In the area for a couple of hours and just mopping up some lonely caches I had not found yet. There were some kids nearby but paid no heed to me. I was nicely sheltered under the big tree. Found the cache nicely tucked away and signed the log, back into the snug for the next finder. TFTC

Had to pop up to Brisbane for my 16yo daughter, and had about 3 hours to kill, so was able to grab 13 finds, including this one. Some pretty nice hides. Thanks to all cache owners fir hiding and maintaining their caches.

Not what I expected but a quick find. TFTC.

Out on the bikes again with T-Tech Big Grin This time we rode from Kangaroo Point to Norman Park and back in just over two hours.

One group was making use of the park area, but we were far enough away to be unobserved. T-Tech spotted the hide while I was still wandering around Razz TFTC, teamoota.

Out for a bike ride this afternoon with IolantheK, From Kangaroo point Cliffs to Norman Park and back [^]
Found this one within a minute of arriving, although we were both a bit surprised it would last long where it was.

Arriving at GZ I spotted something which should not be were it was, could that be the cache? No, possible just half of the camo. The rest, together with the bison tube, was found on the ground. I put it back where I suspected it should have its resting place.

13-Mar-14
To continue my current streak of finds, I snuck out after dinner and ventured over to the darkside to grab a cache.

No problems here. Don't know why but I always feel like I am doing something wrong - creeping around in parks like this one after dark with a torch, hoping that all the neighbours don't spy me.

Thanks for the cache, teamoota

another early morning (and my early i meant 4am) start to the day
and again we head into the city
FastEd and I want to turn it into all smiles before the G20

was quite tricky to retrieve this one
combination of been pushed right in and all the angry ants at the doorway

used some tools and finally got the prize

03-Mar-14
This one took longer to retrieve than it did to find. Think I upset the guardians as well, but they didn't bite.

Log signed and cache replaced. But back the other way, so to make retrieval easier.

To be or not to be, that is (not) the question....Where is the cache? is the question. Ah there it is! We came, we saw, (we gathered the geokids) and we went.

23-Dec-13
Parked right at this one. Geokids were happy to have a play!

We were in town today for a doctors appointment for our daughter and Geo Wife had to accompany her.

I was just the transport so Geo Wife gave me her blessing to go off and grab some caches which meant we would save on parking fees as well.

I chose this area with a nice group of caches and easy parking so I was hoping for a good run.

There was absolutely no one in the park today so I had a free run except that the GPS decided to go funny.

I was sure of the general location of GZ so I put the GPS away and searched.

Soon afterward I found my prize and another smiley on the map.

Thanks Teamoota TFTC SL

Nice easy cache once muggles had moved on! Tftc

28-Sep-13
A detour on my walk from the train station to ferry terminal. It's Riverfire fireworks tonight, and the best way to get there is public transport and by foot. Hence a great opportunity to stop here.

There were quite a few suitable trees around but the compass took me to a specific one. A little circling around looking for potential hides revealed something lucrative. Fingers in, and the container was out in the open a few seconds later.

All good here. Signed log, tucked the container back, and it was time to continue towards the ferry.
Thanks, teamoota!

Found this cache whilst out with fangsoki and la kedi after a very early morning event under a bridge nearby. We parked close-ish to the cache and wandered over. La kedi had the cache in her hands without too much hassle at all. I commented on the very sparkly spider webs on the grass which hurried the cat back to the car. Thanks for the cache teamoota.

23-Sep-13
We hit up this cache after Little Mr Sleepy with a geo virgin friend of ours. Following the gpsr to the GZ I back tracked 5 steps and boom, there it was, winking at me! SL and walked over to RAAF no. 38. Tftc. Oh yeah cache #100!

23-Sep-13
I had planned a route of caches to do after the Dawn Mob event and this was first. We were off to a good start with this one and we set off in convoy to demolish some more. Lovely suburbs around here.

23-Sep-13
No poet to be seen just after dawn today as Fangsoki, Net88 and I rolled up quietly after a nearby event to collect a few stray caches on our maps. I offered to recite one but my companions demurred - no culture at all! Made a reasonably quick find and rolled off again just as quietly. TFTC, teamoota. =^.^=

23-Sep-13
Out with Aussie Liahona, KarenHippo and Bristracker grabbing a few caches after the Dawn Event.
Pulled into this one early and so all was quiet in the neighbourhood except for the dogs of course.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks teamoota Cool All good with this cache

23-Sep-13
I had just attended an Event around the corner and decided to accept an invitation from La Kedi and Net88 to joint them in grabbing a few caches.

We pulled up "down the way a bit" and moseyed toward GZ. I was a bit blind with this one as this cache wasn't in my GPSr - but the ladies had it sorted. Miss La Kedi found the cache after a small hunt.

