We think we know where it is but no luck for us today - we did find some empty hooks. Thanks anyway Moneydork
Barmera Carp Fishing comp gave us a reason to cache around the lake today. Beautiful area. TFTC
Came here yesterday and knew where the cache was but I was not able to get it. Today I came back with LLL51 and it still took us quite a while to retrieve.
We managed in the end aided by a geo tool found around GZ and with some dexterity we managed to coax the cache out of its hide. Signed the log then had fun replacing it exactly as we had found it.
Thanks for the cache and fun Moneydork.

Pretty sure I could sèe it, but as a 50 yr old on my own I wasn't prepared to risk it.

Headed to Kingston on the Murray for the Easter weekend what a lovely spot. Lots of great geocaches to be found on our quest to reach 4000 caches.
When I realized where it was had to get geohusband assistance. Great spot and another lovely tree TFTC

Alice trip 2017. Day 3. My third day of lone travel and it took me from Renmark to Burra via Barmara. A real mixture of caches today, including a great walk by the banks of the Murray near the border. I could not visit this cache as someone was camping right at it.
Thanks.

#6322 - 08:30; Day 4 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune. We are now headed from Barmera to Burra via Overland Corner, Waikerie, Blanchetown and Morgan plus a few other smaller towns. Decided to start the day by collecting a few caches along the shores of Lake Bonney. We headed down to GZ on foot from the road and after a quick inspection, referred to the hint, which confirmed my suspicions about the location of the cache. It was a tight squeeze, but I made it and the log was duly signed. A favorite for a few reasons. TFTC Moneydork
On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n. We headed through Hay, Mildura, Loxton, Burra before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed.
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

Sorry for the late log, we misplaced are log notes from the last road trip, Nice location, TNLN fav point from us
Found on the Jan LWE as part of another quick break at the beautiful Lake Bonney. Came across a muggle walking back from one of the caches and he asked what I was doing. A quick explanation and he accompanied me to several more actually finding them for me. Needless to say he is now hooked!
OMG if I could fav this using my ph app I would!! Made me feel like a was 10 again! Thank you so much!!
I was there at the right time but it was too cloudy for a good sunset. Favourite point from me.

Camping nearby with friends, we managed to find time to stop off for this one. We spotted the cache on approach and the kids soon had it all under control. Grabbed TB. TFTC Moneydork!
Found at 14:39 with Olga.
Nice cache, and a good climbing tree
Thanks Moneydork

Brodie, muggle partner and I were at Berri for an event yesterday at our 'home' for the weekend
Today was head for our real home day and I was supposed to be back in Adelaide by 6.30pm for a meeting but at 8pm, we were just leaving Barmera
There was just too many great spots to visit and caches to find
All up, 40 caches for the day (well, 40 after we had been to bed and slept ) and the last 2 were FTFs which required a small (about 20km) detour from our journey home.
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
Having had a DNF here about 3 years ago when this cache was first published, it was great to have drier weather and a tall muggle partner here today to make the find
Well, I spotted the cache camo but he made the retrieval
We replaced the cache and some natural camo too so that it isn't quite so visible anymore

Had a great day caching around Lake Bonney and surrounds with
Mr and Mrs Froghoppin. Mr Frog was up to it faster than you could

Found myself in SA for other reasons this month, and McPhan agreed to join me for the trip back. The main purpose was the Yorke P geoart, but we finished these faster than planned, so had a relatively leisurely day around the Riverland heading east. We'd been though here several times over the years, and had largely cleaned the place out. Some great caches today, the product of an active caching community.
Sorry for the relatively generic logs, but after 900 caches in 6 days, I'm largely relying on the GPS record.
Thanks Moneydork for the cache.

