Logs
Decided to do a bit of geocaching in the area during the long weekend. We found the coordinates and headed to GZ. We searched for awhile and couldn't find the cache so decided to head to the next one on the AAWT. As we headed back to the path, we saw a suspicious area and yes we were right! We soon had our cache in hand and noticed it had been found today already. Our coordinates were also about 20m out. This is a great spot! TFTC
After a great nights camp here on the river, we packed everything up then pulled up here on the way out to grab a cache or two. With the info gathered and the corrected co-ords plugged into the Garmin, (while the geopup stealthily ate some fresh wombat poo) we strolled across the bridge towards the wrong GZ that I had inputted, so we recalculated and headed off to the correct GZ.And thats where the fun started, as we threw a full scale search all over the place at everything that resembled the hint, until the GeoPrincess finally found it, and she wasnt the one looking for it, so there was much rejoicing as we signed our lives away in the logbook (unlike a previous finder back in February who is armchair logging caches around here)
Today is the 6th anniversary of a very sad time for my wife and I so we decided to get out and enjoy the bush to take our minds of it. This place was a perfect place to do that, a great spot for a picnic and a couple of caches. We found the clues we need then headed off. Once at GZ, nothing was to be found so looking at the hint there was nothing around that fitted so we extended our search area and soon found something to match, bingo there it was.All good with the cacheTFTC now off to the next cache
I am pretty sure I calculated the correct coordinates for GZ - they took me to a likely spot - but I couldnt find the cache. Perhaps the bushes have changed with time? I looked for 20 minutes then continued my AAWT walk.

An intresting location and history. With the calcs done made my way to GZ along a section of track done earlier. Taylors crossing was the pickup point and final day of a 6 day hike starting from Mt Hotham. It's been a awesome experience.

On a day trip from Omeo today to investigate the local surrounds and grab a few geocaches.
The Mitta Mitta was high and flowing way too fast today to attempt a crossing so it was down to hoof power to get us arount the three local caches.
Solved the clues pretty quickly and after lunch overlooking the river we headed off on our walk.
Arrived at the GZ for a search around and round in circles looking for the location to match the clue, ultimately it was MuggleWifeDoes that came up with the prize.
**Thanks for placing this cache BushwalkingBandit**

After starting out at Martin Vollers Yards on the Corrying-Benambra Road and following the Australian Alps Walking Track, 2 hours 45 minutes later I arrived at the beautiful Taylor's Crossing. After a short rest and a bite to eat I set about solving the multi and locating this cache. I knew I had a near on 3 hour trek back to the car so wasn't super keen on walking too far. I quickly obtained the necessary information and then crossed the fantastic suspension bridge and made the short walk to gz. A short search and the cache was mine. Back to the Mitta Mitta river, fill the drink bottles and head back. Lovely spot here. I will return to grab the other two caches in this area when I complete the section of the AAWT west of the Mitta Mitta. TFTC.
Found at 10.00am in the pouring rain. I had been walking aroung the high country for a couple of days, but decided to come down low as a cold front hit. I had heavy rain and wind all night. Luckily I decided not to camp across the river. I found some lovely campsites futher down the road. A pleasant walk to GZ, despite the rain. I have walked the Alpine track a few years ago and remember this area as a refuge from 40 degree heat. TNLN, Thanks for bringing me back here again. K&M.

After completing the AAWT in 2004, it has become a tradition of sorts over the last 6 years or so to revisit a part of the track at some point over the warmer months. This year I decided on Taylors Crossing, so after saying goodbye to the family after spending Christmas in Nagambie, I headed here for a couple of Days of hiking and caching.
After finding Into the Morass and halfway, this was next on the list. I was a little unsure reading other logs that this may be a little hard to find, but after working out GZ over lunch at the river, I decided since my car was incapable of the crossing I would take a bit of a walk to see if I could find it. Well, GZ came up with nothing, so I expanded the search grid and using the hint, came up trumps I would suggest future finders deduct ~12 from Their South coords.
Many thanks to BushwalkingBandit for the cache. TNLN.

Found while camping nearby at Taylors Crossing. So now we have followed in the footsteps of the bananas, The old blokes , riddell and the rest and took the trek out through the alpine national park to find this one. The co-ords were easily solvable and the container was easily found. The Co-ords for this one were spot on! Thanks for the cache BushWalkingBandit!
After we got the FTF on Kennedy Hut we decided to solve this easy Multi Cache too. The final was a bit tricky because the GPS leaded us off. Anyway we have found it.
Thanks for showing. Tftc

Found while supporting a friend who was doing The Australian Alps Walking Track.
Worked out co-ordinates at home before we got there.
We were walking the AAWT from Cowombat Flat to Limestone Creek.
Once we set up camp, it was off to find the cache.
We are going to say the cache was 30 metres from its indicated position.
The clue helped.
Sorry we didn't log the new co-ords for you.

Walking along the Australian Alpine Walking track with two muggle mates. We finish early in the day walking so I have plenty of time, but not much energy to find caches that are nearby to the track.
I also found the cache about 20 metres from where the GPS said. TFTC.

Turned up here today as the illegal fishermen were setting up to catch some early season spoils some 6 days before the opening of the season. They looked guilty.
At 6° this banana had arrived in a tshirt. They didn't realize that a tree had fallen across the return path on an earlier conquest. But with no decent tools in the car it took nearly 2 hours to cut through the tree with some adhoc plastering tools. Sweat had been pouring out every orifice all that time.
This story was passed on.
They did know about Geogame and told B1 to look at Kennedy's hut across the river as this was close and obvious.
Politely our GPS was used without telling them.
Now this hide is made to be found and although the bananas did take their pretty time to do so our equipment pointed some 30 meters from where it was found. To many logs.
But it was found next to the hint about 13 meters past the 2nd marker and with chainsaw marks.
Wish we had one of those chainsaws earlier in the day.
