31-Jul-24
Out and about again, headed out to Toodyay to do a pre-IGD cleanup with Lachlan1.77. We saw a few FTFs appear on the map and some which had been there a few days already. The plan was to grab FTFs first then work from there which took us from Toodyay to Northam and back. After getting FTF at Cobbler Pool got a couple of caches on the way home. What a day. This cache finder number 15998 for me.Thanks to blingg for the caches I have found.

25-Mar-23
Full time nomads stopping in Toodyay for a while.

The plan for today was to tackle the caches in Avon Valley NP that only worked to a limit. Disappointed to find the track we wanted to take to some older caches has been closed again by DPAW.

Oh well we were able to find your cache before the day went downhill. Sad

This was our first for the day and we replaced the log here.

23-Jan-21
Headed out to the Avon Valley National Park with Cravo10 to find two of the states oldest geocaches. Geocache number 1 and geocache number 2 by Nissan.

We had a few others on the radar aswell today throughout the park, but they are a major part of a goal we are working towards in relation to finding the oldest caches in Western Australia.

We had a few false starts at a few different tracks as we tried to get into the quarry to get the unloved, but couldn’t find a way in, so headed straight into the National park and found a few caches and checked out a few of the campsites around which were in great condition. We got some assistance in relation to what tracks to take to get to our goals for the day so we are very grateful for the PAF assistance there.

All in all a great day out and brilliant to find some original logbooks from the very early days of caching in this state.

Thanks to the COs for their hides.

22-Sep-19
Camped overnight in the Avon Valley NP and decided to take a short diversion to this cache on the way home. Had only picked up a couple of caches this weekend as either the campsites were too busy to search... or I hit the dreaded DNF. But I did get Geocache #2 which hadn’t been found in 3 years so whoop! Smile Not sure if the blacktop has been extended since this cache was placed but it’s only just beyond it - so close in fact I drove straight past it! Having turned around I found myself back at GZ... and was happy to make a very quick find almost as soon as I got out of the car Smile No problems here, TFTC

We passed here while trying to find a legal route into the quarry caches. Certainly a case of cache blindness as it took awhile to spot and it was where we thought it would be. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Staying in Toodyay for a few days to explore the Avon Valley & the surrounds, it was decided that we would head out along the southern side today of the river today & this cache was a pleasant stop along the way Smile At first we thought the arrow was pointing over my side, so I got out to make the find! Around his side I went & of course there was only one place it could be Wink

TFTC blingg Big Grin Although we have seen these before, it was a nice surprise along the way to our next destination! Cache was in good condition.

Found it this time!! No wonder I missed it the first time. Was looking around the fence, nowhere near the actual cache!! Very clever hiding spot!

[:(!] Went camping for three days at Avon Valley National Park camping on the south side of the Avon River with geoson (Revolutio Solutio) and his family who has flown from Adelaide, also with geodaughter and her family (Owers Corner) who are from Northam, this was our last day here and after packing up and having some lunch we were then on our way back to Northam and we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and we walked in from there, on arrival at GZ it was in our hands after several minutes of frustrating searching and getting the hurry up from the geowife.

Big Grin SL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH Blingg.

Bit of a dust drive for me then took me 20 minutes to find. nice hide TFTC and TFTH

12-Jun-13
Was hoping to score a FTF, but no luck today. Found GZ easy enough, and spent a while looking around the general area. So many little hidey spots (and plenty of prickle bushes too) ended up giving up after geokids started harassing me to keep going.

12-Jun-13
The better half and I decided to go for a picnic today and headed up to Toodyay. Made a small diversion to come to this cache. Arrived at GZ and noticed the tracks of another vehicle in the gravel that stopped right near GZ so was surprised when we got out of our car and made a quick find of a cache with a blank log so was *FTF*.

Thanks blingg for the cache.
