Fortunately we are able to go for a drive even with the current restrictions and wanted to get out of the house but it has been raining quite a bit so decided not venture too far off the beaten track. Hadn't been Dargo way for some time and there was a few caches that we hadn't done so the destination was decided.
This cache took awhile but as soon as I looked in the right spot, bingo!
No eggs today either so at least we got something from here.

Out for a drive a drive to Dargo with Greenlion09's mum and muggle Dave.
Now that was darn tricky. Between four sets of eyes it was eventually greenlions mum who found it by putting herself into the right position. Enjoyed this one, thanks Brusue

Day 3 of our annual caching blitz holiday and the last in this area. On our way back after a short explore of Dargo. Always concerned about these sort of hides, you can spend hours on them and they do have a tendency to harbour 8 legged things...not my favourite. As we arrived so to did another car and low and behold it was the CO whi had actually been observing our earlier antics in town. You just never know when your being watched . With words of encouragement and warning about the critters he left us to search. No sooner had he left than the owners of morrie arrived. No the pressure was really on. Would we still be there when they returned home! Have done a fairly thorough search with no luck it was time to venture deeper and yes we were greeted by a large specimen of the crawling variety. Undeterred we decided he must have been guarding something and sure enough container was soon in hand. Great old truck and fabulous of the owners to let it be explored. Nice to meet you Bruce, good to out face to some of the well maintained caches in the area. Tftc
Lucky I have hubby with me when searching. I would never stick my hand in all the scary nooks & crannies. I’d miss out on finding a lot.
Found during another road trip to Dargo with gwd.aussie and D@geo.

Had stopped off at this cache on route to Dargo but decided after a bit of a search we would continue on to Dargo for lunch and try again on the way home. While at lunch we searched logs for hints groaning when read the couple of logs noting a quick/easy find. Obviously with this cache it is either luck or persistence. Today with us it was persistence with gwd.aussie eventually putting his hand on it.
Thanks Brusue
Thanks Brusue
Tried just before lunch, with no luck.
Return and made the find.
Yes the finder was the one with gloves
Out caching with D@geo and sqau
Thenk you the cache Brusue

Just catching up on some late logging following (apologises) a trip to the Victorian High Country with the Rats and a group of muggles. Thanks for adding to the fun filled week we had as part of our school holidays. Dad did the hard work here after getting a hint
Thanks
Thanks
Outside of caching the Rats love to go 4WDriving. With this in mind we combined our 2 favourite passions to spend a week exploring the Victorian High Country with some close friends. In a convoy of 7 vehicles we left the black-top at Tom Groggin (NSW) and we didn't see civilisation again for another 7 days when we finally popped out of the bush at Mansfield.
Our adventure saw us traversing the Billy Goats Bluff, The Blue Rag and soaring to the dizzy heights of Mt Stirling, Mt Pinnibar and The Pinnacles with the highlights being the amazing scenery and challenging tracks.
While we didn't stop at every cache, we chose to find this one as it held some significance for us. I'm not ashamed to say we had DNF'd this one the previous day but after meeting the CO's in town gave us a gentle nudge I was happy to explore this one in finer detail where I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks

Found with NICNCMI while collecting the troll series. It was one of those that could take 5 minutes or 35 minutes depending on where you look. 5 minutes for us. TFTC
Love this one!! Thank you. Quick drive past. Was put off by the hard too find, but was easy!
In the area for the Pajero 4WD Club of Vic Muster at Dargo and ran an event for it doing geocaching. Loved this cache. Took a long time to located. We were just about to give up as per usual, when Andrew from Pajent put his hand on it. Thanks for the cache. Great location and vehicle
Found with Beaker on a week-long 4wd trip through the high country. Highlights included walking to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko, sunset from the top of Mt Pinnibar, seeing an Eastern Water Dragon in the Crooked River and having the living daylights scared out of us by a deer at Wonnangatta! Along the way we rescued a bushwalker from a 7km limp with a sprained ankle, climbed mountains, crossed rivers, saw many huts and beautiful scenery, did some excellent 4wd tracks and some great caches. Thanks
Found with FerociousFlea while on our 8 day 4WD sojourn through the the High Country. We were collecting caches that we liked the look of as we went along.
Took longer than it should have. Pretty much touched the cache about 4 times before actually seeing it!!

