This is my favorite arena because my children marched with the Marching Maroons on this field. See dshawk post for pix.

This is the building where the UNK Lopers have an indoor track that XC ran on for four years and Tracker ran on for eight years. We both graduated from the university in May of 2005.

This is the Fort Wayne Komets Hockey team in IN USA. They belong to the UHL and play at the memorial coliseum.

This is a new stadium called the Liberty stadium which has recently opened in Swansea S Wales UK.
It is home to rugby, football and will also be used for athletics.

This stadium is the home of the Lake Highlands High School Wildcats. It is special to us because geocacher +1, our daughter, is a math teacher there and was just named one of the top 10 high school teachers in the State of Texas. We are proud of her and of this school's impact on the community. The stadium is not only used for LH Wildcat games. It is also used as part of the World Cup Soccer playoffs and at that time is lined with international flags, an awesome sight.

Part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, along with the Continental Airlines Arena and the Meadowlands Racetrack. Home of the New York Football Giants, the New York Jets and the MSLs New York Metrostars.

The Giants played their first regular season home game here on October 10, 1976 against the Dallas Cowboys. There was a a sellout crowd.

This is the home ground of our local Australian Rules Football Team - the Mitcham Tigers. It is Walker Park in Mitcham (Melbourne), Victoria, Australia. Interestingly, while Aussie football is a winter sport, most football grounds are used for cricket in summer and the distinctive goal posts are removed during that season, yet I notice in one of the photos I took that they are still in place (in December - well after cricket has started).

Silke Field in Springfield Oregon is home to not one but two area high school teams, the Springfield High Millers http://millerfb.com/ and the Thurston Colts http://ths.sps.lane.edu/sports/football/ . It is easy to know who to root for when they are playing all the other teams but who gets the support when they play each other? That will hopefully be solved nest when the Colts get a new home of their own. The Colts played their 1st game on a field without seating on 9/2/05. Secretly I favor the Colts....slightly.

I didn't know if you wanted a picture from inside or outside of the arena so I got one on the inside with Sabretooth! He took my GPS and looked at it, pointed too it as if to say, "What is this?" This municipal arena is run by the city of Mt. Clemens. It is home to Adult and youth hockey leagues and The Mount Clemens Figure Skating Club. The arena offers lessons in hockey and figure skating for many in the area.

The arena also houses a fitness center with the usual equipment including free weights
Nautilus equipment.

Constructed in 1994 on 5 acres of land, the Arena features two NHL-regulation size ice surfaces and a 5,800 sq. ft. lobby.

The newly constructed Eastern KY Exposition Center (www.eastkyexpo.com) is destined to become the home arena of the local Pikeville College Bears. Go Bears!! Tonight though, Kenny Rogers and Rebecca Lynn Howard have the stage.

This is the home of the Ottawa Lynx baseball team (Triple A). It was built around 1991/1992 when the franchise was awarded. Originally known as Lynx Stadium it later became Jetform Park. I'm not sure what the corporate nom-de-jour is now.

This is an arena lotated in Fleurimont, Quebec, Canada. This one is special for me because this is where my son Jeff won the peewee regional championship in 1992.

This is the BT-Arena, home of the Mjölby Hockey team, Östergötland, Sweden.

Shhh Dont tell my husband, but this is the arena of my alma matter ASU, Sun Devil Stadium where the ASU Sun Devils play football. It is also where my most hated team makes their pathetic attempt to play football: the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards are probably the worst pro football team in the US. My husband prefers to root for the opponent to the Sun Devils: the Arizona Wildcats. Go Sparky and the Sun Devils.

This is the Omaha Civic Auditorium in downtown Omaha NE. It is home to the Omaha Knights AHL hockey team. The Civic holds a special place with me as I saw my first (of many, many) concerts there.

This is Carver-Hawkeye Arena. It is home to hawkeye mens basketball, womans basketball, wrestling, just to name some events held here. It is mostly underground, with only the floor around the top above ground.

Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria is one of the largest Rugby stadiums in South Africa. It also double up for local soccer matches if no Rugby takes place, usually on Sunday's. The home team of Loftus Versfeld are the legendary Blue Bulls, owner of many national and international trophies.

This is Commerce Bank Park on City Island in the middle of the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, PA. It is home of the Harrisburg Senators minor league baseball team. The stadium has often been under water, but the team consistently rises to the top of the Eastern League. #81

This is the "Hermann-Neuberger-Halle" in Voelklingen (Germany), hometown of my favourite handball team HSG Voelklingen. Hermann Neuberger was born in Voelklingen and has been president of the German Soccer Federation (DFB).

It's the entrance to the stadion of the "fc judenburg" my hometown soccer-team.

I have played, coached, or watched 100's of soccer games at the Cohocton Sports Complex over the past 10 years. Wonderful facility with great soccer every fall.

This is Eriksdalshallen, which is the arena for Djurgaardens IF Handball, playing in the Elite division. Djurgaardens IF is the outstanding most successful sport club in Sweden with almost 400 championships – the last one in soccer. However, in handball we have so far only a silver medal.

This is the main gate to the local football team "Start" in Kristiansand, southern Norway. Not very impressive you might say... The stadium is not the most modern and there are plans to build a new one within few years. The team Start will tomorrow (on 291005) play the last game this season and, hopefully, they will be the best team in Norway by the end of the day! That, in comparison to their stadium, is VERY impressive though, as they didn't even play in the best league last year!

