Hello fellow cachers! HufflepuffCat8499 and I are in Currumbin and surroundings and are attempting to bag some quick smiles on the map. Today, while visiting another geocache, we remembered not finding it yesterday, so we decided to try and log it. TFTC, petan, it was much appreciated. The workers gave us funny looks as they were right there, but we just said nothing. Happing hunting and have a good day! - GryffindorFerret (from Vic)
TFTC petan! Finally, our #2 cache today. Unfortunately, there were heaps of construction workers and muggles, and we tried to be as discrete as possible, although crawling underneath a bridge is quite questionable to muggles! It is a great spot for a cache and interesting to learn about the history of this bridge! TNLN & SL. - HufflepuffCat8499
Unfortunately, this was a DNF as well, due to the very high muggle area, so we will come back later, hopefully.
This was an exceptionally good geocache to find as not only was it in a great hiding spot but also an excellent location to find. Unfortunately the logbook has been slightly terrorized however I ripped out one or 2 of the pages that had things written on them.
Nice quick find for a morning adventure. Cute litte stickers inside made my lil helper super happy! TFTC!
Been trying to get back to geocaching with my little brother and it was a nice and easy one to start with many hints one to start. Hint: 427m7=Location. TFTC!
Cache container was missing. Called past and replaced it. Watch your head and beam clearances under the bridge. I suspect that runoff from the roadworks have raised the ground level a little. Yes I hit my head on a beam while not ducking far enough down.
On our travel TEMBO! and I visited the cache. We love bridges with a face. Thanks to petan for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Caching in the area with *Filser1* and this was one we found. An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition. T4TC
I read this geocache's description before leaving my car, and found the history of the current pedestrian/bike bridge interesting. I parked adjacent to the bridge, and had a search whilst trusting the coordinates. I managed to spot the cache in an adjacent beam after initially concentrating on one particular beam section. I did take a look around to try to find the numbered markings to know which one I was at, but I guess I had more success with just searching for the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I didn't see any sign of the last finder in the logbook. Thanks petan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Merry Christmas! The family celebrated Christmas staying in Robina on the Gold Coast, which provided an opportunity to visit geocaches in the region. This afternoon, after catching up with friends and watching the thunderstorm roll through (and getting wet!), I had a few hours that I was able to find a few geocaches, and with no definitive plans, I ended up sticking to the coast/beaches, thinking that the wet weather would make the beach esplanades quieter than usual. I targeted my last remaining *Paradise Series* oldie geocaches, before finding a few *Beautiful Burleigh* and Palm Beach Power Trail (PBPT) geocaches between Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, and Currumbin. The weather was in complete contrast to the morning with sunshine and warmth, which was a welcome change to being outside today.
TFTC smile 17334 out and about on a lovely day having a great day with geofriends on the Gold Coast geo caching Thank you petan for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Down the Gold Coast with friends for a few day and turning some coloured spots into Smilies. Missed the turn as looking at a bit of road rage with a truck and a couple of cyclists but soon amended that. Signed log and cache replaced as found. TFTC
A last minute discussion sees me travelling down the coast for the day. Still wanting to continue on my challenges I have set myself I thought I would show my friend this area. I had seen this one on previous trips to the coast but there was always a reason as to why I could not stop by. Today I made a dedicated attempt to get here. As it turns out I parked not far from the cache. It was a little search around and I soon found the cache nice and dry on its perch. I opened the container to find a nicely dry log book. I signed the book and replaced all as found and thought there is one more I need for the day, so around the corner we go. Thanks for the hide here.
Found! A great cache with a little protector, the bird is very chill and is looking after the containerTFTC
Took us a while, had to use photo from one if the comments. Couldn’t see the pier numbers at first.
Great spot

Out for a leisurely walk with no pen but stumbled across this one. Tftc, took a photo of the cache.
It was fun trying to find it and didn’t take long but be careful there might be a bird behind the container.
After seeing two DNFs on this cache, I called in this afternoon to check.
Cache is still there and still intact, although was on the ground and not on the bearer as expected.
After a quick check over it was placed back into position.
If you are searching for this cache in the next couple of weeks, be aware there is some broken glass on the ground. Proper shoes not thongs or bare feet please. These pieces are too small to pickup but will ground down further and be covered by dirt.
Photograph attached proof the cache was there on 20 July, as well as a further clue on where to look. Remember it is NOT on top of the bridge it’s UNDER.

Found this ages ago with our grandson. Pretty easy I find when you find the right pier.
Adding an owner maintenance log to remove the red spanner.
As mentioned in the 'enable' log, the cache is ready to be found.

Replacement container back in position.
The nesting pigeon is gone. I hope they were able to fletch their young and were not forcibly removed. For the record, the pigeon was nesting on the creek side of the bearer that is supported by pier 61, the cache is on the opposite side.

Called in this afternoon on my way home from work, and yes the cache container is missing. I didn't have a replacement with me. Will drop one in after the weekend is over.
Anyone know how long pigeon's nest for?

Searched and searched. Found the correct pier number 61M. Found the nesting pigeons (as mentioned in find log) but no cache. We feel we would have found it if it was there but feel it is missing. Sad to have to leave without a find.
Looked for over 30 minutes. Found the correct 61M etc. Found the nesting pigeons but no container. I'm wondering if someone has moved it!
Thank you for my first geocatch. The nesting pigeon helped me find it! I had lots of fun and can’t wait to find more. Thank you
Heading back from a family gathering at the Rocks Resort stop to grab this one and pick up a tb and drop off one tftc petan
Visiting from New Zealand for a family reunion. Spent a few days at Springbrook and today are heading back to the Gold Coast collecting caches along the way. Enjoying an evening stroll along the river. While Mr Rubbishparty had a swim Mrs Rubbishparty found this cache. Dropped off a TB we picked up in NZ. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for another smiley
Ez quick find for the family, construction workers were wondering what we were doing. TFTC
Really fun!! Adorable trade!! I stuck a few things in there to trade for what I got. Got to go with my partner too which was fun. Thank you! ️
Since I was in the area with my caching kit, I called in for a maintenance check.
Found the cache on the ground so have moved it back up where it ought to be. Replaced the pencil and added some stickers as stash.
Unfortunately someone has removed the geocaching sticker from the top of the container revealing the name of a previous cache we owned. I didn't have a replacement sticker in my caching kit. Will rectify this when I have a chance.

After a week long GC holiday, we finally had some time to find a cache. Geostubs has found her voice so she waited in the car. Her first real cache find! An easy find, all is good here. TFTC
I was under the bridge and I saw a small box around head height and it was that
Zeke and suzanna found it.
First ever find. It was fun. I needed to get the hints from others who had found the Geo.
Pencil needs a sharpener.
