Having DNFd the targeted cache, I decided to continue the walk under the freeway and grab the remaining cache on the other side.I began the search spotting some likely locations, but overlooking the fact that they were duplicated. On a second pass I spotted what I was looking for and the log was soon signed.A big thanks goes to Alsume for taking the time to add Goose Lake Heights to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #30 - a 30,000 step walk through Coburg, Broadmeadows and Brunswick. This one took longer than it should have but I did not realise that there was a hiding spot here. Thanks from D B-A
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.First cache of day 2 and what a sneaky hide. We searched and searched and re-searched and then I searched again in a spot that we had all searched before, before finding the well hidden cache. Lovely spot.

An expedition with Crystal Fairy & Barefootguru to the 'West Island '. Most logs signed as BIC to save space and time. 27 March 2024 07:50 Number 13818 TFTC Alsume ! CF spotted this in a location I thought I had checked....I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.
Out for a few caches nearby after an event with some Norwegians by the airport this morning and was now caching solo after a few finds with Robmc and RoamingHowie. This one was a quick find, even though last time I was here I'm sure I looked in the same place and didn't find it. Thanks Alsume for the hide.
Completing some caches around the Camberwell area today and decided to give this series a go. Located this one after a short search. Nice surprise to find this cache here I nearly missed it but saw something odd. Gotcha. Nice spot for a cache. No muggles around today which allowed me to search around. TFTC Alsume
Cool! Love the way this was hidden- nearly had me stumped until I saw a previous post mentioning a ‘decoy’.. that was extremely clever! Great spot, fun find. TFTC

Being that there were not too many places to hide this one made it a quick find. Thank you Alsume for placing and maintaining Goose Lake Heights for us to find today.
Find # 1809.

After a second crack today we came back from a lunch break and continued the search. Getting here, we've definitely been around for more than an hour now.
All possibilities tried, we even hoisted eachother up to the centre to a handful of rocks and bark.
Funny that.
Now to the final one for another go!

Tftc Alsume. In town to see the start of this year's MICF, with Sammy J at the Forum being our first event. Slept over at my sons place at Glenroy and spotted a group of 5 caches within easy walking distance. 3 of 5 found in the 5 1/2 kms of the circuit.
Looked for a good 20 minutes, poking and prodding but sadly a dnf.

Needed to fill a calendar spot today so was lucky to get a trip to Melbourne and when I arrived at my destination the job I was supposed to pick up (a coffin ️) wasn't ready so I had a half hour window to go and grab a cache. This one was a 15min drive so was perfect. A short walk after parking had me at gz. Loved this hide. Once I realised something wasn't what I first thought it was I started to explore a bit closer and after a couple of tries the clever cache was in hand. Nice hide TFTC
Checked the obvious place for far too long before looking at the broader picture. Tftc
Good find, hard to see in the dark but would be easy in daylight. Makes breath smell nice once found
After having taken in the ambience of the general area, it was time to see if I could knock this one off the list.
Once at GZ, a reasonably thorough interrogation of the two 'usual suspects' resulted in no logbook to sign. Racking my brains as to where else a stash could be hidden, I eventually spotted something that looked plausible. Sure enough, by a matter of elimination, I was finally signing the log at 15:15. Very sneaky.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Many thanks Alsume.

Mrs W today joined "Team Tassie" consisting of stainless-steel-rat, gooseandegg and Budgietas finding caches on the way back to the airport as we headed home after attending the Whittlesea Mega. It was a fun day to be out with great friends finding great caches. TFTC
Well the Mega is over for another year and we're making our way slowly to the airport, picking out a few caches in the horrendous weather as we go. We had Mrs WW with us for the day..
A well hidden cache but i had to find something with the goose name!
Thanks Alsume

Today was day 3 around the Whittlesea area, and after the Escape Room, the crew (Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Tassie Trekkers and Whitewebbs) targetted the "Gadget caches" and other caches in the area, followed by a drive to the airport to make our ways home
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Checked today and another one lost to the cache bandits. i will replace it pretty soon.
Couldn’t find. Checked the likely hiding spots based on the comments and couldn’t see or feel
Checked today and despite franberry6's comments it is still in the correct position, not pushed in too far. Just need to use the eyes to spot that it is actually easy to retrieve.
Had a picnic by the lake and thought this was a good addition to the trip. Nicely hidden!
Found on our second attempt. Couldn’t get it out, would need a magnet on a stick or some other retrieval method. Too far along
Looked for a while but people on a date made it a bit awkward. Will have to come back
Couldn't find this one. Peeked and poked about but nothing. Will try again another day
TFTC - it’s been a while since I last visited the park. Good to be back. Nice hide.
Very well hidden TFTC! Coming out after/during rain was 100% the best time to do this trail! TFTC Hoodedhooligans (H.H.) 15 May 2021 5:04 pm #468
Never had a reason to come out to Broady before, but this is a lovely spot for a search! Thanks.
First geocache! Found it after a bit of searching and left a little reward for the next person who finds it now we’re gonna go see the geese!
