gut instinct of where this cache was and ditched the whole gps thing.
So I did a bit of sitting, a bit of thinking, a bit of looking only to have a "whalla" moment and sure enough I grabbed the cache!
I casually walked away with cache in hand to take back to camp to sign ( I couldnt risk getting caught by the 3 people loading up their car not even 10mtrs from me). Well I was so excited to actually get the cache I ended up running back to camp and laughing I said to the family "always trust your first gut instinct" after explaining where I actually found it the log was signed and then the dilema of putting it back without getting caught suddenly popped into mind.
We figured we'd wait the campers out as they were all but loaded up, so after the last car of their group left ( I think there were 6 cars) I headed back up to GZ and re hid the cache just as I had found it.
Thanks for the smiley!
Was a great feeling as we headed out of camp knowing I'd made the find & no one around us was none the wiser. We had a great laugh about how crazy this one had driven me, at the end of the day it was an easy cache but not so easy to get withought being caught!
Was a great weekend and we'll camp here again one day.
Thanks nicki2411

I told my boss about geocaching a few months ago but he hadn't found any yet. He was 4WDing in the high country last week and accidentally found this one! He couldn't wait to take a photo and sent it to me to brag that he had eventually found one!!!

#5254 We love the high country so keep and eye on any caches that may pop up there. We saw this cache come online initially.......and then go offline again. Our intention was a long weekend camping for the Australia Day weekend - a quick look and voila...the cache was back in action again (a huge thanks to evangofind for replacing the container). There were a few around Pineapple Flat when we arrived most of which were just setting up camp. Weren't quite sure where GZ might be but the GPS was pointing us to an obvious location, however it was occupied Wink. The container was soon spotted, a very convenient find Big Grin. Our thanks to nickj2411 for the cache. Cheers [^]

A nice easy find when it is actually there, in fact I hid it a bit better as it was very exposed, much like anyone who would be sitting down where they could see it. Red Face

Great location with a running stream and some brown trout fishing on offer. Spent a few days here seeing the hills with family. Will be coming back when the weather cools down.

Came here for a couple of nights camping whilst sight seeing in the mountains. Had the camp all to ourselves after the first night. Even managed to catch a trout near the crossing. Replaced the cache for CO so will claim a find! Tftc.

If this was a key holder then I found it.....laying on the ground in pieces with no magnet or log.
If it is something else then there were too many campers around to have a better look.
