Cache has disappeared again so I presume someone doesn't want it there. By archiving it it will give another geocacher the opportunity to place a cache somewhere else at Cherry Grove
Couldn't find this one looked everywhere but nothing. Till many, many Muggles staring to arrive whit their nice canoes, amazing place tho.

We are running around checking out Taumaranui. Stopped off at Cheery Grove for a short walk to get this one tagged. Cheers
Day 17 - Sunday 29 December. Taumaranui through to Hawera today. So lets go!!
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Interesting to see this cache is now archived - we did find it, and Taybeedragon does not note that we replaced it, so it was there. Alas I remember it not.
I have lost my notebook! When I go on a geotrip I record my finds and notes in a log book or, in the case of this big circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki that Taybeedragon and I did over Christmas, in three notebooks. And I have lost notebook number 3 - 29th December onward. Luckily I enter the caches as found on the GPS (helps with avoiding backtracking) so I am using my GPS log to identify which caches I found/DNFed. Alas, however, no cache notes. So I am relying on memory and it is now March - it's taken a while to catch up with logging. A fickle thing, memory. I suspect most will have no notes above. Sorry, folks.

Easy find while son's dog had a run around. Cache was easily spotted so made sure that it was protected by some stones. Thanks CO for the cache.
A nice spot to stop for lunch and to let the kids burn some energy. A nice quick find. Tftc
Passing through this area doing the Te Araroa Trail so thought I would visit this spot. Very nice. Tftc
Very quiet here this afternoon with only a few muggles in cars so it was good to search without any muggle worries. It was a quick find once at GZ. Thanks for bringing me to this very cool place.

We found a key holder with geocache written on it among the rocks so I guess that replaces the systema mentioned in the clue.
Cheers and thanks for persisting with what sounds like a difficult site. it must be grand here when the cherrys are blossoming.

My daughter was taking her son down to Taumarunui to stay with his Nanny. I tagged along and to make the trip worthwhile we did some geocaching on our way home. Had 8 lined up and had 1 DNF. #2 I got to this one first once I sorted out the GPS. Went down to river afterwards and watched the ducks but we didn't feed them. TFTC
Once we found the right rock he had cache in hand. beautiful area not far from main street
Enjoying this beautiful park before we go on our rail tour this afternoon. Cache was found without any problems and all good. Tftc Size 13
Easy find and sign but had to admire the view for a while until a carload went away. TFTC

Today we will do some canoeing on the Whanganui River. We will begin at Cherry Grove, that is where we are dropped off. Before take off, I went first to the coördinates of this cache. I liked the idea to start and end with a cache.
The cache was a quick found, thanks for that!

I have spent a few days in Taihape with rustynz caching around that district, now it’s time to head home but not without several caches along the way!
There was a car close by but after carefully looking I could see no one in it so the coast was clear to do a search of this cache. It was well hidden too by the previous cacher. Never been to this park before, a nice place.

Found it but wrote 5/01/19 instead of 6 on log. As muggles showed up I did not get it back out to rewrite date. TFTC
#6391. I am on my way to Auckland on a road trip. The family decided to go north by train to take in the scenery. That means I have 2 days to get there and no complaints when I stop for any caches. Life is sweet. Stayed overnight at Taumarunui and now picking up local caches before heading north. Came out to Cherry Grove and parked nearby. A few muggles were around but none near the GZ and all were busy having picnics. Soon spied the nicely tucked away cache. Unfortunately the log was soaked to a pulp so had to remove it and go back to the car to get a replacement log sheet, Signed the new log and returned the cache as found. Thanks Size 13 for hiding the cache here.
Not quite sure what to make from the last maintenance log - we found the container in place and managed to sign the log - just. Logbook is soaked and hardly useable. Nice area, TFTC
The Central North Island, Day 5: National Park - Hamilton - Auckland
It’s Christmas Day, and the end of this incredible journey through the North Island. Today’s weather was quite a mixed bag with some rain, some sun and some wind. This didn’t dampen the mood though, as we drive North through King Country and Waikato to get a sampling of the history of the region. A very productive day throughout, despite the weather, and a great Christmas Day!
The following is the specific log for each cache:
Came by here to admire the town’s grove, and for a couple of caches. The cache was easily found, though it was very very wet and could not be signed. Peeked at the confluence of the rivers and headed onwards. TFTC!