We signed the log in the quiet of the morn and then returned it to its home. It was in good condition. A very nice little park - and a nifty little hide! TFTC teamoota Smile

23-Sep-13
Out caching with Aussie Liahona, Bristracker and Team Benders after event this morning. Nice hide. TFTC

23-Sep-13
After attending the event this morning literally at the crack of dawn, several of us decided to go find ourselves a few caches. Karenhippo, Bristracker, Team Benders, and myself took off and came upon this cache before most people were at work today. We had the area of GZ to ourselves and the find was made quickly by Bristracker. Many thanks teamoota for the cache which was found in excellent condition.

Day 1, second cache found - woohoo

09-Sep-13
I selected this cache for my find for the day. My 49th day in a row for a find.

I found a nice shady spot to park and looked at the playground to see that there were muggles there. Also another muggle was approaching from behind me with a stroller.

Originally the GPS was directing me close to the playground but I resisted the impulse to move closer to that area. Luckily the GPS changed its mind and put me in a more cacher friendly area. It wasn't long before I spotted the little blighter.

TFTC.

06-Sep-13
Had a day off work so decided to spend it Geocaching in the Norman Park/Seven Hills area. For most of the day I felt as though there'd been an apocalypse and I was the only person left alive on Earth, it was so quiet. No Muggles, perfect for Geocaching. Smile

A couple of Muggles across from GZ, but they seemed intent on their laptop so I took the opportunity and was rewarded.

TFTC teamoota.

Finding myself in this part of town with an unexpected amount of free time I decided I should probably go find my cache for the day. Luckily I had brought along my handy dandy IKEA lamp as it was pitch dark in the park tonight. A quick flash of my light and I soon had the sneaky hide in hand. Signed the log and replaced as found.

TFTC teamoota Big Grin

Somehow managed to walk around without spotting the hiding spot. Also got placed out a bit so reversed the general effect cover has and found myself walking directly to something shiny.

Nice easy find, thank you.

When I arrived this afternoon with Junior Gunnie, the location was closely inhabited by some chain mail wearing, sword carrying types... Hmm, I was about to say to Junior how nerdy that was, but then I remembered what we were there for... Wink

I told Junior I would need her for cover and we hopped out the car. In to GZ, I circumnavigated the area and eventually located the neatly placed hide. Log out and signed, I tucked it away then took a fake phone call as I worked my way out of the area. No sideways glances from the ancient ones, we shot through.

Cheers teamoota.

14-Aug-13
Attempted this one at night. Thinking I might be here a while searching for a cahe that size, luckily a telltale glint from my torch led me to the cahce in record time. Tftc.

I was heading east and thought Istop in to see if the cache was still in its original spot. the park was quiet busy but gz was in a quieter part of the park and I got a park a few metres away.

First one tree and then a couple of more before returning to the first for a closer look -and there it was.

**FTF**

The notification came through while we were out celebrating our niece's birthday.

As dinner was just finishing up I leaned over to Geowife & asked her if she knew where this was.

After looking at the map she new exactly where it was & asked all the kids if they wanted to go grab the cache.

All the kids jumped in the car & after a quick attempt to log the position into the car GPS (giving up) I headed off in the direction I had thought.

- Nope wrong way

So back to the phone - log into Geocaching app - right off we go again.
(Not liking the new update to the phone app - where is the compass.......... Grrrrrrrrr)

- Nope still not right.

Finally I have got my bearings & we are off to find it.

Arriving at the park I do a quick drive by thinking I was on the right side.
- now at the time going for this was a good idea but when we finally arrived I realised that all the torches are in the caching bag which was at home. Oh we'll phone torch it is.
Walking close to GZ but still trying to find the compass on the App.
Right found it here we go girls.

Arrived at GZ......... Hmmm now which one.

- Nope not that one

Hmm right climb up there & have a look.

- Nope not up here.

So Mousey suggest a new location to climb...... Ok I'll give you a boost.

Flashing the phone around......... There it is.
Can you get it......... Yes but it won't come out.

Thankfully I was able to reach up & grab out the log.

All signed log book returned & tree monkey down.

First FTF for Kat&Mouse........ Well done girls.

TFTC

*Please note: Kat & Mouse is our niece's geocaching handle, Keeley is our other niece & her muggle friend Sarah was with me when we found this. Hence why all names appear under the FTF log.

Only 10 minutes between the FTF (congrats Jimmyproject) and my log, however two names logged between ours. I didn't see any other cachers during my visit.

I had to wait in the shadows until a drunk man left the area before looking for the cache which was around 8 metres off the coords. Then to my dismay I found it had been screwed into a living tree. It was also quite visible.

The CO should be aware that the Geocaching Placement Guidelines specifically prohibit damage, either intentional or unintentional, to both public property and the natural environment. This reflects badly on all of us and could get caches banned from public property and parks.
