The final cache for the morning before returning home. I had been here before but with no success. Spent ages looking around here again, only this time I went further in than last time. I would say long pants are ideal with all the spiky plants around GZ, I believe that is what put me off searching further afield last time. After about 30 minutes of being adamant of it being in a certain area, I was getting ready to call it quits when I decided to expand the search area further, then I spotted the little blighter well tucked away. Only thanks to the flash of white of the lid. Great little skull too! Thanks kitwalker13.
Admittedly it was raining a lot so we didnt have a super thorough look, but being across the road from where we are staying we had to give it a go. So many animal tracks and hiding options that we werent lucky finding the skull cave today. Thanks anyway.
I came up from Brisbane for a few hours of geocaching while my husband had a work event at Marcoola. Ive just realised that I put the wrong date on all of the logbooks - 6th instead of the 5th! I used previous photos to make sure I was in the right spot, and then once I went further in, I saw the cache on the ground, and then the skull. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
After tracking deep into the Jungle and watching out for Head Hunters was able to find the cache just where I thought it was going to be in the first place. Thanks for the cache.
We tried our best. Vegetation is very overgrown and we were reluctant to trample anything (or walk in barefoot).
We are on our annual migration from Melbourne to catch the sun over winter, we are staying at the Maroochydore Holiday Park.
I noticed this cache on the other side of the river and thought that that would be nice drive out there and have a look Dog Beach, no wonder it’s called that as there were many dogs having a great time along that stretch of beach. Found your cache in good shape, just a bit of paper for the log which I signed and replaced. TFTC kitwalker13

Quick find didn’t see a skull or a cave though. Assuming I found a replacement because the container was very different to the photos.

After an intrepid trek through the jungle, geoson was to scared to enter skull cave. Geo mum armed with a big stick beat back all the scary stuff to find the treasure.

Couldn’t see it within a few mins of looking and wasn’t to keen to trample too much vegetation. Not sure how far in it is
Two explorers went into the jungle barefoot. With fear of causing more damage to the vegetation and awakening some local eight legged friends we left it with DNF
kitwalker13 I found your cache The Skull Cave on 20/11/2022, 12:00 pm. This is my find 4444 and find # 2 today. Found it after a brief search. Logbook saturated, replaced with a piece of paper in a snap lock bag. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Inspired by the name and the cache owners handle I trundled along the beach. Good coords put me spot on GZ and a brief rest to allow the eyes to adjust and I spotted something out of place. With the speed of lightning and the strength of ten thousand men I struck - whilst too wet to sign the log - this ghost still walks. TFTC
It’s a bit sad to see the amount of trampled down vegetation in this vicinity. Coastal dunes are pretty fragile, I feel caches in these locations need to be very obvious or relocated elsewhere.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled north to Coolum to attend the CITO event as part of Clean Up Australia Day. It was surprising to find a fair amount of rubbish in amongst the dunes. After a morning tea, we took a hike nearby to the top of Mount Coolum, where we found the sun beating hard down. We progressed southwards towards Mudjimba finding a few geocaches, and then headed back home via IKEA North Lakes.
We parked at the end road car park, and after reading the geocache's description, we took a beach track, and then walked along the beach until we were perpendicular to GZ, where we then headed towards the cache. As we got close, I read back through the cache notes, where I managed to half-spot a rough geotrail, but I still had trouble locating the cache. After going back through a few past logs and photos, I then had another look - The cache's outer camouflage initially fooled me. Unfortunately, it looks like it has become detached, and the logbook was completely saturated, so a TLC visit is required. Thanks kitwalker13 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

