Out with Gullivers Travels54 today to grab a few smiles. Found this cache pretty easy with new coords. Thank you for placing this cache here. It is a nice archived smile. Tftc.
Out and about today to locate solved puzzles and also some archived caches with Cantcacheus 2014 , found quickly with new Co-ords TFTC
Geo-daughter and I thought we'd sneak off and find this while the boys were fishing.. Spent about 20min but could not find.. The old wreck was worth the walk though.
FOUND IT!! After a DNF we went back and collected the fishermen to do the whole circuit. We weren't even going to go back to this one but geo-boy wanted to see the old car. While hubby and two geo-kids were playing I thought I'd have another look.. Time was going by and everyone was getting bored. Enough was enough everyone wanted to go home so off they all Went. I thought to myself, I'll look for another 2min and catch up. About 30 seconds later from half way down the hill I hear a loud, "found it!" My first thought was that they were trying to trick me into leaving.. Then 2 more voices joined in yelling, "found it" and sure enough half way back down the hill (40m from GZ) were the rest of geo-family holding the cache... My first reaction was an obvious, 'what the..?' It was just sitting on a tree branch.. Signed the log and returned to a bit higher up the hill where coordinates kept taking us.. Owner might need to reposition because I obviously don't know where the original spot was so just put at best guess!! Happy hunting
I've spent several hours over a few visits looking for this cache. I've had a previous finder taunting me over it and offering to bring me here and show me the cache. But I've not been convinced that it was still there.
That was until early this afternoon when a notification that it had been found, but some distance away from where it should be. I felt vindicated but I also had a burning need to go out and find it while I knew it was there and before it had a chance to wander again.
So Miss 12 and I jumped in the Jazzy mobile and headed over. I didn't bother with the GPS. I knew where the coordinates would take me so I headed right there. But I didn't find it.
Argh! I was about to pull out the phone and carefully reread the previous log when Miss 12 who had gone for a bit of a wander, found it.
These are the coordinates that worked for me today. It is not hanging in a tree as I believe it was supposed to be but is under a fallen tree root.

Several dnf in a row by very experienced cachers. Needs a check to confirm.
With 4 sets of caching eyes and after 45 minutes of searching we couldn't find the cache.
Out with GT54 today finding a few caches. Not today but with so many dnf maybe the Co should check it.
Would have been a nice car in its day ... but alas, the cache proved elusive!
Are we, the recent cache hunters , all blind?
Are we, the recent cache hunters , all blind?
I came back for another look armed with a hint from a previous finder but still couldn't find it. I haven't given up yet though
Rick and I had already found two quiet easily and we were feeling quiet confident. We walked past the entry area and had to turn around. We made our way into GZ and looked for about an hour. We couldn't find it.
Headed to this one next.
Found the wreck and geopartner thought it looked like a 007 car even though it could do with a paint job.
Looked around and spotted the cache.
Signed the log and returned log to container.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Chizzi and Surge Forward All good with this cache

Found with Maggs2005 and visiting geo-dog while the rest of the family were off paddling in the river. It took us a while to find the cache because of its tricky location and camouflage. Thanks for the cache!!
Found with TheGeoSnake and visiting geo-dog while the rest of the family kayaked down the creek. Had a lengthy discussion with geo daughter about why the wreck might be there and how on earth it got there!! We poked about here and there....so many possible locations for a cache! A suspicion formed about what this hide might be.....the right look from the right angle, and there is was. TFTC
I love finding old car wrecks in the middle of the bush. It seems to be a geocaching specialty. However, I was unable to convert this one to a smiley
I must have read every single log and searched every log, tree and stick within a 20m radius but still came up with nothing. Why are all these logs so vague? Can no one say it's in a log, it's at eye level, it's 50m away from where it should be? Just one simple hint?
I spent about 90min searching for the blasted thing before finally giving up because it was lunchtime and my stomach was growling menacingly at me.
I will definitely be back though. It will not beat me

