Headed to Riverland for a day of caching plus some maintenance, but stopping here for the cache, I forgot how much warmer it is up here. Enjoyed the mini series for a well deserved geocacher. TFTC and series Trigger_Fish.

The original plan was to head to the Argadells north of Port Augusta but the logistics simply didnt work out for us.So its Plan B, the Riverland So here we are, The 3 Stooges, WayneAPN (or as we call him That Numbers Guy), weredunn4 ( Mr Adventure) and myself are hitting the Riverland for some targeted high T caches, plus many many others along the way.Suffice to say, these are always great trips away with heaps of banter, dad jokes, tons of crap talk, but best of all, the camaraderieAll caches found and stamped. Any caches needing maintenance, we did our best to restore them to good health whether that be an additional log or new container. Thanks to all the COs for the caches we found this weekend, without you we dont have this game TFTC

The 3 Stooges are at it again. Out on the long weekend hunting caches. We wanted to head north for some high T caches that required a 4WD, but it didn't quite work out, so an alternative plan was hatched. The Riverland.Aimed for some High Terrain caches and caches that have been unloved for some time, years in fact, and with very few finders. Some were quite tricky to solve and took a bit of head scratching and a few other body parts.Plus, some others of interest along the way.Always great trips away with heaps of banter, dad jokes, tons of crap talk, but best of all, the camaraderie, and home made cake. All caches found and stamped. If some caches required maintenance, this was done. Thanks to all the COs for hiding and publishing these caches. Made for an adventurous weekendTFTC SL

Find # 15758Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 5. After a cold night at the Maggea Oval.. I was off on another days hunting. But decided to turn things around as I started in Loxton (after getting supplies) and tackle the trail backwards from original plan. TFTC Trigger_Fish

Day 4 of our initial "grey Nomads" trip heading north for 4 months. We departed Echuca and after completing some Vic LGA's, crossed into SA and headed north to Loxton and set up at the caravan park for a couple of nights.

As much as we would love to clean up all the caches in the area, we physically could not do it and still get to the JLWE event. Decided we would tick off SA LGA's and focus on the OYB series to complete our DT grid.

Plans went astray first up as we headed out the next LGA, and decided we couldn't really go past all these caches on the way to the OYB series, so made a few selections on the way back towards Loxton. Criteria was passenger side, geocachers we knew personally, and fav points. That went astray as well I also added in about every 5th cache

Anyway, this cache was found quickly and placed back as found.

Heading to Karoonda and surrounds for some geocaching. My first visit to this area so huge amounts of unfound caches waiting for me.

A large assortment of AMP, Wandering Heros and independent caches tackled. The caches found were selectively chosen either to fill missing cells in my 360 degrees from home grid (5 times around) or due to favourite points.

Lots of different cache owners meant lots of different cache containers many with unique themes which made the day very enjoyable.

Thanks for the cache Moneydork.

Today the JAMS crew was out and about to complete the Wandering Heroes series. JJ52, mogni, Sir Spectre, tallbikestan and I met at the crack of dawn on a predicted hot day. We worked great as a team to find the remaining caches of the series as well as a few caches before it and a few after it. I was mainly the driver today and I filled up the car at Murray Bridge before the first find and from then on I didn't turn the car of until we had done finding and headed back to Tailem Bend, when we got to Tailem Bend and had 4kms of fuel left which added a adrenaline rush to the day. Thanks to all the CO's and the cachers that are a reason for another find. The JAMS crew hid a JAMS cache today to add to the series.

Today I headed off on my camping trip to the Riverland, just the one night away. A lot of gear to load into the car but us old birds need their creature comforts.
The plan was to ‘finish’ the WH and then continue on to Kingston for the night. I don’t think the WH will ever be finished but gave it a good crack. Also found a few other caches along the way but as always still lots to come back for.
Found 80 for the day, didn’t leave home as early as I’d hoped and had to be at camp by 6, never mind.
It was perfect weather for caching, cool and cloudy. No scary wildlife spotted. Lots of dnf today.
Thanks to all the CO for placing and maintaining caches for me to find. At this end of the trail there were lots of cachers I haven’t come across before maybe one day our paths will cross.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
So today we headed out with Rapidlywild to try our hand at some of the wandering hero’s caches. A lot of these caches need some TLC they are in a pretty bad way.

Thanks for the hide in this series Moneydork

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. Today the teams all split up and went our seperate ways for the remainder of our journeys. Today myself and FurfacesLL decided to do some Wandering Heroes caches, it was a long and at times frustrating day. A number of the caches have fallen victim to the environment and are very brittle, to the point they just fall apart when touched. The entire series could really do with a major maintenance run. We ended up pulling the pin on the series and chose something different to do for the following day.

