We tackled that one the hard way, but at least we got some we exercise in. Cache in good condition. Tftc
This would be a great camp site, nice to see the water and swans here, lots of swans. An easy step down from the top, and the cache quickly located. TFTC!
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield Nat Park, Wyndham and the Gibb River Road.TFTC.A short quick pull over at the guard rail. A shot step down and cache was done.
We stayed here the night, alone, fantastic!Beautiful view across the river and sun rise was stunning. I left a car andsticker. STL TFTC
Well on the open road heading to Port Headland today. It was a warm one with the rental car suggestion 48 outside. The container is in good condition with a dry logbook inside. Thanks for the stop, I may need to find it again on the way back
Heading to Karratha for a job tomorrow morning. Stopped here and managed to find this one without too much trouble. Thank goodness as its 40. TFTC
After a bit of hunting and rock goat work we found it. TFTC Another along our journey.
An early morning rock scramble soon had me signing the log. Logbook needs a new ziplock bag. Tftc
Staying a few nights on the Sherlock River.
Found after a few false directions from the phone. TFTC

Travelling with richlink, north to Darwin, then down the middle again. Today, We moved to Port Hedland from Karratha and picked up couple of roadside caches along thr way. TFTC Mad Randells all in good order here.
Stopped at the south side of the river in the shade. Lovely place with lots of birdlike. On the way to GZ I saw 2 heron, 4 cormorants and a black Swan. TFTC
Someone nicely replaced this cache with a good container and it's in great condition. Good sized cache too, which is nice to see. However they forgot to take the shards of breaking down plastic of the previous cache with them for disposal, so I did that today. (You know, break down into micro plastic, wash into the very close river. Not good. Best disposed of sensibly.) The cache was in full view and in full sun when I approached GZ, but I left it covered out of the sun's rays to slow the break down of the new cache. TFTC MAD Randalls.
Had an RDO today, so grabbed a hire car for a days excursion down to Roebourne and Cossack.
A few possibilities here, but I managed a quick find before adding my name to the log and continuing my way south.

Day 23 of the long road trip from Perth to the Townsville Mega via the southern states and then back to Perth again via the northern part of Australia.
Today was basically from South Hedland along the main highway and up to Exmouth.
This cache found without problems. The log was signed and the cache returned as it was found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for cachers to find.

Great location! The cache is full of items and the log book was separated so took some items to move on to other caches and placed the log bag in the container. TFTC ️
Nice easy cache on our way back to port Hedland. Lots of water in the river!
Sorting out a few forgotten logs - sorry for the delay, Thanks for another cache
Travelling through the Pilbara and soaking up the sights. Heading off from Tognolini Pass free camp to Karratha and finding a few caches along the way.
No roosters and quite a bit of water. I spent much time looking lower than where the cache was.
MAD Randalls, I found Sherlock River today. Thanks for placing and maintaining

Came at it from the top and made a quick find. A surprising amount of water in the river. TFTC MAD Randalls
An early morning stop we parked close to GZ and after a little scouting around we spotted a likely hidey place which revealed the replacement container. All good here log signed and replaced as found. Thanks MAD Randalls.
This was a memorable stop on our way home from Marble Bar, the scenery was magnificent with the river flowing along beautifully, but while I was signing, axell33 was making friends! He was met by two lovely roosters who popped out from under the bridge, we were surprised to see them but they acted like they knew us and followed us across the road......as cool as could be! Told them to stay off the road and went on our way. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Baldivis.
We were finally free to hit the open roads and cache our way home to Baldivis after being flooded in at Marble Bar for over a week. We stopped to hunt this cache down and parked near gz. After a brief search we turned up the prize and while Leega was taking care of the signing duties I thought I’d venture closer to the river to get some pictures when I heard a call from under the bridge. I thought surely not being so far away from any farm or homestead but with hardly any coaxing these 2 good looking roosters came wandering out from under the bridge. I know roosters aren’t rare and unique creatures but I definitely didn’t expect to find them here in the middle of no where. So they followed us around as if they were enjoying the company while we returned your cache back to where it resides and took some pictures. We said goodbye to our new friends and it was back on the road for us. TFTC MAD Randalls.
Great spot. No need to go down the bottom like I did. Can easily park up at the barriers and access from the top. TFTC
Stopped for a stretch and to find this cache while on our long driving trip from Perth to Port Hedland then Newman and back to Perth. Stopped at the bottom of the rocks and climbed - would have been easier to start at the top lol!
Read the previous notes that the cache was in need of maintenance - the handmade container was destroyed. I had a spare container, though not as crafty as the original. I put the log in a new zippy bag and all the swaps into the replacement container and left it in the place of the broken pieces.
Thanks for the beautiful spot to stop.

