This area has become a haunt for free campers and partying youth. The cache is getting muggled too often despite good camo so time to farewell it.
Had good search. Couldn't find it. Hasn't been found so long maybe owner should check?
Had a good search from tree to tree to tree and everything inbteween but no luck today,
Its starting to get dark,I was thinking about calling it a night but decided to move on til I find somewhere better to camp out,
Cheers

This one evaded us today. We were focused on the small tree touching the fence with lots of gumnuts but nothing stood out. We decided to give up after a while and find some other caches instead. Sounds like it could be a tricky micro, oh well
Took a while then we decided it was gone started to walk away and saw it on the ground tftc
Found today. The valley was not only green, but brown and wet after the big rains. Cache dry and in good condition. TFTC dghoffy
On the way back home to Tassie. Left Narooma with the geovan in tow and grabbed this cache on the way to Merimbula, Thanks for replacing. It is a lovely view of the valley from here. Today it was very windy at the lookout. Loved the hide. TFTC
#4474 - 16:05; Day two of the Sapphire Coast run with fitzy_1965 and mtrax, to give the SST and BFH series a run, was drawing to a close. After spending the night in Bermagui, we collected the local multi before getting back onto the SST trail and heading south through Tathra and on to Bega. We completed the BFH trail and only had a couple to go on the SST trail as we headed out of Bega. This was a bonus as it had only been re-enabled yesterday and proved to be another nice quick find and more great views. TFTC dghoffy
10825. Found on a weekend run down the coast with mtrax and LuckyL10n to do the SST and BFH series and any other caches in between !
Second day of our run around the SST and BFH series. This was the next stop for the trip and one of the bonus caches we were to find. Quick find at GZ. Log signed, cache replaced, and we were on our way to the next one.
My thanks to my trip companions and all the cache owners for a great weekend !!
Thanks again dghoffy !!

No luck, had to move on as too tricky for us today, too little time and too many caches still to find. Thanks for the hunt.
I had a look for this one but I couldn't find it today. But there are some lovely views from up there, so all was not wasted.
My thanks to dghoffy for placing it.
My thanks to dghoffy for placing it.
We have made our camp at Bega & joined up with pprass to do the SST & others that we pass along the way in this pretty country side.
It was a very full day & we have done about half the track. Some great hides & a variety of containers.
We hd trouble reaching this cache so think the terrain of 1.5 is a little low.
Thanks for placing this cache dghoffy

Found at 9:16 AM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan.
It is very green around this district and just after summer as well!
Thanks dghoffy.
Feedback: Anything above head height should be a T of 2.0 - especially if you have to get up onto something to get it.

A quick find in a lovely spot. Had just finished replacing the cache when a vehicle arrived, it's all in the timing! TFTC
With the warm weather still around a plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to head off again on another adventure. We headed down from Canberra on Friday afternoon after getting an early mark from work. Our hotel was comfortable and after getting a good nights rest we were ready for day 2. Our plan today was to attack the SST trail and others along the way and hope that we find all of them.
Apologies for the generic log, we had a cracker of a time around this area. Thanks RW for another fun weekend away.
The SST trail contained some easy finds and some not so easy finds, which was great, we also enjoyed the various container sizes and types used. We collected all but one in the trail due to some muggles who were enjoying themselves a little too much for our liking to approach to conduct a search. Which means we will have to return another day to this lovely area to collect the last in the trail.

Plans were put into place to spend the Canberra Day long weekend down at Bega collecting some caches with FurfacesLL. We cached along the way and picked up a fair few across the whole weekend.
It was day 2 (the MAIN day) of the caching weekend. Today we had it planned to do the entire SST loop starting at Bega and finishing at Bega. We grabbed a couple SST caches last night, but today we will be targeting all the others.
We set off nice and early, and managed to complete the entire loop. We found ALL of the SST caches except for one at the old hall (which was occupied by some drunks). A big shout out to the CO for the efforts that would have been involved in establishing this series!! Cudos!! There were some amazing containers, each varied in designs which made for a wonderful caching day. We had lunch at Cobargo (we were starving by this time) and we snacked for dinner. We collected as many caches as we could along the way, mostly SST but there were also others along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, just know, we had a wonderful time and we enjoyed the range in difficulties of these caches also!
Just like JoannaAmyCarter stated, the key was a little confusing [?] Cache was located although we had to wait out some watching muggles.
Thanks dghoffy for the placement of this cache, we had a great weekend [^] Thanks for the company FFLL, had a great time as always

Lots of spiders and spider webs and ugh *shudders* but thankfully a fairly quick find. Lovely view too!
I found 21 'SST' caches today so I'll keep the comments brief. I couldn't find a few! A great series to which I will give a few favourites. Thanks dghoffy.
My, don't your legs look long. My, there are sure a lot of you. Even so, you didn't scare me away from the cache.
Out on a long adventure with Team Boeing737, mtrax and StrangeTrousers. Sorry for the generic and late logs. It was a spectacular day geocaching, finding a total of 46 caches, stretching all the way from Bredbo to Tathra (and back home to Canberra again), with B737 doing ALL the driving. This whole stretch was a part of Australia I hadn't visited before so there was definitely adventures to behold for me. Lots and lots of caches found, spotted my first giant wedge tailed eagle and was even able to wiggle my toes in the sand for a few minutes. We stopped at B737's lovely holiday home in Bega for lunch around mid day, before heading out again to find a ton more caches. I appreciated the variety of hides throughout the day, and the interesting places the caches brought us to. I definitely need to come back and explore the area some more. Thank you B737 for all the driving and organising this adventure and for the laughs and enjoyable company of Team mcBoeingStrangetrax! TFTC dghoffy!