Thanks for the hides Trigger_Fish Big Grin And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

Mr Tardis was on his way home from a big day of caching around the Riverland. I thought I'd clean up a few Wandering Heroes caches on the drive home.

This mini trail was nice that it had it's own dirt road away from the main road.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Moneydork.

Sorry for the late log, I'm finally catching up on logging - one advantage of the COVID-19 stay at home policy!

Travelled up to NW Victoria with feathertop to spend the next 3 days caching in the area. She proved an excellent driver and companion while I was the passenger. We tackled as many of this series as we could before arriving in Loxton to prepare for our big day tackling the On Your Bike series. Then completed this end after a big morning.
All the caches were found successfully and in good condition.
Thanks to all the cache owners and congratulations to the heroes.

After a long morning on the bike caches and then the fish puzzles it was time to do a few wandering heroes. I was in the great company of 6Hinemoa2 and together we hoovered up over 200 caches on this trip without any dnf's.

out with mogni, allister w, JJ52, CP Wanderer, Clare007, and Gizmos Gang for the day. We meet up at sedan and went and got some puzzles on the way to the target caches which was the geo art " bike " wherigo series. Then headed down to do the wandering heroes fishy tales and then on to the tail end of the wandering hero's trail. All caches where found in good repair and only one needed a extra log sheet.

Today we formed a small team to tackle a section of the Wandering Heroes series between Loxton and Karoonda. It was an early morning start today, and the four of us, FeatherWaite, GoodLook, @gridge98, and I, agreed to stamp the caches with a 'thumbs up' emoji stamp to save room in logs and for our ease. It wasn't a bad day to tackle this series, with blue skies and the sun out allowing us to run in/out and look for caches. Some may argue it was too good of a day to be stuck inside a car for half the time. There was a bit of banter in order to take our minds off the significant number of cache finds for the day.

Several caches were replaced due to their various poor states. Some containers had barely survived the test of time, and there didn't seem to be too many damp logbooks. Several detours were also had off the main road, and the caches at these sights seemed more interesting than the randomly placed heroes caches. Some were in good shape and creative, but most seemed to be the standard Sistema container. Thanks to all who had placed and those who have helped to maintain the current containers.

We spent some time looking for this one. We found a painted rock, but still the cache alluded us. Eventually we made the find, and can see a bright new logbook that had been recently replaced. Cache and contents were in good shape, cheers Moneydork.

Anyone say Power Trail?!

Today I was out with the boys to finish off what gridge98 and I had started many months ago; joining us was FeatherWaite and DavidWazza. All of the caches were stamped with an emoji thumbs up stamp to save room in logs and for our ease.

We spoke to CPWanderer before venturing out and took a supply of various sized containers with us to replace those that were cracked/broken/missing. The section from Karoonda to Loxton should be fine for some time now

It was a sunny and relatively warm day - a boost to our health and wellbeing. I packed healthy lunches and snacks for all to enjoy and caching we went. We had a great time and shared lots of laughter.

Thanks to Moneydork! [^]

Out for the day with Davidwazza, GoodLook and featherwaite to complete the wandering heroes caches north of karoonda. All the caches are in good condition as we replaced the ones that were broken and needed replacing. All the caches were stamped with a thumbs up () stamp for convenience. Was great to chat about the different heroes along the trail as we went. Thanks to all the COs for their placements

Found with Davidwazza, GoodLook and gridge98 on a mission to tackle the Wandering Heroes Trail with each of us in various stages of 'completion'. Started at Loxton and worked back towards Karoonda replacing a few soggy log books and damaged containers along the way. Also took the opportunity to detour off the series to locate other nearby caches, resulting in a very entertaining and rewarding day's caching. Thanks for the cache Moneydork!

Apologies for the late log. This was my final day of an epic four day caching trip to South Australia and this was the toughest day of the lot. It was 40C in the Riverland and the hot, dry and dusty conditions made it tough going. My original target of caches to find had to be toned down and aim for a more realistic number for the conditions. I kept at it till mid-afternoon and called it a day after 107 finds. Main targets were Wandering Heroes caches and a few others along the way. Having done the Fishy Tales geo art I was heading back to the main highway here. A nice diversion to try this series along the side road and I was pleased to add this one to the list. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and your contribution to this series Moneydork.

