Stopped here on the way up to Tathra, because the favourites suggested it was worth a look. Stared for a while, and discussed where a wheelchair friendly hide could possibly be. Puzzled over the name, which other logs said was significant. And then it all twigged, and we were signing this cunning hide. Thanks dghoffy - the favourites are well deserved.
Great find.Worth the 4 visits.Completely stumped me.4 visit and a nice jelly fish sitting in the water.
Staying in Tathra for two nights on our ten day caravan journey. A quick find once at GZ, but it's a good one!Great idea! Thanks for the cache
Found with gmj3191 who was quickly on to the tricky hide. Thanks for the fun and for bringing us here.
Find # 8,560 for me on 24 Mar 2024 at 4:33pm. This cache was found on our Canberra Mega adventure. After leaving Melbourne with PamJ in our little caravan, the plan is to stay a couple of nights at Bemm River, then a few more at Pambula before cruising into Canberra. This cache was found as part of this journey. Cunning little cache, but we found it. Thanks dghoffy, for giving back to the game. *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
What a beautiful spot! We had it all to ourselves and the swans thanks to the wet weather.Found with Jomingara. Thanks for the clever hide and for bringing us here.
Found with Sharanyaexpress on the way to Melbourne from Tathra. We were grateful for the logs to figure this one out. It's caches like these that make geocaching memorable. We drove down to the Boatshed and saw some wallabies. Thanks for the great cache
Very very clever hide, knew it had to do with the name. TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it Gets a from us
A lovely spot with plenty of ducks, swans and a couple of pelicans Clever hide. TFTC
#12740 16:05I did not take long for me to spot the cache. Great hide and worth a favourite point for location! After logging we continued along the road to Turingal Head for some exploration. Unfortunately it was too windy for a dip in the ocean. But we did spot a few kangaroos between the sand dunes.TFTC
Luckily I had the right idea. As reward I sat on the beach nearby for an hour and relaxed!?!TFTC.
Caching down the south coast for a few days. TFTC.
Very clever hide. I amazed myself finding it quickly.

I stopped by here on my back to Canberra after a weekend in Merimbula to do the Wharf to Wharf walk. Cache soon found. Cleverly hidden. TFTC.

Not sure what a reverse tardis is not being a big Dr who fan but that was a bloody cleaver hide. Knew it had something to do with reflections and we soon worked it out. Parking on the side of the road felt a bit dodgy but thankfully it didn’t take us long to sign the log and off we went to see the view from the end of the road. Thanks for a clever hide. Giving a favourite for creativity. Found with Abstaria
Nifty hide so great to write an appreciative find with GEOJoh today on a spectacular winter day. TFTC!
Checked out the famous enclosed beach nearby and had a swim at its long neighbouring beach. Stayed locally before making a speedy find, thankfully before I got reverse Tardised by one of the passing cars

Took us a few minutes and thought about what about this, first time I’ve seen a cache like this!
Haha, that was a funny cache. I knew I was looking in the right spot, but couldn’t work it out. I put reverse tardis in google for a hint…. It gave me the Urban Dictionary description, well, it wasn’t that. It was the Wikipedia description that helped. Thanks for nice cache!

Great reflections on a very very full lake today. Stopped a bit further up the road and walked back for a bit of a search. No luck initially so I retreated to the car and advised Mrs Facit that I had failed, as we drove back along the road I decided that I needed to return to a spot I searched so I stopped the car, jumped out and within seconds had the cache in hand.
A quick log and we were off again.
Thanks dghoffy

Day 11 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains. Afterwards we headed towards Eden and a visit to the coast.
After staying in Eden over night and making a visit to Green Cape this morning, we turned north to begin the long run home. The cache location certainly lived up to its name today with barely a ripple on the water giving off great reflections of the skies (see photo). I was fortunate that a recent caching expedition over Easter gave me some experience with a similar style of hide and it didn't take long to home in on the logbook for signing. TFTC

Heading up to Bermagui today via a stop in Tathra. First cache for the day and yet another clever hide. Tftc! Fav point awarded for this one.
Finally found by geohubby. Geowife suggested where and hubby did the final hunt and sign. Very clever hide. TFTC
In 10+ years of caching I've managed to find 6 d3 t1s. And today I found two - funny how it goes ...
Nice cache - up to your usual standard