The Rock Grab has been moved by DoC to their Ohinepane Campsite about 22 kms down the river. This campsite can be accessed by road as well as the Whanganui River
TFTC.......staying in town for the night as we explore New Zealand. We love this area, such nice scenery. Visiting from Sask. Canada

After starting out early this morning, heading towards Hamilton for a hopeful caching weekend and decided to get a few caches on the way. This was the third of the day not long after the sun came up. The weather was very foggy quite dangerous driving, but wanting to get caches so kept going. After reading the description and previous logs and once parked nearby thougt i knew exactly where it was but when i got out of the car and looked at my gps soon realised that was in the wrong direction, approached gz from the correct route, Quick easy find at gz today, hint made it easily found happy to sign the log, replaced exactly where and how i found it, thanks for the cache.
Heading towards the next one, keeping the fingers crossed for a great easter weekend. Happy Easter to everyone.

On the road for our first venture into the North Island with our little caravan to explore this part of the country. It is not a caching expedition as such, but we do manage to stop for one or two . We’ve been on the road now for 36 days since arriving in Wellington and are now on stage 2 of our trip – ‘The Crossing’ – from the East coast to the West coast. We arrived in New Plymouth, via the Forgotten World Highway from Tauramanu, Rotorua, and Whakatane. Stage 1 was the East Coast, Gisborne, Mahia, Wairoa, Napier, Cape Kidnappers, the Wairarapa, Cape Turnagain and Cape Palliser. We’ve had a variety of weathers, but mostly ‘good’, although a few days have been a bit , Hola was a somewhat of a ‘no show’, thank goodness. We have already seen and discovered lots of interesting things about our country that are new to us. Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled across the island, many thanks, Size 13, for bringing us here. We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we travel on our way. TFTC.
A quick scout before we head off on the wanganui River journey tomorrow. Thanks for the cache
Michaelteacher had found this last year around April. Came by on our road trip to pick this up and reduce the difference in out number of finds Feels weird signing the log without writing both our names! Tftc!
A good reason to go for a walk to somewhere that I have not had any reason to visit before during stops in Taumarunui.
Loitering muggles had both of us a little wary, but with the few pretend photos we made the best of it until we could sign the log and hide it again.
A quick find while out for an evening walk. A pretty park with quite a few muggles. Able to log discreetly. Tftc. MattyH from Tassie
Was in open I moved close to building and put back were some small rocks had been tossed.
Starting point for a day trip in the canoes. Wonderful day down the small rapids and beautiful landscape. Also a nice stop at the Lavender farm. Easy find underneath Santa Cat.
The cache was gone so a replacement was left between the big rocks and covered with some smaller rocks.
Out visiting BeccaBrock and we decided to get a couple caches. I was letting her dog tow me around a little, she was keen to go visit the people closeby, but we got caching to do ma'am!
TFTC Size 13, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 7 today, making this find #1639

3232 Down towing a trailer of furniture as my brother had just bought a house and was moving in. After unloading we grabbed a cooked chicken and some bread and came for lunch. While munching on my sandwich I checked my phone and saw this was 40m away, Shot over and grabbed. Noticed that the log had been signed by a muggle but returned to its hide. thanks for the placement.
I found this geocache in the company of Cats&Dragons, HKCB and Kyb3r. We were together thanks to Cats&Dragons who had organised another one of his infamous Geocaching ‘missions’. The goal was to pick up a bunch of T5 caches along the Wanganui river via speedboat. We met at his place after work on Friday night and headed out into the night taking the kind of detours only an overachieving Geocacher can appreciate on our way to Tamaranui which is how we ended up here. We signed the log HOAC to save on space and as a reference to our crazy trip together. We did eventually get to Tamaranui at about 4am after Geocaching throughout the night. We pulled the car over, got maybe an hour and a half of uncomfortable, disrupted sleep, and then set off again to meet with six other Geocachers from Hamilton and Auckland who were joining us on the boat trip. It was certainly a memorable trip.
Glad for a quick find, given it was 4am and I was looking forward to some shut eye.