I'd arrived at the start of this little tribute to equipe de cinq a little later than I would've liked. As this is my first time in Mexico as a cacher I really don't know anything about equipe de cinq or their hiding style. After having found #1 I could see that I might be a little challenged to find them all in the late afternoon however I persevered and did indeed find all of them.
Although the first couple were a bit annoying having come off the Fishy Tales tribute puzzles I soon was in sync Razz with the hiding style and a couple brought a smile to my face as I experienced the whole searching, searching, searching....bang it's in front of my face feeling.
Thanks for putting these out Moneydork. I look forward to returning to middle-western Mexico in the near future for S.A. power trails.

Firstly apologies for my generic log but this is #47 of 63 attempted caches today. 60 ? and 3 DNFs . We are heading to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter using the back roads from Canberra in an attempt to get to my next milestone in time to achieve the great looking souvenir. Today helped a lot but there's still a long way to go.

Many thanks to all the COs for placing these caches which helped me build towards my goal.
It was an incredibly hot day so really enjoyed getting back to the caravan in Loxton.
Signed or stamped all logs, sometimes as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.

Decided to take a Sunday afternoon drive to complete our assault on the Wandering Heroes. It has taken us quite some time, but we have finally found all the current caches in the series. I'm sure we won't be able to say this for long as there always seem to be new ones popping up.

Unless otherwise noted, we found your cache and contents to be in good condition.
We really enjoy our trips along the Wandering Heroes trail and find it interesting to read about each of the honoured cachers and their exploits.

This was a nice little mini-trail off the main road. We replaced the logsheets for numbers 8, 5 and 2 as they were full or damaged. If the CO would like the old logs we have them.
Some of the remaining logs are nearing full and may need replacing soon.

Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

Traveled to Loxton early in the morning for a random geocaching adventure with my partner Lord Rossatron. We had an extremely fun day, didnt realise the Mardi Gras was scheduled for that day though! We did the caches around Loxton that we could get too and then headed 20-30km out of Loxton and started grabbing those caches!! We found 100 caches in our one day of caching in Loxton, we were pretty proud Geocachers heading back to Mildura at Night.

15-May-16
Sorry for the somewhat generic log. After taking 8-9 months to find our first 200 caches, we planned to travel over from Mildura for a day trip and knock out 100 caches to take us up to our 300th. We left at 7am and got back again around 8:30, If I counted correctly, we achieved our goal.

A great set of 10 hides, the first few were the typical scenario where I would go take the lead and find the cache, about midway I handed over the gps to Peach who usually either stays in the car or walks behind texting. It was great to see her take over and as the caches went on watching her slowly get more comfortable with it and had her finding them before I did. That is worth a fav point from me just there.

Having based our holiday around achieving 150 caches in a day, in the company of DAB, we set off early Sunday morning to fulfil a challenge sitting in our home town of Geelong. Camping in Loxton it was easy to start at the top end and work our way down the Wandering Heroes series and grabbing all others in our path. A fun day was had by both teams as we wandered down the hwy, appreciating all the well deserved dedication hides to our fellow cachers.
**Thanks very much Moneydork for the hide that helped add to our numbers today.**

03-Apr-16
Today was the day that two caching teams joined up for a challenge,The_Tritonz and DAB. We had set ourselves the task of 150 finds in a day. Luckily we achieved that number and then some !! We started the day very early and concluded in the late afternoon. While a good percentage of the finds were from the "Wandering Heroes" series, there were other hides in the mix. We found mysteries, traditionals and multis. We were spoilt with the landscape and plenty of photos were snapped.
There was plenty of laughs throughout the day and the weather was perfect. Being from Victoria, we were very impressed with not only the number, but the quality of the hides. Thanks to all of the CO's for an enjoyable but tiring day !! We can't wait to return here. TFTC Moneydork Smile

Black is the colour of the day.

First our apologies for the generic log.

This week our days off happen to be Wednesday and Thursday so we decided that it was time to finish off the Wandering Hero's trail for the third time. I had not realised it was such a long drive to Loxton from Kaniva but once on the road we were committed. With 60 odd new Hero caches and a few rogue ones along the way we had a good day. We had neglected to remember how much fun it was to start the car for the next cache and just as quickly saying "stop", how long will it be before we need to "finish off" the trail again. SL TFTC

After visiting my brother in Murray Bridge I am now actually heading for Queensland for the Mega and picking up the rest of the Wandering Heroes series that I didn't do yesterday and also a few others caches along the way.

Had another very good day and had no problems with finding any of the caches.

Thanks Moneydork for the cache.
