Today we stopped at Lake Ratoiti and found the cache easily. TFTC

I remember having a nice meal here a couple of years ago while walking Te Araroha. Pity it's closed now. Tftc

A quick park and grab and was super easy as sadly the cafe is closed down and up for sale so no one was around, hopefully it is brought to life again as it looked like a nice place to stop.

Very good one but a lil easy

We spent a few days in St Arnaud, and this was down the road from our accommodation. We walked for long days and I was very tired every evening, but that night, I decided I needed to grab it before we leave on the next day. It was a quick find, a few muggles nearby, but busy having some drinks and chatting with friends between the campervans. Both container and logbook were in good condition.

Unfortunately I think the bag had been left open and it was all full of water, so drained it out.. put a piece of paper in but I assume it will just get wet. May need a look at please some time

After 6 days in the Richmond range I have emerged and its time to get a food resupply and a good meal so a quick stop by here to grab this one before I get lunch near by and then time to relax before heading back to the hills.

Finally I am back on the main land , feels good to back in the south island.
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.
From the beachs of the north to the forest and lakes and the odd bump of the south
Blùff here i come

Decided we deserved to have a road trip so first stop St. Arnaud for the night. Went to the newish Dine Hard family tavern for hot chips and hot chocolate on arrival - a very welcoming place on a cold afternoon. Easy find. TFTC.

Having a weekend away in Nelson after a long lockdown Drove up to St Arnaud to enjoy some beautiful scenery and walks. A very cold start but we soon warmed up. Thanks to the COs - We can’t wait to come back TFTC

Brought the caravan up to the lake to test out the new towing wheels. Parked up in the nearby park over property behind the cafe and then headed out for a wander down to the lake.
On the way back to the caravan and bent down and grabbed this as I went past.