Taking a few of the roads we don’t normally whilst we are in the area and have been pleasantly surprised with some fabulous views. What a Great Lake this is. Cache was found no problems, it’s slightly damp but signable. I think a few warm days will sort it out no problems. Tucked away safely for the next finder. Cheers.
Touring around NSW with our van Hilda the HiAce. Last night we stayed in Candelo and this morning we made our way here. This was really clever cache! Tftc and favo!
Clever little hide. Had cache in hand fairly quickly. Only 2 cars passed by while we were looking. Nice sunny day for caching.
Sunshine and an opportunity to go caching, what a great combination. After parking the caravan at the Bega showground (where we will be for a few days) we were out finding caches. Got this one after a short search, fav point alloc. Scenery beautiful. Our thanks to dghoffy for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Out and about caching and while down around here with friends, we stopped to look for this cache. Friends were interested, however had not taken up joining. Since finding this cacher they have joined up and now are cachers.
Well I have looked for this cache about 3 years ago without luck. This time, it too took some time. Which side of the road do you look for this cache. Close to giving up for the 2nd time, I took a hunch and thought , could it be here. Such a uplifting experience. TFTC dghoffy. Giving a FP for location.

#48, nice hide, a bit easy as it is the same type as my first ever find. That took me an hour to work out! TFTC.
Luckily there were not too many places to hide a cache here and Astro soon had the logbook in hand. TFTC
Lots of reflections here this morning. Cool hide and breeze too.
Found on another epic caching loop with H423L which included the St Arnaud mega and many other magnificent Australian locations.
Thanks dghoffy and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

This is the cleverest thing ever. You are raising the bar very high for making good caches! It was the name of this one that led us to it pretty quickly. Awesome. Love your work.
Easy find.
Staying at Hobart Beach Camping Ground, Bournda N/P, thought I would Kayak my way across the lake to collect this Cache while enjoying this beautiful area. Plenty of bird life to be seen.
Have seen this type of hide once before, a great idea.

Third day of my far south coast road trip. A start in Eden today with some numbers in the VB series before slowly working my way north again. Again good quality caches all day, thanks for that. Seen this one!

I'm an Aussie living in Japan. Today I"m back visiting and staying with family in the area, My Granny used to live in Kalaru and I always enjoyed bushwalking around the area. Today I went bushwalking in the area for the first time in about 30 years so it was very enjoyable to do it. This time with the extra joys of geocaching. I went for a 9 hour walk and this was my 9th cache of the day Even though I only cache with paper maps and no phone or GPS, I was still able to find the bugger, because I read the logs and they gave me an idea. Even though my idea was right, I still walked passed it and had to come back again. It was even more tricky then I expected. I remember as a kid my family often came to the lake for prawning. Once when I was about 4 years old, I fell of the jetty and almost drowned. So not really good memories here. TFTC.
With BomEm on a Mtb and caching trip.
Almost contemplated going in the tunnel.
Then took a moment to zero in my caching mojo and soon had this tricky hide exposed.
Saw one like this on the hume hwy.
Gets a fav from me!

I parked the geomobile a ways from the cache
So I could enjoy the smelly storll along the lake shore for a while [XX(]
The nearby residents must get used to the smell,
but it's like living next to an Abattoir
After me stroll the cache was soon found
A clever disguise which didn't fool me [^]
TFTC and a bit of lakeside scenery !!

A little bit of lateral thinking and the cache was in hand, lucky though because my coords nearly had me digging up the road at one stage. A brilliant fun cache. Thanks.
Another fun cache and a great hide, ive only ever seen 1 other like it.nicely done

