My birthday today, so of course I decided to spend it geocaching with the family. Didn't really have a destination planned, but I knew I wanted to go towards Wang, ended up in the Warbies, and finished off completing some of the OMCT trail in Wang.
I dismissed the hiding spot here straight away and started looking elsewhere. Noticed all the old bottles and bits of china. Kept looking further away, but eventually was drawn back to the first spot and with a bit of digging unearthed the cache. A cool little spot, TFTC!

Out and about exploring the Warby Ranges. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Nice easy find to #keepthestreakalive.
Parked and walked the last 900m to stretch the legs and SL at 7am.

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather.
After 2 nights at Terrick Terrick we are heading directly East for a few days near Wangarratta and Beechworth. After setting up camp at the Forest Camp campgrounds we headed out to explore the area. A day of mixed fortunes as we don't have a ladder and some of the multis tricked us. Nice to explore the area though.
This was just down the road from our camp - the spring is looking small and murky despite the recent rains. The bush is lovely and aflush with flowers of all kinds.

Managed to come back out to the Warbies this morning to grab a few caches in an area l haven’t visited before. This one was a quicker find after a short walk before making my way out to the Wallaby Hill cache. Another nice spot to come out and see while l was grabbing a few smilies out this way. Thanks Bingley3683 for the hide and for bringing me here to explore this beaut area.
Saw a honey bee hive in a nearby tree.
It sure is dry - no spring water for us!
What crazy times we are living through: we are on holiday from Springvale, VIC but our timeshare is just over the bridge at Capri Waters Country Club, Mulwala NSW and so we need to apply for a border pass and cross a State Line checkpoint to go out caching for the day!

Lid was a little stuck but was able to get it of eventually. Beautiful area.
Out and about without my infamous partner of Team OZCAT fame. Reluctantly picking up a few caches here and there. Tftc
Out with a mate cruising around and grabbed this more or less on the way past, Thanks Bingley
Called past, all ok with cache, amazing amount of water in the pool, even after a very dry summer....
Day four away with my kayak, but today there was no paddling on the cards. Today was about the Warbys. The track in was not shown on my maps, even though another one was shown, but didn't actually exist. (This seems to be the pattern for this area). No problem finding the cache - all in good order.
My thanks to Bingley3683 for the cache.

Liked the swaps but didn't take any left a journey stone. Good hide and nice location
Spent the afternoon exploring the warbys and finding some caches. This was our last for the day. A quick find - although we were worried about snakes! TFTC
About time I had a look in this section of the park. Plenty of water running in the spring today.
A pleasant location.

#2601 Following a nice drop of rain in the previous 24 hours or so, it was good time to visit The Spring. And Springing it was . A nice short stroll down the eroding track, just need to make sure you avoid webs and their residents along the way. Lots of fallen timber surrounding gz but the cache is safe. Emptied a little bit of water out of the cache container, however the logbook and contents are all in good condition. Slowly making our way through all the caches in the Warbys, TFTC Bingley.
The spring continues to trickle down into the waterhole, but no wildlife in sight today. The cache was quickly located. TFTC

It dry out here, but the spring still trickles on.
Today there are thousands of bees are utilising the spring for a drink, and some are out of their depth and have met their demise.
The second ex Purpledreamer container I have found today, good to see they are still active.
Picked up TB to move on. Cheers.

Found on a hot day after a bushwalk in the area.
Nice to find this one as we were finding out more about Purple Dreamer 2 nights ago.
Tranquil and reflective place. TFTC

I came to this side of the ranges with My geo children and Geogranni with another cache as my target today, so once we had that under our belt we did a couple on the way out. I had spent some time in the ranges around Mt. Bruno but not this side. We were presently surprised to see the Xanthorrhoea growing beside the track. Geo son located the cache and was stoked to find a path tag. We let the red back out for a wander SL TFTC Bingley3683 TBV
I was being taken on an adventure today by my daughter and grandchildren. This cache was one of them many happy memories from this part of the world TFTC Bingley 3683 SL TNLN TBV
A loop around the Warby Ovens National Park with BettyBoo3747 on our deadly treadlies. Starting near Boweya Road, and going clockwise around the four caches.
We parked near the cattle yards at the entrance to the Park. No cattle here today but BB spotted two emus and three fairly large chicks. There was also a flock of sheep all with their tails - a rare sight these days.
A short ride to the spring. Parked and grabbed the cache before either of us noticed the spring! Flowing fairly well with all around so dry.
Not sure I would call that bison a small! As bisons go it is a big one.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7502. After dropping Rob's car at Tarrawingee we continued in the geoMazda to the Warbies to gather a few Bingley caches. Mountain bikes are the order of the day and what a fabulous day for it, bright blue skies, pleasant temperature and no wind.
We parked near the old Stockyards and were just about to start the ride when I saw a tall neck pop up past the yards. It was mum emu with 3 half grown chicks and dad was off in the distance. This was a good start to the day.
Nice easy riding to this first cache and we completely missed the lush green spring on the way there but noticed it as soon as we turned around to head back to the bikes. Quite amazing, considering how dry and hard the rest of the ground through the park.
I recognised the purpledreamer container straight away, from a long-gone hide.
Thanks Bingley3683

A perfect autumn day for a walk in the Killawarra Forest and a great setting for a cache. To my surprise it also contained a Trackable - the Pink Panther (TB455KK). TFTC
This morning,
I sprung into action,
to find The Spring,
in Spring
I enjoyed a short stroll,
from the main track,
with a spring in me step,
to The Spring
GZ lived up to its name !!
A steady trickle of water is ...
springing up from the ground.
And making everything green for a couple of hundred metres downstream
TFTC !!
I dropped of Pink Panter TB !!

Love the Warbys but never been to quite this spot before , so thanks Bingley for a golden day for a golden opportunity. The golden wattles were just beginning to flower, i found a golden smiley and thanks to Mrs Harrowang a bonus golden pathtag
Like tattboy we had been watching this all day, knowing that we would not get out to find it until after 2pm. It was still not logged when cicada (from Squidsader) and harrowang set out for Yarrawonga. So a detour was in order and we duly signed log at 3 pm after discovering that MVYRMND and tattboy had beaten us to the FTF. The Spring is certainly working today as we had to sidestep plenty of watery places in order to find GZ. A pleasant spot in the Killawarra Forest. TFTC Bingley. #1607 Now off to Yarrawonga with no more delays.
I'd seen the cache go live the night before, but decided against going in the middle of the night, as it was outside of my 'kill-zone'
Tattboy sent me a message at lunchtime saying he'd be knocking off early and heading up, and wanted to know if I'd go with him. I was out and about for work, but managed to sneak off with him for a quick find during my 'lunchbreak' (ahhh flexible working hours!).
I got there and back without work noticing I was skiving off
TFTC!