Just when we were about to call it Zobi1kenobe came up with the goods! We did find the resident fuse box spider! TFTC
This one took about 20 minutes to find in the fading light. Went all over it with the torch and was just about to give up when Mr Beetle found it. So easy in the end.
No eggs for sale today. What a wonderful place to advertise them in though.
Great old truck that would have a few stories to tell if it could talk.
Thanks.

I had this feeling that I'd walk over to the truck and put my hand right on this one but in the end NoonaB did instead!
Found this one today on a caching day in the east with scarletlake14. I thought this one had the potential to be really hard with so many places to look but luckily enough I found it virtually straight away! Absolutely loved this truck and the cache placement, thanks for placing it here. I didn't even notice the truck when we were on the way to Dargo, that's what I love about caching! Left a favourite point
TFTC - had to stop for this one (even though it was raining), have always loved old trucks. Nice easy find.
Heading off on a weeks holiday in the High Country and an overnight stop in Dargo planned. We stopped and collected some caches along the road as we head through the area.
A nice easy find here after a PAF, so thanks Brusue for the placement.

Sneaky fella Bruce. Looking forward to more challenging caches from you in the Dargo area.
Had a look around here for awhile, but it was hot and we really didn't want to stop for too long, wanting to get back to our camp and the cool of the creek .
Maybe next time [B)].
Thanks for getting us to stop Brusue.

This first of an epic run of caches with nanton34. This took us to a very cool and unexpected location that we didn't notice on the way to Dargo due to it being at night and I don't recall seeing this on previous trips. Loved the old vehicle and checked a number of spots before making the find. Great location and hide, Tftc
After hitting the road this morning eighthknox and I had planned on picking up a number of caches we had passed in the dark on the way up here. This was the first and took a lot longer than we expected. However after searching everywhere eighthknox came up with the hide TFTC
Don't we all cringe when we come across a hide on an old vehicle or piece of machinery? We know we do, but it does not stop us having a look just the same. Harrowang and MarknDee started their methodical search and of course discovered the resident huntsman too. He/she had chosen a different spot to watch the proceedings, comfortably settled on the window frame of the driver's door. Mr Harrowang was the one who finally uttered the magic words 'found it' and we SL at 4.30pm. We are now quite familiar with all parts of Morrie and can say that he has definitely seen better days! Left a windmill PT to celebrate our success. We have spent the weekend on the Dargo High Plains and are now making our way down to Bairnsdale for the night. #2788 TFTC Brusue - well worth the effort to add another smilie.
Mmmm...that sinking feeling an old vehicle! Well, this was a challenge for the four of us, we were travelling with Harrowang. At least it was muggle free spot. We searched over and over, high and low, nooks and crannies. It's always the last place and the man with the gloves won in the end. Found at 4:30pm, what a relief. SL TFTC
P.S. It was nearly 14 months since it's last find so we can add this to our "Spread the Love"challenge!

Searched for this on the way into town and quickly discovered the rather large fuse-box-guarding-spider. Looked high and low, in and out and under, but didn't find the cache. A small hint from the CO while visiting Dargo and a second visit on the way out of town helped find the cache. Was not so comfortable on the second visit since the large spider was nowhere to be seen, so I was sure it was going to crawl out of its hiding place and over me at any second!
Took a while but we've found it. Johan almost had a heart attack as he picked up an old fuse box which housed a humongous huntsman - all three went flying - it was hilarious! Beautiful old truck. TFTC

Brain grovelled all over but no luck. Could hear the morrie owners and brusue laughing at us. Not much band practice going on I think. Will have to try another day.
***FTF*** Late in the afternoon and an artist has set up her easel at GZ. Admittedly, seeing the old Morris Commercial with the wonderful backdrop of some of the beautiful Victorian highcountry might be a nice setting for a painting she thought, so we had to wait till she departed before we could commence our search.
We got lucky today and soon found the well hidden container with a blank log book.
We added a Oz Mega Path Tag we had picked up last year, and took nothing.
Thanks Brusue for the FTF prize, nice thought