Favorite team? Well, I never did like basketball. Baseball is a little boring. Professional football is a waste of my time. College football? Heck yeah!

As an alumnus and a current staff member, I am a huge fan of Longhorn Football. The Texas Longhorns are the mens collegiate football team for The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. They play in Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium. How fitting it is that I logged this locationless cache: a.) the day the Longhorns moved ahead of USC to be atop the BCS rankings, and b.) that I met Mack Brown, head coach of the longhorns, today at a local campus eatery. Too cool!

Multipurpose sports center "Glanerbrook" in Geleen, The Netherlands. Home of several teams but my favorite is the local ice hockey team Ruijters Eaters.

That one is very close to our house. I've seen hockey players like Simon Gagné (Flyers), Dagenais, Ribeiro and Dandenault (Canadiens), Thibeault (Penguins) and more perform there. It is now the home of the team Saint-François de Sherbrooke of the Senior AA league.

The Multiplex in Vernon, B.C., Canada is home to the Vernon Vipers. The Vipers are a Jr. A hockey team that co-holds the record for the most national championships. Age 16 to 20 yr old young men compete in a provincial league. I've had season's tickets for over 20 years. Go Vipers!
The Multiplex has a International size ice surface and holds 3000 spectators with future plans to expand. It took 14 months to build and sits on a 7 acre property at the north end of town. This is the Sir Woolf Fisher Arena in Manukau City,New Zealand.It is the sometimes home of the New Zealand Breakers Basketball team,which plays in the Australian NBL.

Minute Maid Park. Houston Astros. We were at the game on this day on the club level. The Houston Astros were playing the St. Louis Cardinals. History was about to be made, because the Astros were going to thier first ever World Series. They had the Cards down 3 games to 1, in a best of 7. We were ahead by two runs and there were two outs in the top of the 9th inning. Pujols was up to bat against our best closer. Down two strikes with the pitch on the way, I thought to my self. They are really going to do it. I have been an Astros fan al my life and was really into the moment. We took this pictures right before Pujols hit the ball to the glass above the seats. The crowd got quiet and now we were down in runs. We were caching that day and got to go to the game at the last minute. Even though they lost I'm glad that we went. We ended up beating the Cards the next game in St. Louis.

This is the arena of Tranås Bois bandy, named Bredstorps IP. Bandy is the national sport in Sweden, in my point of view. It is played on ice with sticks and a small red ball. The field is about the same size as a football field.

This arena is used by my favorite high school ice hockey team. The holy ghost firebirds play at Grundy Recreational Center and Arena. This building was erected in the early 1900's and was completely refurbished about 5 years ago. The original walls and marquee were cleaned and kept. The name of the rink was renamed Grundy arena located in Bristol Pa located on Grundy Avenue.

This is the Ruhrstadion, home of the VfL Bochum, Kiki's favourite soccer team.

It was built between March 1976 and July 1979 with a total capacity of over 50 000 spectators. Nowadays, it has a total capacity of 32 645 spectators (seated capacity: 16 756 spectators).

This is my high school stadium located in Temperance, Michigan. It is used for football games and track meets. Anyone is free to use the facility for exercise. Our mascot is the "Kicking Mules". I graduated from here in 1987. Thanks.

The "small gym" at Hunter Huss HS in Gastonia, NC is the home of the girls' volleyball team. It was my favorite team for several years, while my daughter was the coach of the team. I spent many pleasant afternoons in the gym watching my daughter and her team compete against the other county high schools. My daughter recently left coaching to start a family and the team had another successful year, advancing to the state playoffs, which start next week.

This is home to our hockey team, the Louisiana Mudbugs. They are about to get started going again for the season. OH YEAH!!!. We also have some NBA games here too. TFTC

North Bay, Ontario's Memorial Gardens is home to the Skyhawks of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, and the former home to the Centennials of the Ontario Hockey League. We miss the Cents but happily cheer for the Skyhawks. Go Skyhawks.

This arena is located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. My son plays hockey here. It called Clareview Arena. He plays for a St.Matthew Hockey team. My favorite team is the NHL team Edmonton Oilers.

It´s my favorite arena where ice-hockey team of town Litvinov (HC Chemopetrol Litvinov), Czech Republic plays home games. This ice stadium take name for Ivan Hlinka, that began here with ice hokey playing.

This is the Carrier Dome on the campus of Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA. It is the home of my favorite teams. Both Syracuse University football & basketball call this arena home.
This is the largest on campus dome in the country. We regularly lead the nation in attendence for our home basketball games.

The Eastern Oregon Mountineers (college) and the LaGrande Tigers(high school) play football here. It's called Community Stadium and is located in La Grande, Oregon.

Griffin Park - home of Brentford Football club. It's one of the smaller London clubs. At one point it wanted to relocate (serious money to sell its space for redevelopment) but local opposition put a stop to that. http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/

The Albuquerque ISOTOPES of the AAA Pacific Coast League play here. The stadium was rebuilt in time for the 2003 season - the Albuquerque Dukes formerly played here. The new Isotopes are the AAA farm team for the Florida Marlins. The AAA season is over now so got am picturing the exterior of the stadium.
