Up in Mildura with LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy for a week of caching and golf. Today was a quieter day than yesterday where we managed to almost complete the Paddle Steamer series. Today we introduced a couple of Octogenarian friends to our game who completely outdid us in their ingenuity to solve various clever caches in this town with more than its share. This was thankfully a quick find with the accurate coords and a well placed container.

It was time to tackle the Turtle Series. Solving the puzzles began some time ago, but was done in earnest during the first of the long Covid lockdowns while supervising our eldest grandson while he was involved in remote learning. A great way to keep us occupied, but also stopping us from hovering over him while he did his work.We had envisaged doing much of the trails on bike but decided the night before to abandon that idea and do the caches with a mixture of car travel and walking. Turned out to be a wise decision as with soft and spongy trails and a myriad of thorns, burrs and bindis we think we would have been in trouble. It meant a lot of walking, but then that is supposed to be good for us!The hides were straightforward with in most case few options which was appreciated. Only one DNF. We also picked up a few other caches en route, a couple good field puzzles and containers.Thank you for a great series well executed.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TheVersteegs.**SKI Pair****

Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 54. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 3. After a huge day, the MAA team (Mildura Autumn Attack and we consisted of Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Albida33) headed back to the Paddle Steamer to finish the last bit. It did not take too long, and the whole series has been a joy of accurate and present caches. The next goal was the various Gadget caches rear Red Cliffs and then by the Gliding field. The day was completed with an all out effort to get to all the Turtle caches. Plenty of drive bys, but a few fun walks on muddy flats. This was another great series. A few of us gathered for take away dinner and retired for what rest could be achieved before tomorrows activities.

Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs

Spending a few days in Mildura, joined by the rest of the Goldy clan for a family getaway.

We've been coming here since our first visit in 2008, it's a Goldy family favourite so I'm excited for the opportunity to find a few geocaches here and in some of the surrounding towns.

I'm also looking forward to experiencing some different hides in another state, as all my finds so far have been in South Australia.

I won't be able to get to all the caches due to having other plans with family, family always comes first.

So a high majority of caches on the "to be found" list are ones where I can learn local history and ones that are relatively quick and easy.

I've been primarily eyeing off the turtle series geoart and adventure labs.

Easy find at GZ.

Cache and log book in good condition.

Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Signed as "P.Goldy"

Thanks to TheVersteegs for this cache.

Day 7 of the long road trip from Western Australia to Townsville, Queensland.

Caching today was in Mildura mainly doing the Turtle Series and one of the Adventure Labs. Unfortunately half the final ground zeros somehow dissappeared from the GPS so had to rely on the tablet to work out where to find the Turtles. It made the day long and a case of backtracking a few times when it was found some caches had been missed.

This cache found without problems. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.

Thanks TheVersteegs for placing and maintaining this cache for geocachers to find.

In Mildura for a day, hit the Mildura Brewery last night, parkrun this morning, followed by breaky, then out for a hike to find some cache. This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.

Thankfully we didn't give up but had to expand our look about 12m from where GZ was pointing.

Thanks TheVersteegs for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Here in Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet and Happy Pants.
Once we'd finished finding the nearby turtle series geoart, we were keen to keep on caching into the late afternoon, then on and into the night. "There's another one over here" was the saying heard most today. We found a plethora of different cache types, hide styles and were happily perplexed at some GZs! Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.

We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.

We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity. We signed most logbooks 'B.E.F.W.'

It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!

Hi there TheVersteegs.

We found your cache **"Don't Give Up"** at 10:32:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 24668).

We're staying in Mildura to hunker down over the current Victorian lockdown. On our daily exercise stroll today we decided to attempt some caches around the local area. We found 11 caches & DNF'd 0.

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends. Thanks also for not placing a mint tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge

Thank you TheVersteegs for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

Found while working or way through the nearby Turtle Geoart series. A much easier find than the D/T rating led us to believe, perhaps the hide used to be much different than how we found it today. Anyway, another smilie on the gameboard for us today and more fun exploring the local bush.
Thx to TheVersteegs for placing.