I was pretty determined that this was the one cache I wasted to find today due to the spelling challenge I would like to complete. We were quite intrigued as to how long the car had been sitting there. We started our search, me in one direction and Mentrietash and Menstrieben in the right direction, all while still carrying the geopuppy who was practically passed out by this stage. We looked up, we looked down, we looked in trees, stumps, under grass, there was just such a vast area to search it was a bit hard to take in. I tries to take advise from a previous log and sat down and let my eyes wander to see if I can spot the out of place item. Eventually Mentrietash came to another conclusion and while pointing asked "is that what we're looking for?" I could hardly believe my eyes, it was absolutely what we were looking for. Happy smiles all around, thanks for an interesting search!
I was ready to give up but menstrietash spotted with her super eagle eyes, easy once you know, tftc
5/10/15 The last day of school holidays and geoboy and I decided to go for a short bush walk with the geodog (and I was hoping to grab the last few unclaimed caches here). We set off and arrived at gz easily enough. I had been here once before, early in my geocaching finds with no luck. This time I had more experience and I knew I had a PAF if needed. I started the search and thankfully the compass was being kind. A look here and there and nothing. I read a couple of the most recent logs - hmmmm. I decided more than a 2 dimensional look was needed. I noted the 'from the right angle' comments. I decided to just wander and try not to think, but just to see and suddenly I could see everything, including the cache. Geoboy was happy to retrieve it for me as this type of retrieval is right up his alley. Very glad to have a smiley here and super happy I didn't need to use my PAF. TFTC Chizzi
Very good spot for a great hide had to sit back and think on this one and then it just stood out and yelled here I am TFTC
Took us about 20 minutes to find this one. Read a couple of the other logs and looks like we weren't he only ones that found this one tricky. Good hide, thanks.
This one eluded us today... we will need to broaden the search area on the next visit!
This is certainly a very, very old wreck, I wonder how long it's been here.
My phone refused to settle on a definite gz, probably due to all the tree cover. I guesstimated where I should be and then searched all around. Then I widened my search area and searched in several directions. Finally I stood still and let my eyes roam over the terrain looking for anything that looked slightly out of place - and there it was!
Simple but very effective camo, great hide.

Back again today for another crack at this one - armed with a bit of research from old logs and a "think outside the box" spirit. We found a likely-ish area and searched and searched. Geokid Mitchell had had enough after about half an hour. I wanted to persevere for a little longer. Like many others before me, I had walked past the spot numerous times, totally oblivious to what was there and then when I too had had about enough and wasn't really looking anymore, there it was!!!! For those who are struggling, don't give up!! Things aren't always as they seem. Thanks Chizzi for a great cache.
Searched around for ages but no joy. Phone battery nearly dead so came home and read lots more logs. Now I want to go back but it's dark. Another time.
The third cache on our walk along this trail. We soon worked out where we needed to leave the trail to reach GZ. It took a bit of time to find this one and quite unexpected where it was. We added our name to the log and replaced cache before continuing on our way. TFTC
OH look, sunshine.
Who would of thought a day or so ago with Tropical Cyclone Marcia bearing down on us[?]
So I headed out caching.
I am slowly making my way south.
I have looked for this cache before, after some searching ( and reading a few logs) I widened my search area.
I eventually found the cache.
Unfortunately time and the elements have effected the 'efficiency' of this cache. The CO will need to do a little maintenance to return this cache to its original 'idea'.
Thanks for the cache.

My goodness this has required searching! This visit was the fourth one here, totaling 2+ hours of intense search. Sometimes it really takes time to win... [^]
Decided to score just one cache today, one nasty that's been waiting for long, and this was to be it. I had plenty of time today, up to two hours if required, and determination to make this a find at last.
Armed with knowledge from some other finders that this is a bit away from the GZ, went to the coords first and then paced towards the assumed offset. Picked up a stick, started to poke the ground by the tree bases, stumps, fallen logs, all typical hiding spots. Turned around a number of logs, wandered back and first, peeked into holes, tried all nooks and crannies, hugged trees to see if it's hidden behind bark, hugged and kissed the ground and spoke softly to see what it might tell me.
Widened the search area to various angles and distances, also to impossible locations. Then it happened!!! The glimpse that had escaped me so many times!!! The one, the only, the desired!!! The question "what's that little extra over there???"
On my way back towards the offset from from one of my wider searches my eyes caught an irregular shape, an object that would not normally grow in forests.
Now, reflecting back on the number of times I've been right by the container without noticing it, one must move from simple school arithmetics to mathematics and infinite number spaces. Geez, this was such a simple but really effective trick. A fav point for the deceit and run-around you've given me with such a straightforward hide, Chizzy!
Happy to finally get this off the list. It's been more than a year coming and now I can sleep better again. All good in the container. TFTC!

Hoping to clear up this little corner but sadly I was unsuccessful. I will come back another day.
Out and about on a fine Sunday to find a few caches.
I parked opposite the cache 'My Whird, that road is busy' and crossed through the fence. This is my last area for the day.
And so I started the loop but after quite some searching I could not find this one either.
Must be tired.

I was training at Whyte Isalnd all this week. We had a late start today, so I had some time to track down some more caches before I started.
The last cache I found was called totally stumped, b ut that was more appropriate here. I did a lot of circle work here. And some more. I think I read every log and did some more circles
I looked in all sorts of places. Some logs helped, but not much really. Finally I made a PAF, but she could not remember the cache location , but maybe she could lok for a photo. I hung up and started doinbg some more ciricles.
OH!!! What is that!!! Found it. Ring the PAF back to tell her not to worry

Took a while to locate this one. GPS said here but it was over there. Took a while to think outside the square. Had found a few that day and all at the same height so was looking in places it wasn't. Must have walked past it a number of times till the old eyes spotted it. Well done. That took some thought but it was there all the time....
Bargum! High low middle low searching everywhere! About to give it and there it was!
Finally, finally found. with Toozey. 2nd visit.
Guided by previous logs I knew that we had the correct GZ. But where was it. Then Toozey made a fantastic spot! Great!!!! Ok well let's sign the log and go get food. Give me the pen please? What pen????? Doh!!!
Back to the car. Back to the cache. Now where was it again. Grrrr!
Phew, at last. Now it's time for that treat.
Great hide and all is safe.