#1509 10 of 46 today.
A long anticipated trip down to Bega and surrounds to tackle some of the SST caches that I've heard so much about. Today I was accompanied by Mtrax (happy 10,000th find Paul) mcktcj & B737. It was an early start after a busy week for me. I had a work deadline for Monday and only completed the task at 22:20 last night. So it was great to drop tools and get away for a day. It was cool & clear as we headed out of Canberra until we hit the top of Brown Mtn where the fog started to close in. This was quite a surprise for us & we wondered what it would be like lower down. Anyway, it was mostly grey with the odd patch of sunshine. We spotted quite a variety of (alive) wildlife over the course of the day including a magnificent wedge-tailed eagle just sitting on fence post as we passed. Also saw: at least 1 snake, wombat, an emu, several hawks, pelicans, ducks, echidnas, lizards, kangaroos & wallabies as well at the usual assortment of farm animals. Thanks for mcktcj for the delicious lunch enjoyed at B737's holiday house and thanks to B737 for the long drive. A very enjoyable day.
Apologies for the generic caches, I can't remember details of all the finds today & my GPSr kept crashing.
Thanks for the cache dghoffy.

Checked out the location today. The sign remains absent so we have moved on to plan B. Selected the site and got the idea. We will have it in place within next two weeks.
This cache is disabled due to the cache location being removed. It looks like the council intends to return it so we'll wait awhile to see if it can be sorted.
Couldn't attempt yesterday due to muggles. I'm pretty sure I know where it is but I'm not quite tall enough
Muggles nearby made for a restrained search. We enjoyed the views but sadly could not locate the cache. If it was on the civic guide sign, that has now been removed so you may want to check up on this one. Otherwise, just too clever for us today. TFTH
Clever! Searched in the wrong place first and made the spiders unhappy. Then went back to something I had seen first and it was the cache. Thanks for the views and the cache.
Nothing there so we will look there. Wrong! Wasted some time before realizing what we had first seen. Thanks for the interesting cache.
How white was the valley, filled with fog. 8 am Easter Saturday. TFTC. Happy Easter!

Realised after I grabbed this cache (a favourite MO of mine) that today is St Patrick’s Day. Going to dedicate this find, both name and camo, to the colour green.
How adorable! It was my civic duty to find this. Well disguised but an easy find with nyochi.
Suscoe's 7th find of the day in the very good company of Phetlern as we headed up the higway to visit a range of caches including the SST series.
A beaut day was emerging with mild weather and kind caching conditions.
We remember on our last visit finding one here a little over that wasy.
The view is still pretty good, so green and pleasant, no wonder the cows are happy.
Thanks dghoffy for this one.

The SST caches have been sitting on our geo-map like a ring of jewel boxes, since they were published last September. We eyed them off in October when we were nearby but weather put an end to our thoughts. With fellow Victorian cachers the Suscoe duo, our objective today was to head north from Bega and open the boxes to reveal the surprises on the western side of the ring. The work put in to create this series is absolutely outstanding both in construction and in the variety of hides which are cleverly themed in title or location. There was somewhere safe to pull off the busy highway close to each cache. We are looking forward to completing the series tomorrow.
Our thanks to dghoffy for bringing us here.

A touch of 'cabin fever' after days of wet weather, gave us the impetus to travel north to look for some sun for a few days along the NSW Sapphire coast; caching of course to break up the journey. We checked this out last night, with the option of possibly camping. Some muggles were there for the duration, so back this morning to find a sneaky hide

GrimRaider and I pulled in here to check out the views over Bega and pick up the cache. My dad would always make us stop here on the way to the coast - he grew up milking cows and always said that Bega had the best paddocks in Australia. Great memories and a beautiful view today. Nicely hidden cache too - all in good condition. Thanks again
Bit misty here this morning, still a nice enjoyable outlook, now back to the van for breakfast. Two contrasting campers here, one old mitsi van and one "A" class motorhome towing a large vehicle as well.
Decided to take a break from the powertrail, and give this one a go. Nice hide, stuck my sticker in the "box". thanks again DGH
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found between Eden and Cooma. We enjoyed our search very much! For this one a gave point awarded! Greetings from Belgium.
Awesome cache. Nice little find on a wet miserable day coming back from a family wedding in Victoria. Tftc
The hardest part of this find was waiting for the single muggle who appeared as we commenced our search too disappear again. We had an entire cuppa waiting. The find / sign / replace was done before she hit second gear. Great views to fill in the waiting time.
Travelling up to Wollongong for 2 weeks for work I decided to try and find some geocaches along the way. This was the first. an easy find. TFTC
On a short holiday at Bermagui with a couple of nights in Merimbula on the way home. Great weather and great caches.

Bit wet because of frost but the 1st time dad and I came up it wasent here! Found it this time round! Tftc
We were heading down to Bega now to grab some fuel before driving home. I suggested to the family that we should stop at the rest stop as there were some great views but they saw through my suggestion, knowing why I really wanted to stop. Anyway, they let me do it and a quick find was made. Spotted the cache fairly quickly. The hardest part was replacing the log book. TFTC dghoffy!

Eventually found it, just as I was going back to the car after giving up. Well hidden... Yet in plain sight!
