The bear has wandered off again so he's being archived. Looking at rethinking the hide so watch this space
Sounds like it's gone walk about, disabling until I can find another container
We are off to Nelson for Labour Weekend. Unfortunately we agree with the previous visitors that it is gone. This was our fist cache in Faulkner's Bush and because it was the only one we didnt find we probably wont be back to find this one. Thanks anyway.
Had a good hunt around even got Geodog trying to sniff it out but looks like the possible hide has rotted away and there is a lot of ants
We searched everywhere, up-down, poked holes, disturbed the ground area, checked under rocks & surrounding grass & vegetation. There’s only one ‘corner post’ so we figured we must have the right spot . There is a hole in the post, perfect for a micro cache but that was empty & the rocks at the base had nothing underneath.
Thanks paddle chick for a great container that made me smile.
Tood a photo to show the family and they all enjoyed it (I wouldn't call them muggles anymore, but UNFORTUNATELY they are not into geocaching either). Had a short break here and then back to the car, it was a nice walk in the Park - logging a bit late, found some weeks ago, sorry.

I've found myself wandering here there and everywhere trying to follow the lab cache series and the occasional traditional cache. It's a bit of a rabbit Warren of tracks through here.
Thanks for putting this here

I decided that today I would complete the two AdLabs in Wakefield along with any bonus caches plus any others that might get in the way.
This was the third one that got in the way. Not me today as I had my hiking boots on. Ooops! this is spelt differently but has the same number of letters and actually the same letters but arranged a tad different.
Cheers for the cache.

Found with Tregearp on a balmy Sunday afternoon. Cache was out in the open - but all in good order. Signed log and replaced in appropriate spot covered by a couple of stones. Thanks paddle chick for another nicely constructed cache.
A quick find with SJT_NZ on a casual stroll in Faulkner Park, we'd been caching in the park several times before but always for some reason missed searching for this cache. The name was understandable as we got close to the cache. Thanks paddle chick, cache was out in open so have tucked back we we expected it should be and place rock on top.
My plan for the day was thwarted by a closed trail, so I came back to Wakefield to make up the difference. I was in this park doing the Adventure Lab several days ago, but was so involved, I forgot to find the regular caches in this park. Today, I corrected the errors of my ways. TFTC.
Just walked up to the Shade hse on the hill and c ame down the back way to see if the tracks go past here. Down the track and arrive at a wooden fence. Strange. give it a shake and it looks solid. Wierd. So I clamber over only to find at the right side the woodend GATE opens. DUH. Quick find but log wet and disintergrating. Replaced with temp RITR log. Cheers
Zara and I are in Nelson for a few days. Toby stays behind this trip as hes back at the Motor Drs. Zaras booked for a heater - which was a 'no go' in the end. Some caching and and event at Tahuna. And check out some Op shops. So lets go see what we can find.

A novel camo..the log is very soggy..I did manage too sign it..thanks paddle chick...lovely park area
We had a bit of time up our sleeve so explored Wakefield. Nicely themed cache. Log a bit wet making extraction tricky. All ok in the end though. Thanks for the placement paddle chick
VandersNZ found this one! Stopped for a pie on our way back from tapawera! Cute panda!
Found on a day when in area doing a adv lab cache. A few business like walkers around. Log damp but writable. Tftc
Thank you for this cache, paddle chick.
I'm in Nelson for a few days & came out to this lovely stand of native bush to claim the Adventure Lab series here - and was pleased to find this cache along the way.

A nice quick find thanks. A consolation prize, the phones died just as we were about to get the final of the Lab. We picked this one up as the GPS was still powered. Cheers
Found as we started to head back over the hill to Nelson. Golden Bay was all damp and a bit drizzly, and the Nelson side fine and sunny!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Out for a morning walk with the dog and grabbing a few caches. Had the park all to myself it seems this morning. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find here, nice container. Tweezers would be handy, but Tanya’s long nails came in handy. TFTC PaddleChick.
We came to Wakefield to get some lunch from the bakery before heading to meet friends at Rabbit Island. Tanya suggested we get a few geocaches while here. This meant we got to walk through Faulkner’s Bush, part of it she had not explored before. A good day out.

We are about to move into level 2 and caching will be allowed from midnight tonight so I'm reactivating my caches. Happy and safe caching
New Zealand is under Level 4 lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am disabling all my caches for the meantime to remind people that we MUST break the chain of infection.
Covid-19 is now being spread within the community, person to person. We know that the virus will remain on surfaces like metal and plastic for up to 4 days.
We have only one chance to stop the Covid-19 virus spreading further. This is to BREAK the chain of infection by keeping each household separated completely. During this time each of us MUST keep isolated and only share with the people in our own household.
The best advice is to act as though you are infected... which you might be.
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.
Playground equipment is out of bounds for exactly that reason- touching surfaces can spread infection.
Each of us has to do our bit to save lives. If the Covid-19 virus spreads, a lot of us will die. Maybe your grandmother, or my 9 year old neice who has who has an autoimmune disease
Stay home, stay safe, let's get to the other side of the pandemic before we go geocaching again.

When we cleaned out Wakefield of caches a while back, this cache was disabled. As we were out this way today to check on an inherited cache, we came down here and made a nice quick find. tftc
Very cute Cache. Nice easy find. Beautiful evening for a walk at Faulkners Bush. Thanks paddlechick

New container in place, slightly different location there is more than a couple of feet between the foot and the bear now but hopefully the bear will stay put. Coordinates and hint updated
I have a new container ready to place, just waiting on a fine day after work to go for a walk
Can't find it sorry. Think it may have been taken again. We tried everywhere even over the fence. Pictures looked cool though
