19 Apr ... another search whilst in the area... expanded the search area ... again no success.

18 March ... extensive search with no joy.

Time for maintenance, CO?

It would be surprising if it has been muggled.

Had a good look for this one all around.
No luck with this one today.
Saw a slithery friend.
Will keep watch on this one

When I arrived, GZ had me in the middle of a clearing but each time I checked, it pointed me somewhere else.

I spent a long time wandering around and around in circles looking in logs and stumps and checking out tree branches but couldn't find anything.

I almost walked into a large spider web with resident spider and there was a hornet or wasps nest on a dead branch.

I have no idea where the cache is or even where I should be looking and eventually had to give up and leave.

No luck Sad GPS was all over the place, very cloudy today. Walked around in circles until I realised I had no idea which way I'd come in lol. Gave up when it started to rain and I beat a hasty retreat.

This sucks. Posting a DNF out of sheer frustration. Spent 1.5 hrs looking, got stuck out here after dark. Not a happy camper! Assistance and community are part of the Geocaching culture. A hint would have been helpful.

Really really cool spot, very well hidden and camouflaged a good one for kiddies to find Smile and nice walk through the bush too.
TFTC- very cool BlueyGreen
My advice, grab a stick to clear your path from spiders!!

Arrived in Brisbane yesterday, camping at the caravan park at Thorneside.
We targeted just a few caches, it gave us like a tiki tour of your beautiful area.
Thanks for placing this cache Chizzi

Was passing by on a lovely Sunday walk and decided to go off piste quickly to look for this one. Found it nicely hidden without too much searching. Thanks Chizzi!

out on bubba's mad womble to complete the 25 D/T challenge

found uncovered but I don't think anyone will stumble upon it here Smile

09-Aug-15
Bubba89 had been awesome enough to work out a list for me for the 25 D/T challenge so we planned a whole day out with an early start! The 4 of us (Bubba, Barbbowman, Ree of Scattsmadhouse and I) met up before the sun was up and set off for the day.

A nice place to walk in here, nice flat paths! We stayed on the paths, found some caches, saw some people kayaking and had some laughs.

A few weeks ago some fellow cacher friends were talking about doing 25 caches in a day to meet the needs for a challenge for one of the group. Finding an area with 25 unfound caches seemed like the biggest task but the list was soon compiled and the plan was in motion. Today we ( barbbowman, bubba and wombles and co) were all up and on the road before dawn , eager to find caches and help wombles get her 25 caches.
A lovely area and we enjoyed the bush bashing. TFTC

So this adventure started a few weeks ago with Wombles and Co talking about doing her 25differentD/T challenge. 1/2 of Scattsmadhouse asked to come along for the day as well to pick up some caches. So this morning (early) we started our day, along with mumma (barbbowman).

Happy to say we completed the 25D/T's and were home just as the sun was starting to go down.

a nice quick find TFTC

Feels weird today the bush is almost silent. Still hear trains and hoons. And the occasional plane. Cache is all as promised, but left the 55 cents for the next finder. Found at 2.30pm on 30th June 2015. TFTC.

Located this one although it was quite a way into the bush. After signing off the cache, I
noticed a colourful, bright yellow-striped spider crawling down my arm. Aaaah!!!!!

Today was an interesting day because we are to attend the Northside Puzzle Group meeting on the southside!!! (Thanks Monty Python!). We began the day by locating finding the southside puzzle caches we had solved many months before our move to Tasmania. This one was just off our walking trail so could not be resisted. Someone had left a large TB out in the open on top of the cache so that was taken to move elsewhere.

Why did I walk straight up to it today when my last search was unsuccessful. Quick and easy. TFTC

14-Sep-14
This was our first in this area today. When it was time to leave the path and head into the bush I sent Mr LHE in to find this one. When he did not reappear after a few minutes I had to follow as he could not find it. After a bit of a look about I ended up finding it in the first place I suggested but did not look closely enough at. It was soon in hand and our name added to the log. TFTC

Out for a stroll on a lovely clear Tuesday morning and I took a direct route to this cache from the nearby hide. Spotted a juvenile snake on the path a bit earlier, however, was careful not to pinch his tail Smile

An easy find in the obvious place and the logbook signed Smile

On I walked, as time to roll on out of here. Lovely piece of bushland.

