Sorry - have had all sorts of developments and didn't get around to do this. Will archive it and if no one else has put a cache here when I get organized I will put another one here.
Haven't had a chance to check out why this one keeps disappearing so will archive it and later in the year check it out again if no one else puts a cache near here.
as just mentioned, will check out later when have more time and decide what to do about this cache
finally had a quick look and didn't find it. will disable until I can get back and look better and either say aok, replace cache or archive.
Will check it out hopefully by the end of the weekend - tube is 4 inches long, not in diameter
Didn't find the cache despite crawling around under the bushes. I don't think I could have overlooked a piece of 4" pipe.
sorry, due to circumstances have not been back here yet. will replace cache by June 8 if not before
Bivouac Junction now has new owners who didn't know about the geocache and I couldn't find it on the weekend. Maybe it is there - there were a lot of people around so I couldn't get a really good look. I will make up another cache and get it out there sometime.
the name of this one intrigued us so we took the detour off our route. No caretaker in sight, looks like a restful spot for a stay. I simply loved the sign at the office " If you want to have a party or to make a noise please tell us so that we can kick you out" ! Nice easy cache, thanks.
Blackbeard picked this one up today on a cruise to Charters Towers with burgo78. TFTC.
On parking near GZ the caretaker greeted us and we chatted about possibly taking our caravan out to this spot to stay for a while. We then got talking about geocaching and he said he knew about it and where the container was. He keeps an eye on it and makes sure it doesn't get muggled. TFTC
A quick find and then the caretaker wandered over to see how we got on. He mentioned that he's getting a couple of cachers a week in looking for this one. Hope he is getting some business out of being good enough to have it here. Thanks.
Today we arrived into Charters Towers
A variety of caches found as we geocached around the area.
We had wanted to visit this location as a few friends have camped here. So we were glad to find a geocache here.
Thanks for placing this cache

Quick find after talking to the lovely manager lady. Would have liked to stay here maybe next time we are in this area. TFTC
Although we have been staying on the bank of the Burdekin for the last few days I have yet to see a croc. However we came here , asked permission to seek and found the cache.
all good I see there is a new page for cachers to sign.

Find #205
So, I decided to go for a drive this weekend.
Headed out from Mackay on Saturday and headed for Clermont.
Not enough so went to Charters Towers and stayed the night.
Done a few caches in Charters and then headed for Townsville.
Stayed the night and headed home on Monday.
Glad it was a long weekend.
Do NOT try this on weekends. I think half of the regions population was here.

Easy find, there is not much room left on the log book and a large group of us so, youngest member of the group decided to sign us off as team G.C. (guns and cupcakes)
We have been spending a week in Charters Towers and grabbing some caches while we tour around.
Today we spent some time caching around Dotswood and surrounds. We were very surprised to see this lovely campground when we arrived...obviously being enjoyed by several folks parked up with their various rigs. Several peacocks wandering around the site....according to the caretaker there are apparently about 300 of them
We had a lovely long chat to the caretaker who knew about the cache and roughly where it is but came along with us and we were able to show her exactly where. All in excellent condition.
Thanks again for the hide Rusty410[^]

Day for a trip to Charters Towers to have a look at the town and to do some caching.
Did not clear CT completely, realized that I would not do all the long multi caches today, on top of that I had some DNF.
Had a nice long chat with the gardener, he also knows about the cache. 80+ years and still going strong in body and mind! hope I will be the same
Thanks for the cache

A great spot to stay, we feasted on fresh fish and red claw both days that we were there, but we didn't see that pet croc. TFTC.
Hi there Rusty410. We found your cache "Is your pet croc under control?" at 11:32:00 AM today.
This was our 5th cache find in a caching run of 11 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9780.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014. Our route today took us to some really wonderful & scenic locations.
we managed to tour around the place, and find the cache, without arousing too much suspicion. [/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Party Popper.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found while camping at Macrossan park. Collected travel bug that had not been logged as being here, and left a casino chip.
Thanks Rusty410 for bring us here.
Wombat the Anthus laptop Geocoin visited, as did Runciple's Grasshopper, a mammoth who wants to see sheep, a slovak geocoin and a bumble bee

Awesome place great camping spot kids loved swimming in river and fishing. Look for flowers
Found while on camping weekend, walked passed it during the day but too many muggles around for pick-up, returned for a successful find under cover of darkness. TFTC.
10:42:00 AM. Turned off the highway while on a day trip to Charters Towers. After finding the one down the road we continued on in. What a pleasant surprise and a place we will return to when work finishes to do some fishing. Found the manager and told him what we were up to. Had a chat and declined his offer to show us the cache. A quick find by the better half. Thanks Rusty410 for placing this cache.
Lovely camping spot. Stayed a couple of days. Cache ok, log a bit wet but could sign. Tftc
On our way to Charters Towers this cache was on our path so could not go unfound!
We approached the GZ with care as there were several people camping nearby. While the Bear provided some cover the Cat quickly made the find and signed the log before we made our semi stealthy withdrawal.

Took a few minutes wondering whether to look in the shrubs, rocks or nearby trees. Geopartner and I stepped a few meters away and the different perspective made it obvious.
What a fun cache this was. After checking in at the office and enjoying a chat we found the cache in the obvious place. How dry it is at the moment can't wait for the rain now the crushing is over. TNLN TFTC
We did't find it, but Didn't look to hard, because people have rolled rocks all over the plants and it felt a bit conspicious
muzzled the croc and grabbed the hide[^]felt like eyes everywhere .sl .tnln.TFTC
The pet was under control but the geokids are another story. Stretching out the last few local caches now so had to make do with fifth to find. Straight to it so had a wander to river and contemplated where we could pitch the new tent one weekend. SL swapped stickers and a ball for fridge magnet and mining sticker. TFTC Rusty 410.
Today we are leaving the east coast and heading inland on the Flinders highway.
That would have to be the roughest road to a caravan park that we've ever driven on.
Cache was an easy find, and all muggles were indoors as the day was quite warm.
Thanks for the cache, Rusty410.

Found at 9:44 AM GAFF1. We were basically camped across the road last night in Macrossan Park and when we looked at the map for the caches that we were going to do the next day, this additional one suddenly showed up. What luck - a brand new cache just a few kms away and no one has found it. So we went to bed and then in the morning checked in and still no one had found it. What is it with CT cachers? Too busy at work
We drove into the lovely park - much better than where we were staying, however we did have a better view . We suddenly saw the sign and got the joke. However we are surprised to have learned that there are crocs around here!
Thanks Rusty410.
