We rented out our holiday home and will not be visiting port Fairy so often. This means we won’t be able to maintain the cache so easily. Sadly we decided to retire what has been a popular cache.
On my 4th visit to Port Fairy, I wanted to tick these caches on the bike trail off my list. This was a nice straightforward one, helped by the fact that it was in the first part of the area that I looked in!
Found 27 December 2022 @ 9:24 am with Scubacapers.
Quick find here today before the snakes came out to play.

Nice easy find on a wet and windy weekend exploring the Warnambool area on Melbourne Cup weekend 22 while most of the state was Flooding. Tftc
Staying at the nearby Big 4 and rest of the family sleeping in, I decided to come and grab this. Without a bike, I parked at Toolong Rd and walk down to GZ dodging rabbits everywhere on this beautiful Sunday morning. Log book signed quickly and heading back to the car and off to get a cappuccino for my reward. TFTC Flyfish44
Last day caching around Warrnambool.
Just had a few to clean up before I left.
A very quiet path today. I was the only one here!
There wasn't even any trolls at home!
Thanks, Robmc.

Great weather for walking through and around Port Fairy and of course finding a cache or two. No trolls, no snakes, but we did find the cache container and the log scattered about - and the lid lying some meters away - all is back safely now.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Cache could do with some TLC!
Thanks Flyfish44 for placing this cache some 9 years back and keeping it maintained on the gameboard.

Good co-ordinates made this one a quick find. Cache had some water in it which I drained out as best I could. The log in the plastic bag was okay though.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Unfortunately the lid is missing and the cache was full of water so I was able to write my name in the log but I flip it upside down with a rock on top hoping for a drain out a little bit thanks for placing
Another quick find on our way to Koroit. There is no lid on the container so some maintenance is needed.
In Warrnambool to visit family and ride the Port Fairy to Warrnambool rail trail.
Rode from Warrnambool to Koriot(and return) on Wednesday. Best part was around Kelly’s swamp and along the Merri River.
Today we rode from Koriot to Port Fairy and return. Much nicer ride through grazing country. After coffee and lunch in Port Fairy we head back to Koriot. Found quickly TFTC

A nice flat 650m walk to the bridge. This older cache is standing up well to the elements.
Thanks Flyfish44

Found on a nice bike ride waiting for the clouds to blow over. Not too snakey today but would be careful in the heat with lots of long grass about. TFTC!
Tftc. Definitely a family find. Thanks also forthepen, much needed as I left ours in the car.
Easy to find, gorgeous location! Don't we live in a beautiful part of the world
Our stay is coming to a end but there are two caches to be found along the old rail trail so while the NGW (Non Geocaching Wife) wandered along the shops the ageing Bushfire decended on the closest to town and the cache was soon located so now about the next one.
Not having the Mountain Bike with me I decided to drive to the closest Road and wander the 6 or 650m to the bridge and found the hide in the first place that I looked. If this cache ever goes mising then there is a great hidey spot above the area where it is now.
Thanks again South-West for placing. Time to head back to Geelong tomorrow but first some "High Tea" with a wonderful view.

Yes it was an easy find.
Not like riding into the wind on the rail trail.
Thanks for the cache, it is in a good state.

Despite threatening skies, we decided to walk about 600m from where we parked the car to GZ. Once there, accurate coordinates and the name of the cache led to a quick find of a good sized cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Flyfish44 for the cache.
Quick find today while passing through the area.
Nice walk in from the main road. A very warm day as we head towards winter.
Container and contents in good order.

Grabbed along our travels in this great country. Sorry, but not much of a geography lesson here as we are from Warrnambool. TFTC Flyfish44.
2511hwh found the cache a few days ago with grandchildren and friends.
Luca and Archie want to heartily thank the cachers who placed two beautiful little cars in this cache. They have provided much enjoyment while holidaying at Port Fairy.

Found with The Finders 5. I was not ready for a walk. Why did I choose jeans today? A bit too warm.

After trying, unsuccessfully, to drive as close as possible to this one, we resorted to actually reading the cache description [:o]! Realising what was required we parked at the closer end of the trail and made our way in. geoD is a keen cyclist so will have to come back to do this rail trail in earnest one day.