I found it. Love it. Very tricky. Previous logs help. You need as much as you can get. Great trip out with Tiki Touring. The 5 geokids are all enthusiastic. TFTC
Out for a caching session with the Nishes. This one took us a while, but Mrs Nish found at pretty much the spot we thought, given the logs. Very well hidden, and worth a favourite point from us! TFTC.
A bit of spare time this afternoon so a great opportunity to wander around the tracks in this area looking for caches. Found GZ and after reading some logs relocated to a better spot. A short hunt the cache was located. Tftc.
Got me! Light was fading and I was struggling. Wreck looks like an old Triumph. Not in its heyday for sure. Will return another day!
Bush bashing the long way in. Read all the logs, know where is it not, fail to found where it is.
A cluster of green boxes here that need to be converted to yellow smilies
I parked next to my expected exit point and strolled around the corner and rolled under the fence. Heck, I had boots on and was going to get dirty anyway. This was the sixth in here and on the walk back to the car.
The cache was well off the coords but if you start where the GPSr puts you and walk in a SW direction, you may get lucky. I spent ages here and was about to give up when a friend called and suggested I take a bearing and keep my eyes peeled. It is a neat little cache and very tricky to spot. A bit too far off the coords for my liking I burnt off a few calories running in circles
TFTC Chizzi and surgeforward!

Could not find at all. Checked out everything within a 12m radius. Geokid's got bored and so had to retreat.
Another visit here, after getting some more pointed hints from a previous finder.
Good work, Chizzi, on this as it keeps evading my eyes. The camo must be first class.
Cut my losses short after 20 mins, only to be back some other time. TFTH!

Back for a further search, a recent bushfire must have spotted the "Old Wreck" and stopped. A clever hide, all's dry and in good condition...TFTC
Having dropped my three crookedkids at "tackers" sailing school and watched them sail down the harbour, it was time to grab some caches and get some exercise. This bit of bushland, with half a dozen caches, and some good bush tracks was perfect.
This was the last target in these parts and I was running out of time, so I needed a quick find. I hate micro's in the bush - it is like looking for a need in a haystack. Over time, all the bush gets trampled as well. And that is what it is starting to look like here.
Will be back with a hint from a previous finder I think.

Only one of the five in the reserve to elude me today. Will return when time permits.
Found @7:01:00 PM.
Missed this one last time but returned today with a bit of assistance from a fellow cacher. A very clever hide and not quite what I was expecting. Last time I never read the description correctly and spent half an hour searching the old car. Today we expanded the search about 12m from where our GPS indicated GZ and found the cache.
Thanks to Chizzi for the cache

I needed a find for my cache of the day and this one was close to the route that I was taking. I had reserved it for a day like this so I knew where to park for it.
I hadn't read the description or previous logs until I arrived at the search area and found that the GPS was not taking me to the wreck.
I then headed to the area where the GPS was pointing and trod on all the spots that the previous searchers had apparently trod but I couldn't locate the cache.
In the end I made a PAF call and was directed away from this search area. It still took a while before I located the sneaky hide. My GPS was indicating that I was 8-9 metres from the posted coordinates.
TFTC.

No joy for me today. I wandered around checking spots but finding nothing.
till next time.
till next time.
On my way in, I pondered the name, whether it refers to those old car bodies rusting away in the woodlands, abandoned, or something different. Soon this question was answered, and it was time to consider the cache, too.
Before starting to crawl through the place I read the description in case it gives away anything about an optimal approach. Well, good thing that it said to divert the attention a bit further away. This prompted me to check the compass, and yes, it showed quite a few meters away.
Over there went through the place with random movements, methodically, reading some older logs, trying to figure out what's been going on in the CO's mind, and what not. However, this time around no prize was presented, and after 20 mins decided to move to get some more smilies elsewhere while I still could.
Thanks for the walk & hunt, Chizzi!

My second weekend riding my bike around this area. The crookedkids are learning to sail at the nearby yacht club, so after dropping them off and watching them sail down the harbour, I hopped on the geobike for a ride.
Arrived here and searched for my allotted time. GPS was bouncing me around over 25 metres. Quite some evidence of searching by previous cachers. No luck for me today.

