Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache " Brotherhood's Bunker " has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page†and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks,
embi

Very pleased not to need the spider gloves for this cache. In fact this cache was incredibly easy to find. Unfortunately it was sitting out in the open - I spotted a plastic container with the caching instructions. It was also completely empty Sad. Took the container with me, and will leave it with Smurf if you'd like to retrieve it.

This cache is no more... it has ceased to be... [XX(]

Cache disabled, while I decide whether to replace it or not. The cache had been found by non-cachers before, so there may be no point.

Cool This is a nice one. Took a while to find even after I got there.

Took the Kalgoorlie postcard, left a large washer.
The tyre valve had fallen out, so that was replaced.

Thanks Team Unicycle.

Found by ThomasS, MattS and WilliamS. Strange place, what is it supposed to be? MattS and WilliamS had fun running up the ramps onto the roofs. No swaps this time.

Excellent cache! What on earth was the bunker designed for in the first place?

It was a really wet day. I'd hope the Brotherhood was waterproof or the people below would need snorkels!!

Cache was dry however, slightly ajar. Needed the 20 bucks to buy a decent umbrella, but it was not there.!!!!

Tried to find some info on this type of bunker on the net. Some nice info on bunker types at http://www.winterwar.com/M-Line/BunkerTypes.htm but no Brotherhood.

Took nothing, left nothing. Maybe the next person can bring 2 new rubber bands. The cache needs it.

John

Its also pretty full and I didn't have anything small enough so I took nothing, left nothing.

Thanks Team Unicycle...

Had a look at the cache tonight while I was in the area, and found it in clear view in it's hiding place. I found the following entry in the log book, undated, but after Piggy's:

My name is Damian. I wanted a cone & found your game. I took it but put it back. Good luck people!

Well, thanks Damian for putting it back. I hope you enjoyed your cone.

Well this was harder than we expected. Our team was revamped (Hopefully for the better). With the help of our Sniffer dog, Jess, we walked to the location and it took us 15 minutes to find it. We searched in a nearby toilet and found a porno mag but I (Leigh) found the case. There was nothing worthwhile taking from it so we just put in a Scott Muller card and a Ricky Ponting Card. After we left we saw some cops go into the site with their torches :O, hopefully somebody didn't report us for snooping around at night!

YAY NORTHERN INVADERS! Cool

It is so amazing how we all drive around this town with our eyes closed! Could all caches please have _toilets_ in the future. It was so nice of you to supply them for us as well as a cache spot!! Smile)

Took and left nothing

Half the team went on the chase for this one. The teen in the team was the one to find it. I was starting to look further afield. We took a mini-doll and left a car tyre valve. Thanks to Team Unicycle.

Mary & David found this one at 1740 as the light was fading. Coords were spot on! With GPS showing 0m, looked in the adjacent spot and there it was. No spiders in evidence either, luckily. No exchange made. Thanks to Team Unicycle.

After Freddo saying its not what you'd expect, Team GeoCoopers became curious to also find the answer.
We consulted the magical data source called the internet and abracadabra in under 10 seconds we had the answer ...

Heard about the bunkers on the radio yesterday. ABC Ashley Walsh. Didn't think I would visiting one today.

I wonder if all of the suburban ovals have a bunker nearby. The radio program said that the Glenelg bunker will be open for tours this weekend.

As for the brotherhood I wish I listened to that radio program more closely. I could suggest the Brotherhood of Returned Services Leagure or the Brotherhood of St Laurence, but I don't think that they are right. I might as well suggest the Brotherhood of the National Trust. I am going to do some more rsearch.

Found by Team GeoCoopers. Picked the location before we even left home, from the WWII clue. I've been researching them for the huge multi-cache I'm planning. Left a ladybird, took subway card to get lunch.

We had never noticed this before despite having travelled past many times. Couldn't figure the Brotherhood - took nothing and left nothing.

Found by Liz and Bruce. Somewhere you drive past all the time but never really know what it is. Anyway found the cache quite easily - the spiders were not at home. Took nothing left nothing.

Found it on a brief break from work. A couple of skateboarders arrived while I had the cache contents spread out but they assured me they would leave the cache alone. They then tried to use the sloping bits as a skate ramp, unsuccessfully - too steep and sharply angled.

I have driven past this place many many times and never noticed it before. It is obviously WWII but what exactly? My guess anti-aircraft ammunition store (Gun Family connection?). As for the brotherhood? I found no reference to it at the site so I do not have a clue.
Thanks Guns

Got 'im ... needed a quick distraction from trying to write an essay for uni, just the ticket!

Didn't need a glove in the end ... although one will be required if the cache doesn't get regular visitors Smile Took the thai bracelet, left a full Subway card.

Thanks Team Unicycle!!