My last find for the day. All I can say is nasty and devious. So nasty in fact it earns a fav point from me. TFTC.
We simply had to divert off the main highway to come and search for this one, which we soon found once at Ground Zero - but only because we came across this uniquely Australian hide earlier in our current travels! We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the very clever cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Looking at previous logs I felt confident that both the location and hide would make this one worth stopping in for, and it didn’t disappoint. A fun find thanks dghoffy.
Aaaarrrrggghhhh!!!! That nearly had me stuffed! The second place I looked but almost 40 mins later after digging out a storm drain and climbing up an embankment I found it! Just had to be guided by the clues more! , awesome hide, well done!
Ha ha, love the pun! Luckily found this one quickly on a absolutely beautiful day. Kids are paddling in the lake now. Thanks for this fun cache, a favourite point from us
Finally, after many many attempts, we’ve found this sneaky little cache! It’s such a creative hide. No wonder we couldn’t find it before
Only seemed to be one possible spot to hide a cache and there it was. Very well created and well-worth a FP. TFTC dghoffy.
Climbed up the cliff on the side of the road trying to find this one. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure this was definitely the wrong place. Falling down the cliff afterwards wasn’t very “fun” either.
After returning from travel a week ago I find my feet still itchy, so here I am driving, caching 3 hours or so from home. Actually a daytime drive turned into a weekend trip.
The GPS originally sent me across the road but the cache was soon in hand once things got straightened. This cache is like one I saw on the hwy a while ago so was a quick find.
It certainly is a lake
... and what a smell. Not something I'd like to live beside.
Cache found quickly and in good condition

Found on my around the SST. A great series to do. Enjoyed the different kind of hides. A clever hide. Even managed to see an echidna in the wild yippee
Found with justjessie on a long weekend get together. second and a favourite of our cache hunt. TFTC

This lake wasn't on our planned explorations this holiday, but when an unexpected phone call came, needed to kill a few Hrs in order to avoid peak traffic in Sydney.
Had me puzzled for a minute, until I remembered a little bird telling me once about another cache.

This was our first cache for the day on our way to the SST series. I had a suspicion that might be it (co ords were spot on). Great hide! Fav point here. Tftc
I went out here on a reconnaissance mission to see with the night time pawning would be like but did not expect to find such a cleverly hidden and well constructed geocache! Definite favourite point from me. TFTC
Had us working hard for a while before spotting the clever hide, a fav point well earned.
I have never been out to see this lake and was surprised how huge it is. We went past GZ, noting some likely spots, then turned around when possible and parked past GZ, right where an echidna was checking out the food options in a pile of wood. Leaving MrsFish there to take multiple photographs, I walked up the road and checked out possible locations, noting a discrepancy that turned out to reveal a very well hidden cache. Back at the car, MrsFish had stood still for long enough to encourage the echidna to relax and walk around again, really cute. Thanks dghoffy for bringing us out to this great place and an excellent hide.
My gps was all over the place. Managed to zero in on the cache thanks to reading some other logs. Once i got us close geo hubby quickly noticed things not quite right! A very clever hide - this is our first find with this type of cache. TFTC
Tricky but the name says it all. Great views how lucky are we to have a magnificent country. TFTC
A great view and an even better cache bi don't think that I would have got this without the Scarlet Leprechaun. She said What about this. I said no. It was there! TFTC
I would to see djH's workshop! Another inventive container. Loved it & another Fav. Kutgw
We are both grinning now that we have found the cache. Very clever. We almost gave up. Cache number 95 and closing in on 100. (And getting excited though feeling a little inadequate given this was number 500 for a previous finder).
Very good hide and the first one like this I have found.
Took a few minutes to realise how it must be hidden.

After a visit to wallagoot gap and the beach we thought we would take the kids fora treasure hunt so tired to find this one. We were convinced it must have something to do with the road side reflectors but couldn't find the cache.
Great hide. Great spot. Had to dodge a few cars but was worth it. A fav for sure. Tftc!
#500!!- We thought it would be fitting for this milestone cache to be owned by the same person which owned our first FTF. Big ups to DG, thanks for keeping us occupied whilst at the south coast.
That was a great hide. Here with HennyGeo from Canada on holidays in beautiful Australia . TFTC

We didn't notice this cache further down when doing the newly placed BFH series, so after finishing the leg of the SST trail we were up too we decided to drive down this road once more to make the find.
I told Ambi666 that I knew where the cache was hidden right away. The title of the cache gave it away for me because I have found about 2-3 identical caches with similar names.
It is a really good hide! Just seems to work perfectly! Almost like it was made for a cache.
TFTC, an interesting location. The water is so close to the road! There is nothing stopping you from just driving straight into it!
