Heading northwards for a few days. This was one of five I found along the route today. It was a quick find. #7712. TFTC.
Driving home from Ohakune this evening, I had a bit of time to stop for a few caches on the way back to The Tron. Just a minor wet foot was sustained here jumping a puddle to reach the GZ. A nice quick find in the dark. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan#5280Logged using Cachly.
Love coming to National park. Beautiful scenery.Cache was a bit wet.vdried it as much as we could.A nice quick, easy, find, grab, sign, and flee.TFTC
Today our trip through New Zealand takes us to the National Park. Due to circumstances, the route did not go as expected and we missed many geocaches. But luckily we came across a lot of them here. Thank you very much to CO for making it possible to do our shared hobby here. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Out for a central north island mission with Reschedule. Circling around Ruapehu today. Find 39 of the day.TFTC
Left our Basecamp of Rotorua to explore the cacheline around Ruapehu and the central north with Kre8ive, stunner of a day! TFTC! #39 for today.
(# 8668) As it is a long weekend in Wellington I took a caching jaunt up to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty with TwigNZ, NZ_B and Itchyfeet2020. Stayed in Tokoroa which was the centre of the caching universe for this weekend. Itchyfeet2020 and myself had to jump the ditch and did so without problem. The cache was quickly found.Logs were either signed MINT (being our initials) or Mr-Mcgoo.Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for bringing me here.
Team MINT (Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B & TwigNZ) were up in the central north exploring, targeting oldies and fun caches. Today, Wellington Anniversary is the day for heading home with the McGoo Machine and Twig-a-nator, choosing the western side of the lake. It's a hot day, but caching does not stop for anyone. A great little find as we head south. Lid is starting to sucmb to weather and crack.
Have raced past this over the years but today had no trailer on and time to kill, so grabbed it. Outer box has hole in lid di returned inverted to reduce water issues,Waterproof log is fine of course . Thanks
Instant find of elevation 825 m and S39° 11 minutes for me. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan!
I would like to say this was a quick find but I totally interpreted the hint wrong lol. All in good order here
On the twelfth day of Christmas Lands and Survey gave to us a cache geodetic code 825m above sea level. Nice one! Found with Piwaka54 on our adventures around the central north island
Before I go south I did a circuit on the Nationa Park and found some Caches.
In the morning you could see the Top of Tahurangi.
Thanks.

Thanks.
A busy stretch of a road, but something so distinctive as a trig station so close to the road is certainly deserving of a cache. A quick park and grab. TFTC
A quick stop and dash to this cache by a very busy road. The view towards Ruapehu was clear but Ngauruhoe was blocked by clouds. TFTC
Tftc, on the way home from doing the circuit with mumandme, madcow2, victoriousone
Found with Madcow2, Mumandme and Kimmy+co. Having finished the Tongariro Northern Circuit today is a day of exploring. Amazing trip and views so far. TFTC
Set out today aiming to walk to Taranaki Falls and do The Lord Of The Rings caches and any other walks and caches we felt like and could fit in before the expected rain showed up. Luckily we made it off the mountain as the first raindrops fell, got pretty wet finding the last few caches.
Had a very successful day with just 2 did not finds. Most caches were in good condition, easy finds, some a little wet. Of course we had just started the 6km walk to Taranaki falls when my pen died. Everytime my pen dies i don't have a spare! Any other time i have 3-6 on me. So i have photos of logs if the cache owner wants. I did manage to get it working for some logs now and then.
Very happy to get another 'bucket list' walk ticked off.
Nice quick first find of the day, all in good condition. Thanks for the cache McCutchan Clan.

A quick find with Talla64 while on a road trip north. Thanks for the cache and the interesting information.
Interesting spot. Great clue made it a quick find. On our trip from Mt Maunganui to Ohakune. Tftc
no problem finding this one, after slipping into the water on the way, at least my feet were wet from an earlier cache, parkiing was a bit tight but managed it, tftc
March has been such a busy month, but not so much with getting out and about to indulge in finding some caches for myself. So what better way to remedy this than have a few days away in an area not previously cached out?
Cue a weekend of touring around the Tongariro National Park in good company. Exactly what I needed, and a weekend that would see me find over a hundred caches, including getting my 4000th.
I knew this would be a long day, both starting and finishing in the dark, but I hadn't quite expected to be out caching for 16 hours straight lol. But it was a very productive and interesting day, so it was all worth it in the end.
Having left the campsite at about 05:30 it was still dark outside and I hunted for the cache by torchlight. Thanks to the Hint it was a very quick find, and with the logging etiquette all sorted and the cache replaced as found, it was back to the car and on to the next one.
Thanks for setting up and maintaining this cache.