I found myself up here today with a heap of spare time and I was keen to find this one.I arrived and searched and wandered and thought,I had noticed a vital comment (not at,in or within 5m of wreck)which we never noticed last time, that eliminated that.
Kept looking,I'm not leaving without it,after 3/4 an hour a funny thing happened,it just appeared.
Funny once you know where it is,it's so obvious, absolutely love it,I give it a favorite point.TFTC.

Well Griffo and I had a big day, then we came to this one and read up on it,to me I was very excited, must find it,but we were now starting to run out of time and had to quit, but this is my sort of thing,to try and find what others can't.Will definitely be back soon.TFTC.
I went for a second look when the CO put out some info, that put my previous concerns to rest (excpet for the snake). Anyhow arrived at the old wreck, and had a look for the snake. Hmm not there. So where the hell was he! Anyhow I spent about 30mins of searching with no luck, though again my GPSr had me all over the place, but it did eventually settle.
In the end I conceded defeat, and hope now for third time lucky!

Arrived at GZ to find, well an old car wreck, with a lot of broken glass lying around. I wasn't keen to stick my hand in places as there were so many rusty jagged edges. That worked out well when I spotted the quite large red belly curled up in the boot. So that was the end of the hunt, as I was more than happy to leave him snoozing.
For future hunters beware! He was probably a good 1.5m long. And have good footwear!

Had a quick look and did not find. Read previous post and decided this may be too tricky for a quick grab. Time to move on.
Well didnt this one have me walking around in circles for some time. I think that I really did check every single place that every other person that come here has checked.
In the end it come down to having a chat with a friend who helped guide me a little bit more in the right direction. Finding that the coords might just be a little bit out.

Oh yay Joint *FTF* with Geosapiens & Whird.
There's something that grabs you about a cache every now & then. I saw this one published and was tempted to go and have a look.... but thought better of it. then at work I checked for found logs a few times, and was so keen to get out and had a look, but just couldn't get away from the office . When the DNFs started coming through I thought I might just get a crack on this Saturday morning. I messaged Geosapiens & 5 Meerkats assuming that we'd need as many sets of eyes as possible.
Met up with Mr Geosapiens & eldest geokid with my 2 and wandered through the bush down to GZ. We both got an approximate GZ and nothing for it but to get looking. About 15 minutes in and each of the geokids had asked if we could leave yet. Buckle up kids, we're gonna be here for a while . I may have promised a special lunch for some more search time .
The CO then popped in for a brief look. She was keen to make sure it was still there, given the DNFs, but left us to it. We tried to coerce a hint, but no such luck . Even Miss A without prompting says "you can just tell it where it is" ... Hmmm
Whird then joined in so we had quite a few of us scouring the area. I wondered if I should alter my approach, I was about to yell out my suggested change of plan to the others when the little blighter was staring back at me, in all it's glory .
I uttered those words all FTF hunters love to hear "found it!" Nice hide, I like the camo on this.
Thanks for the morning out, it was well worth a trip over here to catch up with Geosapiens & Whird and an FTF to boot .
Cheers Chizzi

Joint "FTF" this morning with PJATPAC and Whird.
After receiving a message from Mr PJATPAC to take a look at this one we met up after Geosons soccer.
We met at the desiganted spot and headed into GZ with the kids in tow. After a little bit into our search I received a message that the CO had just found our TB on the Geomobile. A little bit more searching and the Co arrived gave nothing away and left.
Whird soon joined the hunt and we continued for another 10 mins whn PJATPAC makes the call, "FOUND IT". A clever little hide indeed.
A nice clean page and we all signed the log.
TFTC and the hunt. Nice to meet you also

Joint FTF with Geosapiens & PJATPAC and their Geokids. Went out this morning to have another go at this one only to run into these other cachers looking for it already. After a bit more searching something out of the ordinary was spotted by the one of the group and we then quickly got it signed off our to do list.
Chizzi I am glad you upped the difficulty level 1.5 stars was a bit low. TFTC though..

Ok let me be the brave one to say I DNF. But I believe there have been a lot of people attending this cache as the area looks well worn now and the old wreck seems to be "picked clean" I am sure it was not like that last night when we had a look.
The trampling of the ground might have been me crawling all of the place looking in and out of everything I could. Still no luck though but will return some day soon and have another go.
Did however take a few photo's of the 63 EJ Holden that was looking very nice although it could do with a cut and polish, also saw some wild bees in one of the trees on the ground which I also got photo's of... Next time I go I'll take a zoom lens for all the birds in the area... That's the feathered kind not the hot kind... LOL

Came by early to Ground Zero. This is maybe where WWC started where all the cachers converged to seek out something on the Old Wreck!
Well I searched the wreck and I search where my phone decided GZ was. Repeated this several times with my only moment of thinking I'd figured it out being when I found that I could open the fuel cover still... but it wasn't there.
Thanks for the cache Chizzi.