This has been a trip that has been planned fro a few weeks with the prime objective to Jet Boat down the Wanganui River fromTaumarnui to Pipiriki the following day, but firstly we had to get there. On this trip we were heading to Mt Damper, through to "The Forgotten Highway" before heading back up to Taumarnui to clean that area out.
So setting off after work in the company of HKCB, iammrwalker and Kyb3r we headed down this way to eventually make it cross country before thinking about a bit of sleep. Signed the log as HOAC to save valuable space in the logbook
Spirits were high, concersation rediculious and plans made for future trips. By now on this trip we were deffinatly on our own and the place was all ours (it would be hours before we saw another car, and infact we only saw 3 vehicles between turning off SH3 and when we finally made it sleep time at 4.30am).
Nice quick find here although it seemed that some other was also considering sleeping in the car. Its now 4.00am and we have arrived in Taumarunui so just a chance to collect a few caches then some sleep. so far driving 300kms and been awake for 23 hours at this point.
A big thanks to all the CO's who have placed and maintained the caches in the more remote parts of New Zealand.
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

We had planned a trip a few weeks ago to Jet Boat down the Whanganui River, something that had been on my to do list for a few years now, and the time had now come to head down to Taumarunui and jump on the water. However while discussing this with C&D we decided to throw in a side mission and try and locate a few caches along the Northern end of the "Forgotten Highway" including Mt. Damper Falls and finishing with a clean out of Taumarunui the night before because as C&D constantly reminds us "sleep is for the weak!".
So we set off at 5.30pm Friday night, with Iammrwalker and Kyb3r in tow heading to the first cache of the trip. This side mission turned out to be very successful with us completing everything we wanted with a few hours of darkness left to grab an hour or two of sleep before making our way to the Jet Boat. We signed the logbooks with HOAC a group caching name we use from time to time. A big thanks to all the CO's whose caches we found on this side mission.
Nice and easy at 4am!

A busy little spot here late in the day due to dogs and muggles walking about the area. There was a man in the building so had to do some stealthy manoeuvres to retrieve. Signed log, then had to take the cache for a walk before replacing due to the man leaving the building. Cache back in place, safe and sound, ready for the next visitors - TFTC!
Went to the coordinates. Found a sistema lid and a rock in what would have been the best hiding spot. Didn't find anything hanging. Have pictures of both. Tried to attach them. Hopefully works.
Edit: Apparently that was the remnants of the cache. Score one more! tftc

Cache replaced 26/04/17 in the same place. Read the updated information on this cache as it has just been edited. Happy caching.
We found the cache spread out in the gras. I put all the peaces together and I placed it where I thougt it has been. The paper is wet. Greetings from switzerland. Tftc
This was such an awesome find, I love this app as it is something my eldest step son (10)and I bond over him his siblings even gave up a swim to hunt for more! hehe, they loved the thrill and the fact that you could swap taonga's so we have to make sure we have a taonga to swap for the next one. TFTC.
Staying the night in town so had a chance to explore some of the area and find a few caches. Quick find on a very hot day - tftc
Camping in Taumarunui today and doing the crossing tomorrow. Decided to drive here and have some lunch. Some construction or maintenance work was going on. But no trouble in finding the cache. tftc.
No idea where to look for the main one so found alternate. That was a quick find.
Staying in the local area but needed to exercise Mob dog so a nice safe place for him. Found alternative cache but not smaller one. TFTC.
The hanging cache has gone again as the shrub has been pruned to half its original size so the alternative cache is it now. Cheers cachers.
We quickly found the cache in the rocks, but initially couldn't find the hanging version, until we spotted it lying on the concrete. We replaced it as intended. TFTC
I popped down to the Cherry Grove for a quick cache grab
Once here I discovered the why the cache is named the way it is
And having taken a short tour of Taumarunui and seeing all the marbles around,
I can see that these things might have come in handy
Both caches in place

Easily found after lunch and taking the geodog for a walk but had to wait for muggles to clear out.
Heading up the line for a week of r&r and taking a couple of days to get to my destination, caching on the way. Despite visiting the nearby rugby club for many a 21st, I never new this beautiful spot existed. Cherry trees just starting to blossom. Must be amazing when they are all in flowers. A few muggles about but managed to find the cache without them noticing. TFTC
A good spot to let the dog out for a run and to meet a couple of other dogs. A quick find
Found both with my geocaching sisters. Nice easy ones. Beautiful corner of the world. Wish I had a canoe ! TLFC.
Found the cache between the rocks but then some muggles turned up so didn't look for the other one. TFTC
Grabbed some local caches before heading out of town. Nice little place and managed it before a van load of kayakers turned up. TFTC
In town to do the Forgotten World tour, an thought I'd grab a couple of you know whats while the rest of the party was sorting out food.
Thanks for bringing me here.