10091 and 80th of 90 found today.
Apologies for the generic logs. I usually try to write at least something different for each find but with 900 finds in 6 days there are a lot of memeory gaps.
I appreciate the efforts put in by all hiders and the maintenace as well. The efforts of South Australian cache hiders is why this is our 5th SA Odyssey - you keep putting them out and we'll keep coming over. (Power trails help to okay [:o)])
Riverland is a great area and having friends in the area helps too - and many thanks to Steve and Michelle for putting us up.

Our adventure cache of the day .
A bit of a walk around had a plan of attack worked out and the cache in hand .
Nowhere near sunset, so found a comfy place to sit and signed the log [^]. TNLNSL.
Thanks again Moneydork.

Found with geo-uncle on our way to Overland Corner Hotel. Staying at the Lake Bonney Caravan Park for our 31st year in a row.
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Great place for a hide. Our fav of the day
Thanks for the fun Moneydork!

Nice hide had fun retrieving this one.
An adventure is always fun when you add in a cache along the way.

Was a Bonney spot last time we were here and always wanted to revisit the area, but today the lake was grey and choppy and very uninviting. The wind was that strong that it was blowing foam over us as we looked for this cache. The hide was sussed out by Mrs Beetle but as Mr Beetle is the better monkey he made the actual find. A great cache that deserves a favourite point. This one should stay safe for a long time. Thanks.
Found. Then decided it needed a TB so did it again. Tftc!
Beautiful spot to rest a while!

TFTC, will be back another time to photograph sunset from here, just stunning and well camouflaged cache
A good climb to find the best sized log book that I have seen for a long time. I will return to this site to photograph the lake and it's surrounds hopefully in the best light. tftc
This cache was visible from the ground, but being over 77 years old my old body just wasn't able to make the climb. Will ponder on this problem over night and maybe can come up with a solution. A sky hook!!
Normally I wouldn't attempt these types on my own just incase but today I said what the hell. Managed to get up there and grab it fairly quickly and get down without injuring myself. Nice spot.
Sorry for the late log I have fallen a bit behind in logging.

Found with messy61 and geokids StunkyPanda2006 and gnomeo2007. Good view from cache's hidey-hole. TFTC.
It was getting quite dark when we arrived at this location. It was left up to Mr DoubleHelixClan to do the honours. TFTC
Great hide. But slippery in the rain.
Did not sign the log. Be back another day to sign and swap

Great hide .... Best hunted in the evening when you can catch the amazing Riverland sunset over Lake Bonney as well.
First find of this type for us - the kids were quite excited when I retrieved it.

Day fourteen of my holidays, travelling from Port Augusta to Renmark, picking some caches along the way to break the journey. Found most, but missed a few. Beautiful spot for a cache. In the heat, the heat, I was sorely tempted to take a swim.
My thanks to Moneydork for the cache.
My thanks to Moneydork for the cache.
I rolled up,
Rolled up,
Rolled up !!
To GZ in the geomobile around lunchtime
A nice sandy, lakeside spot [^]
And after a couple of minutes had found the cache
Or should I say "Found the cache !!" [:o]
You rotter !!
Well it isn't a 'smiley' without a scribble in the logbook, so I paced around for a while with a 'fizzy thinking cola' in paw to work out a solution to my dilemma.
I tried scrambling, but kept slipping back down or getting stuck !!
In the end I MacGyver'ed me way to a find
When in Bamera, do as the locals do ....
.... fish !! [:o)]
A lure on the end of a bendy fishing pole did the trick
TFTC and a break from the drive bys !! [^]

The lake was looking particularly beautiful today.
Found with the WAFF group - teams [blue] Waldron & Astro, four-fun and Freddo [/blue] on a weekend full of fun, dust, plastic, and clear blue skies. The boys used their combined geo-skills to locate and carefully replace this cache and some of the others nearby.
Thanks to Moneydork and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Now camped up at Plush's Bend for a few days it was time to head back towards Barmera to find some caches and explore the area.
Some very interesting history and some awesome scenic spots that Geocaching took us to today. [^]
Thanks for the cache and for helping us explore this area