A gentle bush bash this afternoon and the cache was in hand immediately as the coords seemed very precise. Pretty nice work with the camo there, but still a fast find. TFTC where all is well.

Found it. No need for more clues than already given. I turned the treasure cube. Next one can restore it. This isn't a clue: when you find it you will know what I mean, rubric.

Found it quick sign swapped treasure and out off there. Happy hunting everyone: )

After sweeping the area for about 15 mins, my 6 year old found this one. His first legitimate find all by himself. Needless to say, he`s pretty impressed with himself. Nice hide, thanks!

I had to go into work this morning for a meeting and then head out to Tingalpa on the way home. I decided to take the scenic route home and collect some smileys along the way.

I ised to walk and run in here lots when I lived in Manly. It is a bit far away now. Chose a good parking spot and walked towards GZ. Only a short excursion off the path to GZ for a nice quik find thanks Smile

19-Jan-14
I was in the area and just well I wanted to get this one off the map. So I pulled up and parked and started the walk in. I had to wander a little past the fork in the path before heading in as A couple of walkers were going past and I thought it might be a little strange if I just dart into the bush.

Soon enough I headed in though and was soon at the spot, Coords were spot on here.

Smile Area was quiet. A search soon proved fruitful. Cache in good condition and dry.

23-Dec-13
Straight forward find after a bit of a bush bash. Trying to stay away from the Christmas shopping crowds so we (Geo-girl321 and Geo-boy#99, and I) spent an hour or two catching up on some local caches that we've never gotten to. TFTF

22-Dec-13
I didn't find this one tsmj and geo-boy#99 did for me, I was getting bitten by mozzies Sad

09-Nov-13
The crookedkids are learning to sail at the nearby yacht club, so after dropping them off and watching them sail down the harbour, I hopped on the geobike for a ride. Ignoring the no bikes here sign, I rode down the Road reserve and then some tracks to the fork. Never came across another person. At GZ, I thought this could take a while, but I expanded my search area slightly and found it.

Thanks for the cache Chizzi

# 91 - As not all the tracks are mapped and geograndson and I didn't enter at Chelsea Road, we had quite a walk this hot and sunny morning, but not unpleasant. After a reasonably quick find we walked the shorter way back, happy to be able to log another one. TFTC

I was in the area for lunch for my grand daughters 4th birthday celebration and this was close by so I decided that it should be my cache of the day.

I love strolls like this in the bush and I quickly arrived at the fork and headed bush.

I spotted the hide in the second place I looked. I think I might have been lucky.

I needed a cache for Day 22, and it was getting dark, so I perused the maps for a cache that would not attraction any attention when using a torch. I knew the paths well and wandered down and made my in without too many hassles. Got to GZ and spotted the cache straight away! I thought I was going to be in for a long search! Big Grin

While part of the family were nearby, I popped in to see of I could spit this one. It's the third Chizzi cache I try and the first one also to find.

Followed the path from Chelsea Rd until I was diagonal to the cache. It was time to look for a suitable entrance to the bush.

At the GZ the compass pointed to a vacant space, so it was time to start the methodical search. After a few of minutes I decided to widen the search area and the first place held something concealed.
Nice camo - you need to get closer to spot the container here.

Log signed, a TB left behind for the next one to discover or grab.

Big Grin *FTF* Big Grin 2:55pm.

Congrats Chizzi on your first geocache hide. They have all been well done.

This turned out to be a very lucky day. Came over to this side of town to have a go at 'victory on carinyan' (yea - got it) and were at 'Tarradarrapin' when notification came through for another two of Chizzi's caches both within 4km.

Another easy find and we now had our third FTF for the day. Met up with 'bikerleo7' again on the way back to the car - Hi again Smile

Picked up 'Crystal's Travels' geocoin while we were there.