We found it on our way to Port Hedland.
The Container is completely broken, but the hiding place is good enough to keep the logbook dry.

Could the next finder bring a 1L sistema or a screwtop container here. This container is a bit buggered. Everything all dry here. Didn’t wanna unpack the car on the side of the road when it was reading 47 degrees.
Took the drive from Broome to Karratha today, after a nice breakfast we decided it was time to head off on the 850km journey. Only had two stops on this journey for caches - both dnfs from my trip to Cravo to the northwest in 2017. Managed to make amends for both and moved into Karratha.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Heading south, made a quick find after a bit of scrambling over the rocks. Thank you MAD Randells for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
Out with m4yb after completing the GRR, we are now slowly heading home getting a cache or 3 on the way. Nice quick find in a lovely spot overlooking a fullish river.
Thanks for the hide & smiley

Great spot to stop to stretch the legs. Terrific to see so much water, too. TFTC
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 21. Having traveled so far yesterday, I had plenty of time to visit Cossak & Wickham on the way to Karratha for the night.
It was still early and my enthusiasm was high so I stopped and looked for this rock bound cache I had missed two years ago. Today it was in hand immediately. It must have been a more favorable sun angle ...
Thanks.

Day 8 of my trip from Perth, Exmouth ,port Samson to Newman ... I Thanks to all the COs for placing caches along my journey ......
Spring is here and it is starting to get a little humid up around Port Hedland, so it is time for me to start making my slow journey south for the summer and to pick up a few on the way. I headed straight for the logical spot for a cache on a bridge and was very embarrassed to find I was going in completely the wrong direction. A smart about-turn and soon had the blighter in hand. After crossing a number of bone-dry rivers, I was surprised to find quite a bit of water in this one. TNLNSL TFTC MAD Randalls
A river with water in it! What a surprise. Could find the cache with the help of my husband. Thanks for the cache.
the cache container has been replaced ,it was located up resting on the bridge railing. It is now in rocks as we viewed previous photos. There is a spoiler photo.
TFTC. Sl. Found it @ 10 meters away near the bridge in plain site. Have put it back over in the rocks by phone gps as close to gz as possible. Spoilers photo.
Couldn't find this one. Had a red hot search for this one but with very hot rocks and conflicting messages in the comments we couldn't find it. Searched all around the closest tree but couldn't grab it.
Looked all around but could not locate this one. Maybe the grasshoppers carried it off. They certainly hampered our efforts to find the cache. Lol. Beautiful place with all the water from recent rains.
Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, as a child I used to swim in this river.... many years ago I might add..... thanks for the memories and TFTC
A very quick find for TWO who decided to help after I had failed over 15 or so minutes of looking. The cache was not found in the rocks. SL and returned to the car (and caravan). There was a dead cow below that was a little high otherwise I may have gone down there for lunch and some photos. Lots of water in the river. Thanks to MAD Randalls for the cache.
We didn,t stop as not been found by the last 2 Caches also no where to stop with a caravan on behind,?????
West Australia 2016 trip. Day 10. A hot Humid night in Auski and now the drive via Hedland to Karratha. The thing that made the most impression today was all the trucks along the road, constant traffic. Too many rocks for me and too hot to stay too long.
Thanks.

Looked under every rock near where the photos were taken and about a 10m radius of the location. Couldnt find it try again another day
Nice easy find to break up the trip. Not much water in the river this time of the year
The big move from Townsville, QLD to Mandurah, WA. After thousands of km's and lots of caching to keep us entertained, we are on our way to Newman to spend a few days with family.
Thanks for putting caches along this route to give us a chance to stretch our legs and escape the car for a while!