We picked up a Poke bowl for lunch and headed to the beach to let the geodogs, Gypsy Girl, Teeny Treek and Mini Michi have a run and a swim. The beach here is beautiful with soft sand and warm water. We were able to sit under the cabbage tree and eat our lunch, and once we had finished, we went looking for this cache. We found the cache easily enough, but the log was a mushed up mess and we were unable to sign it. We have photographed the log and the skull and sent it ti the CO. Thank you kitwalker13 for this cache.
Found although the log is too wet to get out of the container, so I have taken a photo and sent it to the CO. Cool though. TFTC
Logbook is sodden and can’t be removed from the container. The skull has become separated from the container. Tftc. Very cute
Log is wet I pressed dried it and put my name in it. Needs a new log. Tftc all is good Phantom said good day
After battling the poisonous pygmy people, I persevered and found this creative geocache. TFTC, couldn’t sign wet log
This was one of the two caches that have sat unfound on my map on the north shore now for years.
Today was the perfect conditions for entering the dark jungle canopy and make our way to the waterfally sounds of the skull cave.
I even brought along another log to hopefully replace the sodden one i read of in the logs.
Imagine my dismay to discover at gz, an entirely different sort of container that certainly couldn't fit anything i had on hand.
Luckily, i was sporting my yew beat space pen and made swift work of the wet pulp with my flowery autograph.
Good luck if you don't just so happen to have a pen that works underwater.
Thanks for the fun, the ghost who walks!

Found. The log is saturated and I’ve left my repair kit at home. What a lovely day for a walk on the beach. TFTC
My last cache for a while, while I fight fucking cancer. Good location, great to be on the beach. TFTC.
Great find... Container a little smaller than expected... Log book soaked not able to write on it...
Quick and easy find for this one. Interesting container! Not seen one like this. Logbook soaked unfortunately. TFTC, beautiful spot!
Logbook soaked with all the rain lately, didn’t have anything on me to replace with.
Quick easy find. Log is wet.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here kitwalker13.

Found it. It was an adventure as stated in the clue, we found the entrance into the thick jungle and proceeded with caution. We knew this would be dangerous as we had already had to sacrifice one of the children to the deadly pirañas of Eden island (we still had two more to serve as a distraction). As we entered the skull cave the poison pygmie people attacked after a long bartering conversation we had to give up another child to continue. (Fair trade I say) At last we found the skull.
Thanks for the great description we loved it. Keep up the good work. TFTC

Goodies found it yay all is good here log a little wet but still was able to sign the log.
My GPS was taking me around in circles, but I didn’t want to miss this one. So I abandoned the phone and went with common sense. Hang on a minute, what’s that doing there? Bingo! Gotcha. Favourite point from me for the location the hide and the beautiful view. TFTC
This one definitely took some looking but found it in the end! Log was a little soggy and we didn't have a pen on hand anyway.
Love the skull cave. Beautiful part of the coast. Log was a bit damp but otherwise all was in good condition.TFTC
Finally got this smiley after visiting a few years back when it was missing. Enjoyed a sunset walk with geohubby WallabyTim and Zelda the WoofyWanderer. TFTC
Staying at the nearby resort and decided to check for nearby caches. Hurray there's one within walking distance! Walked all around the jungle for about 20 minutes with no luck. Sat down to review some past logs and photos, and before long I located skull cave. TFTC and my first for 2020! Happy New Year.

Thankyou

Spending a week at the Sunshine Coast and doing a lot of Fat Bike Beach riding. In-between times there is always a cache or three to find as well.
After cycling from Sunshine Beach down to the Maroochy River it was time to pick up a few caches on the return journey.

On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the log sheet is small we may sign as CG. We also visit any trackables that may be travelling along with us for mileage.
Lots of thanks to kitwalker13 for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

I was in the area to find the older cache nearby and decided to finish the day off with checking this one out as I was parked nearby.
I was going to walk down the wide track but I saw that it was fenced on both sides and I knew that I would have to climb the fence to get to the cache so I decided to take the direct route and then stumbled on the other track near GZ. The cache was in the second place I looked. I then took the easier route back to the car.

Had a muggle and his dog just behind us so walked past this one to the beach. Checked out yet another incredible beach and was tempted to lay in the hammock but no, geocaching called and we returned to GZ where the cache was quickly found.
Going to give this one a favourite point as we suspect the camouflage may be hand made.
Thanks.

While camping in the area with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and find a few more caches ...
