Were staying at the nearby resort for a couple of days, and we thought why not find some caches that are close by? Every time we stay at the resort, we come to this spot to watch planes land 10m over the top of our heads, its cool. But today that tradition broke as the wind was not blowing the right direction. We did get to see a plane land from the opposite direction though. A great cache in a great location! TFTC Tas_Community!
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasnt to be. This one needs to be checked by the owner. Thanks anyway Tas_Community
Despite all the instructions, the cache remained unfound. Some heavy undergrowth may have hindered. The cache wasn't in plane sight (see what I did there!)
We enjoyed reading the cache listing. Seems the device is no longer here but still a great spot for a cache. Quick find and sign, whats with all the religious gumf in Tassie caches? . TFTC on the way back to to the car we watched a plane coming in to land.
Saw that this cache had been re enabled so decided to have another go.Knew exactly where to go so we beelined straight to the spot and had success.Happy to be able to change the blue to a yellow
Think we found it but it is stuck way up in the tube so not actually sure, cool spot though
We found what we believe is the metal rod the cache is meant to be attached to, but the actual cache appears to have been muggled
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Six: New Norfolk to Hobart Airport and a flight home.
Weather: Chilly morning, sunny day.
One of twelve bonus caches picked up after dropping the van at the airport. I had four hours to kill before my flight. A return Skybus ticket was $38, but I could get a car for $34, so here I am!
So this becomes the actual last cache of the roadtrip, and this one is also a perfect note to end on. I’d love to be sitting in that chair as a 787 comes in over the water, there were no plane movements in the short time that I was here.
Nice hide too. I’m saddened to see that this CO is no longer with us, and won’t be reading this log. Thanks for keeping the cache alive Tas_Community, it’s a nice memorial.
It’s officially a mega.

Lovely winter's day for a beach walk, as well as grabbing some caches on the way. Nice hide!

With a bit of time still left before this evening's trip home, I took a trip down to this one for a look. I must confess to having a very healthy read of the hint [8)] and with that info at hand, I was soon signing the log at 14:55.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks wilco (Vale 5-July-2018).

After dropping friend off at airport went to find some caches in area and loved idea of viewing planes arriving/departing right overhead!

Found it! Bit hard though, had to use hint, so maybe include this in description? Thankyou though, got to see a plane which was very cool
Great spot!
Witnessed a few planes coming in and out which was the highlight for the other half.
I didn't have a pen with me so here's the evidence.

A good little search. Beautiful location. We even managed to be there while a plane flew over our heads!
Great view of a couple of planes taking off so making a quick find of this cache was a bonus.
Great little spot, dropped of son at airport so decided to do some early morning caching TFTC
Great spot for a cache

Really enjoyed finding this spot. We occasionally do "plane spotting" at Melbourne Airport, so to be able to do this in a different state, got me really excited! (We don't go on holiday very often.. haha)
With no one else around, DaD0n quickly found the cache. Loved the hide. TFTC

Decided to ride our bikes from ou timeshare to as far as we could on Seven Mile Beach. We hired an eBike for my 80year old Dad as he was wanting to look into them. We left my hubby with the bikes while we looked for the cache. The geogal made a quick find of this one. Thanks for the cache
My geocaching buddy is back so we decided to have a day out for International Geocaching day. The carpark and track were surprisingly busy with dog walkers and cyclists. Luckily it was an easy find in between muggle activity. There was a very cold wind so waited a bit for a plane to arrive - one took off but from the wrong direction and then just as we wandered back a plane came into land. TFTC!
tassietan and I are out for a caching outing on International Geocaching Day.
There were heaps of muggles in this area, despite the foul weather, but tassietan had the cache in hand without a problem.
We waited for a plane to take off, thinking that it would come out way. Sadly it only taxi'd towards us and took off the other way.
Just as we were leaving another came in, so tassietan got the photos she was hoping for.
I just got the on on the ground....

Quick find - I probably shouldn’t have looked at the hint as that made it super easy. Fantastic place to come and watch the planes. TFTC!
Thank you 63ROOS lift me drive around to hobart and Beautiful weather and good laugh.. tks
We hired some E-Bikes from the resort today and went for a ride around. I zoomed ahead (which was easily done) and quickly had this cache found before the rest of the family caught up with me.
Thanks!!

Pretty sure I found it, but the cache wasn't attached. So just going to need to be replaced. Attached photo to prove. Please delete if it isn't it
Didn't read the logs before I tried this one! Like previous visitors found the pipe and metal rod with ring but bison tube no longer attached. Was pretty cool having the 11am Jetstar plane fly over the top of while I was ony hands and knees hunting around. TFTC
Found location but cache is gone, looks like its been pushed way up pipe

What a view from here. Thanks for leading me to the beach. Enjoyed the rest of my 10km run jogging along the sand and soaking up the view. I love Hobart
