Hi mar1sa

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Regards
TheCoddiwompler

Today's "Winter Warmer VII (Manawatu)" Meet&Greet event just up the road was a good opportunity to pick up some unfound stragglers in the area with SkyCraneKid (formally known as EtherBoy/EtherLad/EtherEtc) and a friend (PrincessFaery).

This one had me searching for quite a while while SCK and PF explored the bunker. Eventually I resorted to the hint, and made the find in the second search location.

Log is full, but I found a place to make my mark.

Thanks for the history lesson Helen! (and Marisa)

I'd had a pretty slack Geocaching month so far, and was in danger of not getting my normal personal monthly goal of at least 50 finds per month, so I decided to take advantage of the balmy evening weather to go back to a couple of areas I haven't spent enough time caching around before - Bulls and Feilding.

Once at GZ, the cache itself took me a few minutes to find through the process of simple elimination. Nice hiding spot, which fooled me for a while as I didn't think the Hint would have applied here. The log is nice and dry, so was quickly signed before the whole lot replaced as found.

Thanks for placing this cache.

I was pleased that geocaching brought me to this interesting location that I almost certainly never have known about otherwise. I was maybe too distracted to concentrate on finding the cache which I should have done very quickly.

I took the Battlefield Veteran trackable that I plan to relocate to the Wellington Region.

#4639. I had been planning on doing a big day out caching in the Manawatu for some months. On Tuesday the forecast for Friday/Saturday looked great and even on Wed it was still OK but by Friday I discovered you can't trust the Metservice to identify a rain band. Horribly wrong forecast with rain falling most of the day. Needed gumboots on all day long. By now I had booked a motel in Palmerston North so too late to turn back. Got rather wet getting in and out of the car to grab these caches with steady showers of rain. In the end I managed a respectable total of 65 caches. Interesting bunker. And a nice shelter from the rain. Still took me a few minutes to spot the cache even though it seemed incredibly obvious once found. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Swaybars69.

Another Saturday trip planned by D6NZ, this time starting at the Rangitikei river bridge in Bulls and skirting inland to eventually pop out on the northern side of Fielding.

KButterflyNZ yet again was the one to lay her eyes on this cache. We all signed the logged then moved on down the road.

Cheers Sway.

#1848 As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.

Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.

Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.

It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

We cached our way up from Porirua this morning then completed the KAS Trail, and the caches around the Ohakea Airbase. By that time the sun had set but we wanted to find 2 more caches ro take our tally to 150 for the day. We stopped here on our back from S @ Sanson. It took us a little while to spot the cache and we were very pleased to do so. A new personal best for caches found in a day. Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin Thanks.
Now it is time to drive into Sanson and Hunker down in the caravan park.

With an unexpected week off work, it was time for a geocaching roadtrip. I called Bchefj&p and they were also available for a mid week trip. We left Hastings at 6am and departed for the Palmy area with the main mission for today being the KAS Power Trail, and any others that we might be able to grab while we had day light. I ended the day having found 168 caches and DNFed on only 3. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements.
#160th find today Great piece of history that I wouldnt have discovered if it wasnt for geocaching. Thanks for the research and the placement.

A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.

So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!

If there was a fallout I'd know where I'd be heading if I'm in this area when it happened. A quick search revealed the nicely hidden cache, thanks for the hide.

A great day to be out caching, and 160+ finds completed with drawp. Always enjoy the countryside caches best while checking out what is happening on the local farms. Thanks to the various cache owners - apologies for the generic log. TFTC

This is our Fourth day of caching in the area, just so many caches to find so will have to make another trip back at some stage, but for today lets see how many we can eliminate.

One of many great caches found with Envy-Us on a record 160 plus find caching day in the Horowhenua and Manawatu regions. Many thanks to the CO's for the cache placements, the puzzle caches we found, the great journey we had around the many back country roads, and the many interesting places we visited. Sorry for the generic type log. TFTC.

My younger brother had a four-day table tennis tournament in Palmerston North. Rather than sit around and watch paint dry, I decided to take a caching tour of the Manawatu... Joined by Gap (of Fap and Gap).

Our last day of caching in the Manawatu... We've had such a great time visiting some heavy cache-populated trails. Now we need to find some specific caches for our current license challenge... This one wasn't on our target list, but it's one I've visited before and didn't find... No problem with Gap today. A quick find. TFTC.

Thanks for the interesting cache site Swaybars69 - I am just old enough to remember the first-hand recollections of my grandparents about WWII - and it is important that history is not forgotten so I hope the "younger generations" will read your cache and reflect on those days Smile

Out for a day of binge caching in the company of -gonefishing- with the primary focus being the KAS power trail then meeting the criteria for the 142 in 24 hours challenge. After escaping the showers in Wellington the day turned out beautiful and was perfect for the task in hand. Thanks to all the cache owners who provided a great variety of entertainment along the way.

31-May-15
Found during a day out in the Manawatu/Wanganui with Fozzmiester. Managed to mop up the KAS trail in just over 3 hours, averaging 30 finds/hour. With that many quick finds under our belt we continued on for a little longer to bring up 146 for the day. Thanks to the COs who placed all the caches we found.

My second attempt at this one. I'm sure I looked in that spot last time, but an instant find today.