Day 7 of a road trip with Saethwr around the lower North Island. Caching not a priority, but we will get a few.
Taumaranui to Ohakune.
Had to stop for this one. It (and the village) are higher than the highest point of the Longwood Hills that are close to home.
It's been very damp inside. A replacement log, in a pill container, has been left. I signed that rather than the very damp sheet of paper. Then replace the container upside down - if the seal has gone that will maybe let some moisture out.
Thanks for the smilie McCutchan Cache Clan.

Day 2 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I left Wanganui early(ish) headed for the Dickey Flat campsite and one of the remaining old school caches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
No problem here, found safe and dry. TFTC

I have been past this cache several time and oi have always managed not to stop here so today it was a must! the log book was wet and yucky so i went back to car got a small pill bottle and a new waterproof log sheet which i placed inside the existing container so it should stay dry now.
I went on a very unexpected trip travelling to central North Inland on some unusual roads and staying at a small 'township" on of the way . we left early, travelled through Whanganui where we had morning tea, and the up the parapara s , to rangitau where we were staying and then went out on day trips locating a few more caches
thank you for this cache and i took some photos of the Mountain beautiful!

The wind was so strong we almost increased our elevation looking for this cache. There was also a lot of water to negotiate both from the skies and underfoot.
As a result it felt much more challenging than a normal park and grab so we were very pleased to make a quick find.
A perfect spot for a cache. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan.

This was another quick stop on my long drive home. Being in an exposed spot, I was grateful for the helpful hint and I soon completed my mission and was on my way again.
A frozen sluggy pipe of paper was hidden in this cache. We through them away and left a dry piece for future logs
Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for placing this cache
This was one of the easiest trigs I have ever walked to... and the current log was nice and dry despite some water in the container.

Placed by a Huntly family and found by a Huntly family, a fair few hours from home!!! TFTC MCC
Found this cache together with friends thanks for the cache. Logged as rejseholdet. Actually this is Our cache Number 4000
Heading to Whanganui for a week’s work. Always fun travelling through National Park. No trouble finding this one. TFTC
I left Wanganui and was heading to Turangi. SH4 was closed due to a landslide, so I had to drive down to Bulls and then go north. I am now back on my original route so this was a planned stop. The cache was almost too obvious. TFTC.

I have added part of a notebook page & a new plastic bag which is rather on the large side .... the container isn’t closing properly.
Sorry, couldn’t access a replacement ...

Easy find but container full of water and log unable to be used so needs maintenance. But great park and grab!
A quick jump over the boggy small stream in the rain tothen quickly find the cache - unfortunately the cache was sodden and the log not really able to be signed - will add photos soon of wet log and Stretch0 at GZ - a proper winter cache in the rain Thanks for the cache
A quick easy find after stepping over the ditch. Log was sodden , sorry replacements in geo wagon were under all our luggage so log still needs replacing. TFTC
Stopped here on the way to Ohakune to walk the CoachRoad track over the long weekend. Log book was very wet.
Found on a freezing rainy day on way to Taupo with ozlad. Had to jump over a little stream to get to GZ. Lovely views along the way though. Tftc!
I am traveling with my daughter Lucinka mundlinka and son Negrritos across the New Zealand. We are from Prague, Czech Republic. We love "geocaching", the main target is caches )

Several day we were staying in National Park Village, but I did not find the three traditionals yet. And now we are leaving this morning. I got my bike of the campervan and visited all three caches, all three were found as well. A very good closure of this time here.
Thanks for placing this cache!

Easy find as we drove past but log has turned to mush and signing log was difficult.
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.
This cache was one of our stopps thanks a lot to the owner.

Conttainer full of water, logbook needs to be replaced. We left a piece of paper but do not think that this will last long. Papermash....Thanks for showing us this landmark anyway.
This day, our third in Tungari, we drove round the Tongariro. We started early in the morning, the weather was not so good. But in the afternoon there was great sun and we could finally see all the mountains. Some walks showed us many caches like this one.

The Central North Island, Day 4: Taupo - National Park
Today’s weather started of particularly wet but that tapered off a little in the afternoon before a light drizzle returned later on. Oddly enough, I didn’t really need to use a raincoat, just a windbreaker sufficed for most part. Some very unique landscapes along the way, and had a lot of fun exploring the Lake, Desert and Mountains of the region. A surprisingly very productive day for caching, too! A great Christmas Eve all round!
The following are the specific log for each cache:
Quick little stop over that we almost overshot on the highway. Once we got back to the right place, the cache was very quickly found. The contents were flooded, so had to drain the water out. TFTC!
