This cache has been problematic from the start. Often being DNFed when is actually there and has become frustrating to keep checking on it. Time for this one to go.
No horsey related objects found nor anything that could be a geocache. Lots of broken bottles however, so be careful everyone, and hopefully better luck than we had.
Traveled from Queenstown to Hokitika today and spending the night here...got out for a couple of evening caches...couldn't find this one, but it was getting dark, so could have easily missed it...
#17846. After a DNF yesterday the CO came through with some helpful info, and it didn't take too long to track down today. That was the last Hokitika cache on our list, so we headed off in search of a well earned coffee. We thought we would try the place we had lunch at yesterday, but it didn't open until 11. However, we found a good alternative and enjoyed a coffee before heading north to Greymouth (aka g7+m-land). TFTC.
We had looked for this cache yesterday and found neither the horse related object nor the cache . Reading through old logs later on, gave me the intel about what to look for, plus a plea for help from the CO was answered, so with a more precise hint, we soon found the horsey object [:p], then the cache. In our defence, it was really well hidden [:p].
Thanks g+m, it was great to turn a frown upside down, and the horsey object was indeed unexpected! TFTC.

Couldn't find either the horse related object or the pile of stones . May try again tomorrow before we leave Hokitika.
(# 5316). Today is day 2 of my West Coast trip. Weather wise the day wasn't to bad apart from an absolute deluge around lunchtime. No caching at the time as it was far to wet. Today was a trip to Hokitika then the gorge. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
This one I did find, but it wasnt till I had signed the log I saw what the title refered to, well done.
Cheers and thanks,

We werent having any luck finding our own cache, but in expanding our search we found a replacement from 2017 last signed in April. We moved it to (hopefully) a much more specific hint and we will see how it goes here.
No luck here at 0 meters and at hint object. Not meant to be this trip to Hokitika.
On a road trip south, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

Couldn't see how to get to this one from above so came at it from below and was a quick find thanks to the hint.
Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. My mission on this trip was to travel South and West and then East and North. I decided to stop for the day in Hokitika, so after finding a motel to stay in, I had time to find a few more caches before turning in for the night. I couldn't see what might have inspired the cache name but I might have just been getting tired. I did find the cache though. TFTC, Biggles.
On the road for a trip down the West Coast with our little caravan to explore this part of the country. It is not a caching expedition as such, but we do manage to stop for one or two
Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled down the Coast, many thanks, gracie7 + mum, for bringing us here. We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we travel on our way. TFTC.

Second day of caching on the west Coast an in Canterbury, and what a great day it was, around 100 cahes I think, Many thanks to all the cache placers. -Bitsprayer
That one made me smile, I came down the steps so started looking for the cache before seeing the 'object' the titles refer to. But once I saw it, it made me laugh.
After signing and replacing the cache, I continued down the steps and the right down the street. And there I saw something similar, although not as nice, but made me smile again after having just found this cache (see pic)

One of 11 caches found today between Greymouth and Hokitika. Changeable weather – started off dull, then rained before the sun came out for a considerable time, then rained again before we flew off home from Hoki. Didn’t make sense of the first part of the hint for this one. However managed to locate the cache without too much trouble. #2081. TFTC.
Hmmm, we stopped to check on this on aswell and couldnt find it either so we replaced it while we were already here. An uncamoed 50ml pill container with log. All good to go again. Happy Caching
This took a little to locate. Found hint but cache wasn't were I was looking to start with but it all made sense. Tftc
Took me a while to find the title name then I soon had the cache. No idea why it's there. Thanks gracie7 + Mum

The Seagnoid, Zara Toby and I are off for an expedition to the West Coast for a long weekend. Left Zara with her friend Total Span at Kumar Jnt while we explore Hokitika.
Another walkway to explore. Another snag and tag. Cheers

Day two of a three-day geocaching extravaganza with Taybeedragon.
Found the cache, but didn't find any reason for the cache title. Is this the way horses get taken to market? Perhaps its on the way to the My Little Pony hair salon? there's a gnome who makes bridle tack but is on holiday this weekend and had taken his open for business sign down? Maybe there was a real horse? but it was inside a Trojan Horse and so i didn't recognise it?

We did a maintenance run to Hoki today and stopped to check on this one. Yep, it is still there! This one should be easy, so its kinda irritating that its abit hit and miss. We moved the cache again - hopefully to a more specific hint location. I was tempted to archive it so next time theres a DNF I might not even consider visiting to make sure its still here. Happy Caching
My train from Greymouth to Christchurch was cancelled - so I booked a flight from here. Before heading to the airport and found some caches. This one could not be found.
**Thanks** for the cache!

*Finally vacation and time for the trip 'down under' to Australia and New Zealand via China. We’re expecting to see a lot of different animals and flowers and also hope to find nice caches and meet other geocachers during our journey.*

In Hokitika today for a cache maintence run. The cache was not where it shouldve been but we found very quickly on the ground and just as Mum had replaced it back in July still unfound. We moved it to the other side of the track. Happy Caching
Found the interesting item and the nylon line but no cache attached . Thought that was enough to claim a find but needs checking out . Thanks
Mum checked this today and added a new logbook and also a new lid.
We will leave it here for now and see how it goes.

Hadn't planned on this one as I'd had an unsuccessful visit once before. However we ended up at the start of the walkway and at least today there were the two of us to help with the search. Walked up the steps but before we reached the essential item I noticed what looked like it could have been pages of a log discarded on the side of the track. Once I had confirmed yes they were all parts of the log we then noticed the lid shortly followed by the container. Couldn't find the nylon attachment anywhere so have replaced it to the right of the essential item at GL in the interim. So I'm very pleased that we did visit afterall otherwise the outcome of the cache may have been different.TFTC #8737
Akirey and I visited in April and May New Zealand. First we decided to look around on the South Island including Steward Island then we went to the North Island.
All the time we enjoyed our trip. We saw a lot of sweet animals, amazing landscapes and met many nice people.
Also we searched for some caches. This one was one of them.
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Frankonia

When we made the find it became so obvious that we were surprised the cache is still there. As a casual passer by it is invisible though. Thank you Gracie7 + Mu
This one turned out to be a very easy find once on the right level and facing the right direction.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

Had almost given up then decided to put the brain in gear and it was in plain view all the time. TFTC
Found the clue easily enough but the GZ remained elusive until spotted from THAT angle

Sometimes you just don't have your geocaching brains on and I think for this one we didn't. No idea why or how it got here. Very interesting. TFTC.
Finally found the Walkway Hint, but it still took a few minutes to locate.
Probably it was made from days gone by,for some reason Luv these Walkways.TFTH

Allyssa(1yrs) loved the steps and tried to climb them all by herself. Log a wee bit damp so we replaced it

Found on a weekend in Hokitika visiting family. Found the item the cache is named after quickly, but spent a few more minutes searching before locating the cache. TNLN SL TFTC.
In Hokitika for our niece's first communion. Out for a bit of fresh air before lunch. TNLN SL TFTC.
Made me think..... and then I got a smiley. A quick find on a winters tour down the West Coast. The weather is great (though cool), and the scenery fantastic. What a beautiful country we live in. Thanks for the hide.
Driving from Franz Josef to Christchurch today and grabbed some caches along the way. Quick find. Signed log. TFTC!
Holidaying in the South Island, grabbing a few caches on the way. Early morning find while in Hokitika. Thanks for the cache.
Despite looking, initially we missed the interesting feature of the steps, but once that was found, it didn’t take too long to spy the cache. TFTC
