We couldnt find this one. It seems looking at past peoples photos that the statue birds have moved & we are wondering if bust has grown over where it is? We live locally so will keep an eye out if anyone else finds it & if so will pop back.
Geocaching in sydney, brisbane and anywhere in between, together with the 2 F's. TFTC
After having done the tree top climbing at the zoo this morning we're now doing some geocachions around the area. Thank you for placing this geocache for our enjoyment long sheet signed and return to its hidey hole. On a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
On holidays from Mackay with alphag_25 dodging the weather as much as we can. After a morning at Currumbin doing the Treetop challenge, headed up the valley doing the AdLab. Stopped here to drop off some TB after finding it difficult to find some larger sized caches in the area.
I love these pelican sculptures and remember seeing them at one of the first swell displays. They were bought individually and are now all over the coast.Tftc Aussie liahona.
Staying at Tugan for couple of nights with RoddyC, Hatzofff and grannysmith47 so and early morning start to get some Smilies a little south of usual. Some great scenery down this way. Cache found, log signed before replacing as found. TFTC
Early start this morning to avoid the heat. Now for some caching after breakfastTFTCache Aussie Liahona

More birds?. These things seem to be everywhere. They are so well created.
I was in the area doing cache maintenance and had time to rake a drive up Currumbin Creek Rd to find a few caches. This was the first one on my list.
The cache was quickly spotted and signed.

This afternoon I was out getting some outdoors into me and wound up around the Currumbin area. With more time to fill, I glanced at my Aussie Liahona map and realised I could collect a few. Which is nice because I'm rarely this far south. This geocache was mostest closest, so I set my navigation.
It was a long while ago I found the second in this series and somehow neglected to realise the first was active and elsewhere, rather than an original to the replacement. So that's nice, as I get a smiley for it today.
On the way in I noticed the big group of geese near the road, and then turned into the parkland. I've definitely never been here before and thankfully there weren't many folks about. With the sun low in the sky, I noticed the obvious general location and wandered over.
Naturally, I spent some time admiring the art before thinking about the geocache. I had to dodge some cobbler pegs to get there, but made a quick grab. The classic "pull a container from behind a low wall near some public interesting thing" felt so cliche and worthy of a video on the front page of geocaching.com. Someone come shoot a GIFF here?
All in good condition here of course. I signed my name just before 17:00 and replaced as found. Now down to look at the ponds. It seems they're either low or the tide is out at the moment. Alright, we're done here, where to next? Thanks for this geocache, Aussie Liahona

The second set of pelicans I’ve visited today… couldn’t spot any actual pelicans… just some geese across the road…
Thanks to spot on co-ordinates and the fact the cache was visible this was a quick find… I’ve returned the cache with a little more natural camo…

Thanks Aussie Liahona for showing us these beautiful sculptures. Area a little overgrown.
This was our second visit here. With some more investigation & being more game to do a little bush bashing (not far) we came up trumps.
Birds were very quite here today but keeping guard of the cache. All is good and thanks for this one
Quick find been to this park many times but have never noticed the birds before tftc
Out for some caching fun with Brislions. We were following a lab cache and picking up a few other caches along the way. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Selva Girls said she wanted to head down to Currumbin to pickup a few caches. We grab 19 today. Virtual, 2 mystery, and 16 traditional.
We had lots of fun today and we got very close to NSW border. But we don’t have a pass to cross the border, and that cache was only 2km away. ok maybe time.
Sorry for the generic post.

I was taking the scenic route home from work on the Gold Coast this afternoon, travelling with Mr muggle as we had car pooled together. He pulled up as requested and I made my way to gz. The cache was found after a short hunt and my name added to the log. What a pretty spot this is. Tftc Aussie Liahona
A very quick find, spotted by Mr Shifter as it was exposed.
There was a lighter, cigarette papers, filters and tobacco within the cache so it was all removed and disposed of in a nearby bin. We suspect that the cache may be being used as a stash place for a local.
Thanks for the hide Aussie Liahona.

Great cache. Thanks. Picked up my first TB! So excited to take this little guy with me on my work trip to the red centre!
Great spot and so close to me a suprise i havent gotten it before. Dropped of a TB.
Theres was also some lollies in there which i dont know but i would predict are against geocaching rules. If the cache owner could confirm these are against im happy to go and remove them but i left them incase

Nice spot, was able to offload some swag here so its well stock for the geokids out there. Tftc
A quick trip to the Gold Coast just for my cousin’s Hen’s weekend wasn’t going to allow much time to include some caching on my own so decided to stay on an extra 48 hours. Had a few challenge priorities in mind and just grab some bonus smileys along the way, including this one. Co-ords spot on but clue initially interpreted for too long at a wrong elevation that better matched D/T.
Thanks for this one! Also thank you to whoever left a ball behind. We traded and had a nice game of fetch with the geo dog.
My 2nd find for the day. now just with Hubby playing driver for me...
Easy find... TFTC

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found. A nice park nearby, no muggles in sight, so a quick find. The sculptures are impressive. TFTC

A great park, and some awesome sculptures! Had to use stealth here as lots of muggles on this warm morning. TFTC!
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
What fantastic bird sculptures these are. I was even able to get the muggle out of the car to photograph the sculptures while I made a easy find at GZ. TFTC

On our way home from climbing the Cougals today and dropped by to make an easy find.
All is good with the cache.
Thanks

Out this way looking for a GCA cache today, which I found. It's in the nearby park, and I'd recommend cachers check out the Australian Caching site. Once I had that one found, I moved towards the birds. They are so cleverly crafted! Such a pretty area that I've driven past but never stopped at. Nice easy find. Thanks Aussie!
Unbelievable !! We've found a place on the Gold Coast in Christmas holidays with NO ONE !! After cruising round and round at Currumbin looking for parks that turned every cache into a D5, this was parking bliss and a cacher's dream. And to make it even better, the cache was where we expected it to be. TFTC Aussie Liahona.
Nice, simple hunt in a pretty park with a lovely lake view. Nice spot for kids, &/or a picnic . Left a turtle for the slinky.
Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing here by this lake. Some wild birds to watch and a cache to find! I found it in the obvious place and was glad for the stealthy location so I could drop off a trackable from Yeppoon Qld and log without being seen. It was quiet here today, a couple fishing, a lady relaxing as she watched her granddaughter play and a few small groups enjoyng a late lunch. I took a few photos of the birds on watch as well as the lake. Thanks for bringing me to this serene place. I really enjoyed it.
Lovely place to have a picnic, thanks for bringing us to this spot and Tftc :^)
Stopped off for a quick grab on the way back from Cougal Falls. Cache was found, signed, and replaced, with heaps of camo. TFTC!
